EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR MESSAGE

Dear Philadelphia PGA Member Professionals,

Welcome to the 100th playing of the Philadelphia PGA Professional Championship! With a registered field of 176 players this is setting up to be one of the best Championships in our long history. The event wouldn’t be possible without two fantastic venues. Our thanks go out to PGA Head Professional and Section President Jeff Kiddie and the membership and staff at Aronimink Golf Club along with thanks to PGA Head Professional Dave McNabb and the membership and staff at Applebrook Golf Club for hosting our championship. We know that everyone will enjoy these two wonderful tests of golf and the hospitality that they are providing for us. With our defending champion Alex Knoll attempting the rare three-peat, he will be leading a field of wonderful players and past champions that will be competing for the title. Our event is also supported by a number of great partners, national and local. We would like to thank our Presenting sponsors Club Car & GCI, Cadillac, Rolex and our supporting sponsors Titleist & FootJoy, Nike, TaylorMade, the PGA Tour, Golf Channel, Shipsticks, Destination Delco, and Precise Yardage Books for making the event possible! Best of luck to all of you and thank you for competing in our 100th championship! Sincerely, Geoffrey Surrette, PGA Executive Director Philadelphia PGA Section gsurrette@pgahq.com

Geoffrey Surrette, PGA

Dear Philadelphia PGA Member Professionals,

Jeff Kiddie, PGA

On behalf of Aronimink Golf Club’s Board of Directors, membership, and staff, welcome to the 100th Philadelphia PGA Professional Championship. It is a unique honor to be your Section president and serve as host PGA Professional during our centennial year. It is also exciting that Aronimink will host our Section’s most prestigious tournament for the first time, adding to the club’s repuation of providing a championship golf course to some of the most esteemed events in the world, including the PGA Championship, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, U.S. Amaetur, and U.S. Junior Amateur championships. Together with Applebrook Golf Club, this year’s host facilities are a perfect fit for our Section’s historic year. Aronimink offers some of Donald Ross’ boldest work that has stood the test of time, thanks in part to a recent project by Gil Hanse. From everyone at Aronimink and the Philadelphia PGA Section, best of luck in this year’s championship. We hope you enjoy the club as much as we do. If there is anything I, or my PGA Professional staff, can do you for, please do not hesitate to reach out. Sincerely, Jeff Kiddie, PGA Head Professional Aronimink Golf Club jkiddie@aronimink.org

HOST PGA MEMBER MESSAGE

HOST PGA MEMBER MESSAGE

Dear Philadelphia PGA Member Professionals, On behalf of the Applebrook Board of Directors, membership, and staff, I would like to personally welcome you to the 100th playing of the Philadelphia PGA Professional Championship.

Dave McNabb, PGA

As a past champion, hosting our Section’s premier championship has a special place in my heart. With the many world-class venues in our Section, we are proud to partner with Aronimink Golf Club to host you for what we believe will be one of the most memorable championships in our 100-year history! Founded in 1999 and designed by renowned architect Gil Hanse, Applebrook prides itself on firm, fast conditioning, and a golf experience difficult to find elsewhere. We welcome you to Applebrook and look forward to sharing that experience with you. As a relatively young club, Applebrook has played host to many prestigious local events as well as USGA qualifying tournaments. We are proud to add this premier championship to our resume and look forward to providing the best players in the Philadelphia PGA a fair yet demanding test of golf to determine our centennial champion! We wish you the best of luck during the championship. If there is anything we can do to enhance your experience, please do not hesitate to let us know.
