As usual, we begin by offering special thanks all those who contributed to the coordination of today’s discussions and awards. What constitutes a good leader? We may think of frontline respondents, directors and so on, but on equal footing with vocal leaders are those who lead behind the scenes through vocational industries like education, coaching, technical development, civil engineering and philanthropy. No matter whether you choose the path of Alexander the Great or the quieter path of Aristotle, you are a compass for those around you on the path to progress and reform. You disrupt, influence or connect because of your status and experience, particularly as society grapples with the changing landscape of an increasingly globalized, diversified and transparent reality. To lead others is at once a remarkable gift and a trying responsibility that requires a combination of wisdom and the warrior spirit that we, as Greeks, are so famous for. As we find new ways to work together for a better future, we ask you to consider one new thing you can do each year to make your direct and extended communities a better place. Ask yourself how you can take the lessons from today’s talks to find your place in the world and help others to do the same. Remember that your Greek roots – the unflappable faith and core values that come with our identity as an ancient community – is a precious gift and a powerful tool that both motivates and connects us across townships, nations and oceans. Our natural tenacity in all things allows us to consider complex issues and approach challenges with intuitive clarity and a quirky sort of optimism that is our trademark. As citizens of a global community reconnecting in a time of crisis, we all have the potential to be “disrupters” and “influencers.” I hope you will use this time and the knowledge you gain in the coming years to foster a positive, productive pivot towards life-changing, game-changing, next-gen opportunities. Take the time to see your own potential and to appreciate how essential you are to moving your community forward. No matter where you are in life you’re surrounded by an opportunity to experience, absorb, learn and move forward with clarity and support. Dear friends, We often say drastic times call for drastic measures. 2020 will become the year when this phrase will prove its worth. This year’s event ‘Philo4Thought Symposium’ will be entirely virtual, thrusting its way into a new chapter of what we name digital revolution, which will inevitably impact all three topics of our discussion: business, innovation and society. The more we see our mobile phones becoming an extension of our arm and the more the ‘Internet of things’ becomes the ‘internet of us’, then we will be witnessing the direction of all industries shifting. Is this the end of the world as we know it? Will societies fall apart because of this new disruption? Identity issues are raised even for century-old institutions such as the role of a state. Will it continue to regulate the way we enjoy our rights, educate ourselves, do business and solve our disputes? The pandemic outbreak of 2020 showed us that people turn to their governments for guidance and demand solutions. Technology, science and economy have never before intertwined more ubiquity in our modern times. Put together, they make a strategy. But the question remains: what type of leadership do societies need to build their own strategy? These pressing questions will be raised during the Spring 2020 Symposium because we all feel the need to guide our next generation of professionals, our new Hellenic-American leaders. The Consulate General of Greece in New York wishes to congratulate the Hellenic Mentoring Initiative for their continuous efforts and commitment to supporting the Hellenic-American Community. Although a Symposium is meant to come after a banquet, in our virtual reality we are satisfied with having plenty of food for thought.

On behalf of the Center for Genome Technology & Biomolecular Engineering (CGT-BE) we congratulate Philo4Thought’s Executive Board and team of dedicated volunteers – many of whom have studied here at Columbia – on the continuation of their fine efforts to provide students and young professionals with opportunities that will educate and empower them, especially during the current pandemic. Chris Salboudis has lent her expert administrative and student support to our interdisciplinary research group since 2005 while gaining additional doctoral-level training in the study of educational technology and its applications in diverse learning communities at Columbia Teachers College over the years, which led to the collaborative preparations for this year’s virtual symposium along with several other interdisciplinary educational symposiums. Her determination to form a synergy between students and professionals in different areas of expertise is truly admirable. She leads this group by example, with constant vigilance. Through diligent efforts, Philo4Thought has hosted its annual symposium at Columbia from 20152017, collaborating with prominent faculty as well as several student and alumni groups, including the Columbia Business School, the Hellenic Studies Program, the Hellenic Students Association, Women In Science at Columbia, the Columbia Alumni Association and the Columbia Club to support the academic and professional advancement of those in attendance. In 2016 I had the pleasure to provide support of their STEM Conference at Lerner Hall, which let to more robust recruitment of faculty and research experts from top universities and companies who served as speakers and mentors at the conference and for the many years since then. Philo4Thought’s team has done an amazing job in the recruitment of the finest speakers and advisors available for today’s young scholars and professionals. We are very pleased to see that the group has expanded since its inception and that the affiliated campus groups and partnerships that are continually forming are growing stronger through ongoing collaborations to this and related on- and off-campus educational initiatives. We wish them the best of luck in all ongoing efforts to promote collaborative philanthropic applications of innovative technological ventures. We would also like to offer our sincere congratulations to all those graduating this year, who are being honored by both the New York State Attorney General and Philo4Thought. Event Hosts Opening Address Dr. Konstantinos Koutras (Ph.D., University of Bonn; Post-Graduate Diploma, Informatics, University of Athens; Bachelors, School of Humanities, University of Bonn) is the Consul General of Greece in New York (2016-Present). Prior to this appointment, Dr. Koutras served as spokesperson of the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs, heading the Ministry’s Information and Public Diplomacy Department, duties initially entrusted to him by the then Foreign Minister (and current EU Home Affairs Commissioner), Dimitris Avramopoulos (2013-2016); Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs during elections under Foreign Minister, Ambassador Petros Molyviatis (2015); Spokesperson and communication strategy coordinator for the Hellenic Presidency of the Council of the EU, working under the then Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos (2014) and concluding his term under Foreign Minister, Nikos Kotzias (2016). Earlier in his career, Dr. Koutras was Diplomatic Counsellor to the Minister at the newly-established Ministry for Shipping, Maritime Affairs and the Aegean (2012), Head of the Justice and Home Affairs Department of Greece’s Permanent Representation to the European Union (2007-2011), and served a four-year tour at the Greek Embassy in Ankara, Turkey (2003-2007). Dr. Koutras lives in New York with his wife Popita and their son Dionysios.

Closing Remarks Harry Koulos, Esq. (J.D., Cum Laude, Georgetown Law (2014); B.A., History, Cum Laude with distinction, Yale (2011)) is a Senior Associate in Complex Litigation & Trials at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. He is a member of the New York and California Bar Associations and a Nikos Mouyaris 2030 Leadership Fellow for the Hellenic American Leadership Council. Prior to joining Skadden, Harry was law clerk to Hon. Thomas A. Varlan (Chief Judge, Eastern District of Tennessee). At Georgetown, Harry interned for the FBI's National Security Law Branch, the Air Force's JAG Corps and the Department of Justice's Torts Branch. At Yale, he received several awards, including the Francis Gordon Brown Prize for Juniors upholding standards of excellence in intellect, character, leadership, and service. Harry was also on Yale’s Varsity Baseball Team and played for the Greek National Baseball Team’s European Championships (2012).

Event Management Prof. Chris Salboudis, CPDC (Certified Life Coach, New Skills Academy (2020); M.A. English Language & Literature (2000) and M.A. Philosophy (1995), Columbia University; B.A., English/Philosophy, M.C.L. with honors, St. John’s Univ. (1994)) is the Founding CEO and Director of the Philo4Thought initiative. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Philosophy, English, Communications and Environmental Studies at several universities (1997-pres.), the Administrative Manager/Student Coordinator of the Center for Genome Technology & Biomolecular Engineering at Columbia University (2005-pres.), and has written for several American and Greek-American journals. In prior years, Chris served as Assistant Dean of Liberal Arts & Sciences at St. John’s University (2001-2003) and mentored countless students/young professionals through her work with the NIH-funded Minority Action Plan (2005-2010) as well as various Christian/Career Missions (1992Present). She is currently pursuing doctoral studies at Columbia University Teachers College and has given several presentations on Pedagogical Communities & Resources, Educational Engineering and Ethical Research Compliance Regulations at major academic forums in New York, New Jersey, DC and neighboring regions; she will be conducting online lectures in North American and Europe this summer as well She has earned various academic and community service awards over the years and continues to advocate for women, young professionals, and underrepresented minority communities.

Leadership & Society: Changing Landscapes Moderator Konstantinos Kalaitzidis (Computer Science, University of Thessaly, Larissa (UTH)) pursues various entrepreneurial endeavors including the Google Startup Launchpad in Warsaw (2017), where he led a team to pitch Groundifly. He is currently an Intern at the Consulate General of Greece in NY, IT Consultant at MEU Strasbourg (2020), UTH Computer Science Support Center and the Technology & Entrepreneurship Society; he curated the first TEDxLarissa, participated Model UN (University of Cambridge, 2018) and the MEU Strasbourg (2018), Brussels (2019) and Athens (2019). His leadership efforts bridge the gap between university training and the labor market to inspire and support the next-generation.

Featured Panelists Demetri Papacostas (Doctoral Studies in Finance, NYU Leonard Stern School of Business (1988); MBA, Pace University Lubin School of Business (1982); BA, Economics & Computer Science, NYU (1980)) has been at Bloomberg for 11 years where, among other responsibilities, he runs the market specialist group across all asset classes for the Americas. He previously worked for major financial institutions, primarily at JP Morgan Chase, heading the FX Derivative Structuring Group and the FX Sales Group. At other financial institutions, he ran FX Options and Precious Metal Option trading desks, FX Structuring and FX Sales. Demetri teaches a “Futures & Options” course at City University's Colin Powell School for Civic and Global Leadership to both graduate and undergraduate students and recently published the definitive book on FX, FX Options and the fascinating ways individuals engage with the market with co-author Francesco Tonin: Foreign Exchange Options and Risk Management: Market Dynamics, Models and Human Behaviour (available online). Dr. Thimios Zaharopoulos (Ph.D., Journalism, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, 1981) is the Provost of Deree-The American College of Greece. Prior to becoming one of the founding members of the college, which is based just outside of Athens, Dr. Zaharopoulos served as Dean, Interim Provost, and Vice President for Global and Lifelong Learning at Park University; as Professor and Chair of the Department of Mass Media at Washburn University; and as the Director of Graduate Studies in Communication and the Assistant Dean of Arts & Sciences at Pittsburg State University. Prior to holding these positions Dr. Zaharopoulos was a Fulbright Visiting Lecturer at Panteion University (Athens). In addition to his tireless efforts in support of the academic and young professional communities in the US and Greece, Dr. Zaharopoulos has written two books, Mass Media in Greece: Power, Politics and Privatization (1993) and Sports and Media (2008). His research centers around Greek media and the impact of foreign media on public perception. Marios Nicolaou (MBA, University of Central Lancashire, (2018); Bachelor of Laws - LLB Comparative Law, University of Wales, Cardiff (2011)) is the Founder of GreekTech, the largest nation-based accelerator for Greek-related startups in NYC and other parts of the US. He also currently serves on the board of two startups in addition to launching a ticketing platform called Ticketpro.cz in Czech Republic. Over the past three years Marios has supported and mentored countless community startups through fundraising, talent recruitment and related administrative and technical guidance. Prior to launching GreekTech, Marios held the role of Regional Expansion Lead, Growth, Business Development, Customer Success Management at Preciosa International. In previous years he founded a prop tech startup in Cyprus buyrentcyprus.com as well as an agency in Europe for artists to provide premiere coordination of concerts and festivals.

Keynote Address Moderator Andi Rustani (B.S., Biology (Pre-Med), CUNY Hunter College (2021)) is Philo4Thought’s Recruitment Director as well as a Medical Assistant at Lexington Medical Associates, a researcher at the Hunter College Bioinformatics Core Informatics Infrastructures Laboratory (Director, Prof. Krampis), and former intern at Lenox Hill Hospital and the Columbia University Center for Genome Technology & Biomolecular Engineering (Director, Prof. Ju). His interdisciplinary interests in biomedical research and clinical care led to specializations in Clinical & Emergency Support, Research & Development, Data Collection, Writing, Presentations and Administrative Support. He is also an avid supporter of youth empowerment, education and young professional advocacy.

Foreword to the Keynote Address Mike Manatos (Princeton University Woodrow Wilson School of Public Policy and International Affairs, 1990) is President of Manatos & Manatos, Executive Director of the Washington Oxi Day Foundation, and Board Member of several organizations including Make-A-Wish Foundation (MidAtlantic Division), Leadership 100 and the Project Mexico & St. Innocent Orphanage. He is an ARKON of the Ecumenical Patriarchate and a member of the Archbishop’s National Council. Mike’s unique knowledge of American policy and political processes has allowed him to build substantial relationships with various policymakers. Mike has served as an invited speaker, introducing top US policymakers and addressing key topics on US political process, including Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service Leadership Seminar for emerging world leaders.

Keynote Honoree NYS Certificate of Excellence: Innovative Leadership & Outstanding Global Philanthropy John G. Manos (Bachelor of Architecture, Univ. of Illinois 1984) was born in Rethymno, Crete and immigrated to Chicago with his family in 1967. He is a banker and a registered architect with professional experience in the development of commercial and residential, multi-family projects. PROFESSION: Having practiced architecture for many years, John and his spouse Elena launched a design-build company in Nashville, Tennessee (1986-1994), after which he returned to Chicago (1994) and became involved in commercial Real Estate Finance, which ultimately shaped his career. John is currently President of Bank Financial, Illinois’ largest Thrift (since 1998), which specializes in commercial real estate lending nationally. He is a board member of several civic, business and philanthropic groups. He is also an active member of various organizations and an invited speaker at various national industry-related affairs concerning various topics in Commercial Real Estate Finance. Additionally, his family’s commercial real estate property and management company led to the launch of a retail grocery store chain with his partners in 1996, which specializes in the import of Greek products. He served on the Bloomingdale Township Planning and Zoning Board and belongs to several notable local and national professional organizations in real estate (NICAR, ICSC, NAR), banking (IBA, MBA) and architecture (ALA). PHILANTHROPY: In addition to being a distinguished business leader and youth advocate John is widely known and recognized as a philanthropist by the Greek American and greater American communities. John is an active member of the Greek American community and very proud of his Hellenic roots. As such, he has held leadership roles and volunteers for a number of Greek American organizations. John was the 2011 President of the Pancretan Association of America (PAA), one of the largest Greek American organizations in the US. In this capacity he helped deliver several millions of dollars worth of medical aid to Crete and mainland Greece. He is Founder of the PAA Mentorship Program, which provides youth with the guidance and assistance they need to pursue and complete their academic studies, gain access to career-related internships and job opportunities. Throughout the years, John has assisted several Greek-American young professionals in obtaining well-deserved jobs at both the City and State levels. John also served as President and Chairman of the United Hellenic Voters of America, a non-partisan, civic organization. Additionally, he is a proud member of the Archbishop Iakovos Leadership 100 Endowment Fund, the parish council of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church and AHEPA. HONORS & AWARDS: In 2015, John received the prestigious Ellis Island Medal of Honor, noted and placed in the US Congressional Record. In 2013, the honor of “Archon Eutaxias” was bestowed upon John by the Ecumenical Patriarch during his visit to the Patriarchate in Constantinople; he was also appointed Regional Commander for the Archons of the Metropolis of Chicago and continues to serve in this capacity; additionally, the Archbishop of Crete recognized him for his Contributions to the People of the Island. The UHVA inducted John into the Greek-American Hall of Fame (2010) and Businessman of the Year (2008). In 2007 former Mayor of Chicago, Richard M. Daley, and the City Council awarded John an Outstanding Citizen Award. PRIDE & JOY: John and his spouse Elena live in Bloomingdale, Illinois. They have three children, Patricia, George and Eleni, and a granddaughter Spiridoula.

Women & Leadership Moderator Alexandra Liotopoulos (B.A., Political Science and Economics with a minor in Business and Liberal Arts Honors, CUNY Queens College (2021)) is Philo4Thought’s Programming Director and President of the CUNY Queens College Ikaros Hellenic Orthodox Students Association. In prior years, she completed our Business Internship with a project that focused on nonprofit research, development and leadership. She is a staunch advocate of her peers and dedicated a great deal of time to community leadership and the general advancement of the Greek Diaspora. Her specialties include event coordination, community outreach, policy development and compliance.

(Bachelors, Law, National Kapodistrian University of Athens (1997); Master of Laws (LL.M.), Commercial and Corporate Law, King’s College, University of London (1998); Masters, International Relations (GMAP), Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy, Tufts University, Boston (2006)) has served as a Member of Parliament since 2007 (Rethymnon, Crete, 2007-09; Athens, 2009-pres.); as Minister of Tourism (2012-2015); and legal advisor to the Prime Minister of Greece (2004-06). Hon. Alexandra Vassilaros (BFA Acting, New York University, Tisch School of the Arts (1981)) is an award-winning playwright and Pulitzer co-finalist for Drama. Her plays have been performed internationally and regionally and she has also co-developed tv projects for HBO and Killer Moxie Films. She is the Founder of the Make Meaning Workshop, a writing initiative for healing from grief and loss as well as President and owner of Vassilaros & Sons Coffee Company (2015ff), a 4th generation family business established in 1919, where she initiated the deployment of strategic investments to increase the company’s production capacity and distribution capabilities. Alexandra is a Board Member for the 52nd St. Project, a not-for-profit organization for at-risk youth based in Hell’s Kitchen, where she established The Johnny Fund, which offers matriculating teens access to mentoring and college prep resources. She is a Board Member of the NYC Bowery Mission, an organization delivering care to people recovering from the crisis of homelessness. Terrylynn Smith (B.S. Health Education and Community Health, Stony Brook University (1974); Certificate, Leadership & Coaching, Georgetown University (2009)) is Founder of Giraffes Consulting. Commonly known as “the employment whisper” amongst her clients and friends, She helps people who are unemployed or “bored” in their current career path; she also helps new college graduates face their fears and find a position with purpose. After 30 years as a Human Resources Executive she decided that Career Coaching would be the next chapter in her professional life. Today her clients span all levels of professional development. Terrylynn also volunteers as a Leadership Coach and Mentor for Braven, a non profit organization dedicated to helping students with their college-to-career transitions and is a regular guest speaker and mentor for Philo4Thought’s young professional network. Artemis Kohas (M.A. Applied Psychology, NYU (2000); B.S. Psychology Lafayette College (1997); College Years in Athens (1996)) is Founder of the Kohas Agency, which is dedicated to bringing a personal touch to her work relationships to ensure that each client receives individual treatment that highlights their needs, goals, and skills, while understanding where improvement is required and how to best address it. She is a well-rounded communications and PR professional with a special expertise in all things Greek and is known for leveraging her connections in the US and Greece to connect people and create memorable, engaging events, building a community that lives beyond a one-night experience. Her professional and philanthropic work spans several organizations including A Caring Hand, the NYC Dept. of Education and The Hellenic Initiative.

Young Professional Leadership Moderator Konstantina Kalliontzi (B.A., Politics, International Relations and Economics Student, at University College Dublin, Ireland (2021)), is an Intern at Community Federal Savings Bank and serves as the Social Media Manager and Translator for TEDxLarissa. Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Konstantina emigrated to New York and has a very diversified worldview as a result. She is fascinated by the world of politics, particularly US and Greek foreign policy. Upon graduation, Konstantina intends to pursue a career in diplomacy or public service.

Gabelli School of Business (2008)) is a nonprofit administrator and philanthropist with over 15 years experience in the nonprofit sector with his substantial efforts as Director of Operations and Development for the Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry (2014-2020), and as Regional Director of the Archdiocesan Stewardship Appeal for the Archdiocese of NY (2008-2011). In the young professional sector, he is known for his energetic support of the Annunciation Young Professional Mission, annual Mistletoe Gala, and related activities designed to get young professionals engaged and connecting with one another.

NYS Assembly Honorees Certificate of Excellence for Lifetime Achievements Paulette Poulos We are deeply honored to present this year’s Certificate of Lifetime Achievement to one of the most dynamic women in our network for her countless years of dedication and service to marginalized individuals struggling in work and in life. She is a remarkable example for people from all walks of life. Paulette Poulos, a beloved philanthropist, is celebrated for her outstanding contributions to the community and the way in which she has taken the time and effort to touch the hearts and lives of so many. She has spent a lifetime promoting the deepest values of our culture and faith, truly embodying the concept Philotimo (φιλότιμο) in her lasting and positive impact in the lives of so many. We are proud to share her story with you today. Paulette is the Executive Director of the Archbishop Iakovos Leadership 100 Fund, Inc., a leading charitable membership organization, whose purpose is to support the Greek Orthodox Church in America and advance Orthodoxy and Hellenism. She was appointed to Leadership 100 as Director Director of Development in 2005, ultimately being named Executive Director in 2011. Her career spans some 55 years of executive leadership, financial development, philanthropy, Church and community service. His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros appointed her to a newly established advisory committee, “Senators for Orthodoxy and Hellenism”. Beginning in 1965 with the Department of Laity of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, she moved rapidly to become Associate Director of Youth Ministry in 1970, Director of LOGOS, one of the main stewardship agencies of the Church in 1972, and Administrator for the late Archbishop Iakovos serving from 1984 to 2005 upon his passing. Throughout her years of service, Paulette has been a strong advocate and supporter for the Clergy. Paulette is credited with having raised significant funds for the Greek Orthodox Church of America, Hellenic College/Holy Cross School of Theology, the Archbishop Iakovos Library and Learning Resource Center and Leadership 100. Her expertise in administration, development, philanthropy, public speaking and membership cultivation in the United States and worldwide earned her recognition and honors from numerous organizations, including the 2006 Honoree of Hellenic American Neighborhood Action Committee (HANAC); the 2008 Commendation by the City of New York, Office of the Comptroller; 2008 Hellenic College/Holy Cross School of Theology Women’s Vocational Ministry Award; and the 2014 Hellenic Heritage National Public Service Award presented by the American Hellenic Institute. Paulette has served on numerous committees and boards including the Governing Board of the National Council of Churches of Christ, National Committee for the Archbishop Iakovos Library and Resource Center at Hellenic College/Holy Cross School of Theology, Brookline, Massachusetts and the Archdiocese National Youth Commission. She is an active member in the Greek Orthodox Community and is a member of the following parishes: Archdiocesan Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, New York City, Three Hierarchs, Brooklyn, New York, St. Fanourios, Elizabeth, New Jersey and the Church of Our Saviour, Rye, New York. Paulette grew up in Brooklyn, New York and is the daughter of the late Rebecca and Charles Poulos. She has a sister Carol residing in Yonkers, New York and a brother, Peter residing in Brooklyn, New York, a graduate of our Theological School. Paulette presently resides in White Plains, New York.

NYS Assembly Honorees Special Tribute: Lifetime Achievements Gus Ouranitsas We’re concluding this segment with the special presentation of a long-overdue Certificate of Lifetime Achievement to a long-time sponsor and mentor to many individuals throughout the greater Hellenic community. Konstantine (Gus) Ouranitsas was born in Volos, Greece and immigrated to the US with his parents and two siblings at the age of 7. He grew up in East New York, Brooklyn and Jane Street, Manhattan. Following in his father’s footsteps, Gus became a resident manager, first of a building in Greenwich Village then in Battery Park City where he managed a 550-unit luxury condominium called Liberty Court for about 35 years. In the aftermath of September 11th, Gus helped ensure the safety of the residents in his care, staying with those left behind who were unable to flee to safety. His building had the only working generator that helped many first responders charge phones and equipment and he personally worked tirelessly to get the building clean and help its many residents of Liberty Court return to their homes. While the residents called Gus a hero, in his usual way he humbly said he was just doing whatever he could do to help. Additionally, Gus has always been passionate about the Greek community and has generously donated and contributed to various Hellenic causes and organizations including the Pontian Society “Komnini,” where he served as Treasurer for two years. Whenever Gus speaks of Greece he does so with a warm smile and tremendous pride because he understands the true meaning of what it means to be Greek: to be kind, generous, willing to listen, always learning and always acting with a strong sense of philotimo. He and his wife of 32 years, Maria Ouranitsas, have passed these values on to their children, Konstantine, Nestor, and Marina, who are their ultimate pride and joy. As anyone in the community will tell you, to know Gus is to love him. It’s this natural combination of courage, wisdom and humility that we are taking the opportunity to celebrate today.

NEW: 2020-21 Mayoral Awards Celebrating Our Heroes This year the NYC Mayor‘s Office approached our CEO for the names of those in her network who have dedicated over 100 hours of philanthropic effort to the improvement of the community. Several certificates have been distributed to our community heroes this year – First Responders, Technical Support specialists, educators and individuals who have stepped up to the plate time and again… because it’s simply the right thing to do. We commend you for going above and beyond what is required of you in work and in life.

Proceeds & Donations Since Philo4Thought’s inception, the Executive Board has made every effort to work with students and young professionals from all areas of interest as they take strides to flourish. Alumni from Philo4Thought, NHSA and affiliate HYP organizations lead the next generation by example from the vantage point of very successful Hellenic Professionals with remarkable professional and personal convictions and an admirable sense of community spirit and service. A special fundraising initiative is being held to research, identify and improve opportunities for the use of collaborative technological resources that will open the door for Hellenic students to obtain a more robust level of educational and professional training. Proceeds from all events and memberships support Philo4Thought’s ongoing philanthropic educational initiatives (listed above) and to help us acquire the resources needed to continue improving our programming and outreach efforts. A portion of the proceeds is dedicated to our interns and collegebound scholarship initiative. Special affiliate projects within the Hellenic community are also supported with the donation of time, advisement and/or funding based on a case-by-case needs assessment and our available resources.
