As a past chair of the 2004 Parade of Homes, I can say a lot has changed over the years, but the

These Standards create a series of performance standards that builders and customers can use to communicate and understand each other’s expectations regarding building/remodeling projects.

The Standards address the most prevalent issues that arise between the builder and the customer before the project, during the project, and most importantly, after the project is completed. All too often it is the unrealized or undiscovered expectations that create the majority of the problems encountered in the building/remodeling process. The Standards will help eliminate these problems before the project even begins. The Indiana Quality Assurance Builder Standards provide you with the confidence that professionals in the industry are handling your project. Make sure your builder of remodeler is a member of the Builders Association of Elkhart County and a Standards Builder and/or Standards Remodeler, and be sure that you receive your Standards manual at contract signing or at closing.
