2017 is upon us. Who ever would have thought that humanity would be upon the edge of the future and yet still, no hoverboards and no flying cars. One thing is for certain however, as we march relentlessly into the future, the primal beating of a drum accompanied by inspired musicians still forms the centre of many of our lives. January is often a quieter time of year, with time being given to adjust to the post-holiday phase. However Independent Venue Week have decided to turn that tradition upon it’s head, backing a whole host of exciting events across the country. Riot Grrrl group Skinny Girl Diet head up Independent Venue Week which will see 60 Million Postcards, The Old Fire Station, Sound Circus and The Anvil all play their part.
