Professional Photographer's Society of Central New York, Inc. ( PPSCNY) or as we like to call ourselves "Central", welcomes you! Our ogranization is for anyone pursuing to fruther their education, bettering their business practices and mastering their photogrpahy craft! We find pride in the strong sense of community and family within our organization! Our purpose is to unite professional photographers from Central New York, stay current with trends, teach and share best business practices, and latest techniques in the photographic industry. We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of every month in Liverpool, New York. Starting our meetings with a cocktail/networking hour, dinner, and then diving head first into scheduled educational programs. We are an organization that is comprised of wedding, studio portrait, landscape, and fine art photographers. Through presentations by experienced professionals, combined with collective learning, we continue to improve and grow in membership and as a community.

FAQ’s What is PPSCNY? Professional Photographers of Central New York, also known as PPSCNY is a non-profit, member based organization which includes photographers all over the central region of New York State. Our organization works closely with photographic educators from all over to learn the latest trends, discuss business practices and latest techniques in the photography industry.
Where & When We meet the 3rd Wednesday each month in Liverpool, NY OR via ZOOM when Covid numbers are high. There are a few times through the year where a different meeting location is required based on the educational meeting that is planned for that specific month.
I’ve joined, What now?! YAY! We cannot wait to have you at monthly meetings, workshops, and other evnets! Our organzation prides its self on the storng sense of community we have within. Make sure you are on our email list to stay on the look out for annoucements, and meeting schedules. This is going to be our best year yet!

President's Message: JD Albro Welcome and thank you for checking us out! PPSCNY stands for Professional Photography Society of Central New York but more importantly what that means to you as a member of our family is that you are surrounded by many talented artists. Mostly in the field of photography but we also have some very talented videographers here as well. Talent ranges from seasoned professionals to beginners. Some practicing their craft full time and some part time and some just for fun but all are here to help each other grow and learn. But what really ties us all together is our commitment to helping each other to stretch & grow. Personally I have been involved with this group for at least 15 years or so and one of the reasons I find this group so valuable is how much everyone is willing to help another artist learn their craft and strive to help you to be the best that you can. I am sure if you were to interview various members of our family they would be more than happy to tell you how much they have grown professionally as well as the wonderful friendships they have formed with other members of our family. We meet the third Wednesday evening of every month, welcoming speakers from many different areas of photography as we can find (mostly member driven for what everyone would like to learn). For example weddings, babies, families, lighting, seniors, marketing, landscapes, various software training and much much more! We search “high and low” for our speakers and they come from all over. For example from within our own group, NY State and even sought-after national speakers from across the country. We even offer affordable one and two day workshops at least twice a year! It’s a great escape to learn, grow, decompress and have a lot of fun. I hope I have peaked your interest enough to at least check us out. So come to a meeting as our guest to see just what we are all about and see for yourself if you find it as valuable as we do! We also have a very interactive Facebook group we use to keep in touch with each other as well as getting information out to each other to help us learn. Code of Ethics The following is hereby adopted as the Code of Ethics of the Professional Photographers Society of Central New York, Inc. The practice of photography, both as a science and an art, is worthy of the very best thought and endeavor of all who enter it as a vocation. Our colleague photographer’s name and reputation shall be as sacred to us as our own. No untrue or misleading statement shall be made in any way, in any form of business promotion. It shall be our duty to impart freely of our knowledge, individually and as an organization, so that the professional and his or her work may be raised to higher standards. Professionally, we shall strive to serve the public to the best of our ability.
