Welcome I’M NERVOUS...WILL I BE COMFORTABLE WITH YOU?

Whether you are a glamorous girl who loves shopping, a bookworm, a musician, a social butterfly, a gamer, a baseball player, someone who works a lot.....you will feel comfortable with me!!! I frequently receive compliments from parents stating that their son/daughter felt a lot more comfortable with me and had a lot more fun than they thought they would and they left feeling amazing!!!! I substitute teach at Baker High School and Durgee Junior High School (I also taught full time for fifteen years) and fell in love with the drive, energy, and beauty that all teenagers posess. EVERYONE is unique and those qualities are what make us interesting. I will get to know you and plan your shoot around YOU and YOUR goals for our shoot. Your portraits will NOT look like everyone else’s. They will truly reflect who you are. When you can be yourself, you will shine and look GORGEOUS! Chances are you already know someone (or many!) who have already worked with me... ask around! On a more personal note, I am a mom to two teenage boys and two adorable pups as well as a wife, working full time as a photographer and graphic designer. I love shopping, movies, hanging out with my family and friends, and traveling. I am truly passionate about what I do and I think this comes through in the expressions of my gorgeous clients :) I am the President of the Professional Photographer's Society of Central New York (50 photographers strong!) I really can't WAIT to meet you!!!

FAQ’s All images are coypright protected I GRADUATE WITH THE CLASS OF 2023. WHY CAN’T I WAIT UNTIL CLOSER TO MY GRADUATION DATE TO HAVE MY PICTURES TAKEN? Yearbook pictures are generally due to the yearbook staff in late September or early October. Most seniors are photographed between June and August. I am aware of the deadlines, sizes, and background requirements for most districts. Once I photograph you and you have chosen your favorites, I do the rest for you!!! If you’d rather do your

yearbook pictures early then your full shoot later, we can do that too!

CAN YOU DO TOUCH UPS FOR ACNE, SCARS, SUNBURN, ETC?

YES! It is a must for many teenagers. I will also whiten your teeth, remove any lines you want removed, soften your face...I’ve even ‘cut hair’ and add eyeliner and mascara that was smeared off in the water! To protect the feelings of my clients I do not have before and after examples of breakouts to share. SOME THINGS, HOWEVER, ARE HARDER TO EDIT, SUCH AS BRA STRAPS, BAD SUNBURNS AND WRINKLED CLOTHING, SO DON’T ASSUME I CAN FIX THOSE !!! IF YOU END UP NEEDING THEM FIXED I WOULD NEED TO HIRE A HIGH END PHOTOSHOP PROFESSIONAL! $$$

DO I HAVE TO USE MY SCHOOL’S ‘OFFICIAL PHOTOGRAPHER’?

No. In the state of NY it is law that YOU select the photographer of your choice. I have existing relationships with most school districts! I ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING FORMS OF PAYMENT: VENMO @amy-davis-43756 (last for of cell 8958) CHECK/CASH ($30 charge on returned checks!!!) Prior to your session I will email you a short questionnaire so that I have a clear idea of the expectations that you have for our session together. It will also ask some questions so that I can get to know you and your family’s needs a little bit better! AT THIS TIME YOUR nonrefundable $100 DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED (check, cash, paypal, credit, debit) to secure your date and time.)

THIS DEPOSIT WILL GO TOWARDS PRINTS AND MERCHANDISE, NOT your session fee.

Day before session: session fee is due! The day of your session is here When you arrive at your scheduled time I will get to know you a little first! Get ready for a great time sprinkled with laughs, fun & creativity! We will take a look at any outfits and props you have brought with you. Bring any ideas you hadn’t already sent me! At this time your session fee is due.

If you broke out...no worries, that is what Photoshop is for!!!

At this time we will book your reveal and ordering session!!! (usually within a few days to a few weeks after your session :)

Within 72 hours of your session

I will send you a link to a sneak peek of your session! A few may be edited (wait until you see the power of a professional natural edit!) but most will be untouched proofs with watermarks, waiting for you to pick which ones speak to YOU and YOUR family. Think about what merchandise you will want/need! It is NOT necessary to purchase everything at once! Many of my seniors start with packages and/or prints and books shortly after their session, then order invites, announcements and/or thank you cards in the spring!

Within a month of your session

Now we will meet to place your order! This session may be in person at my studio or over the phone. Payment is due when your order is placed. Payment plans are available! You are NOT tied to packages, I’ll create one for YOU, based on your needs! Your order is usually here within one to three weeks :) Most of you will already have a $100 jump on your purchases!!!

This is a senior who REALLY wants to show off their personality, nearly anything goes! If you want to be photographed with your horse at a farm or wading through the waters at Chimney Bluffs, this is the session for YOU!!!** This session may also be split between two seasons! 2 or so hours of shooting and travel gives us time to get your yearbook shot and portraits taken at a unique location, 5 outifts!

level up your senior session NOT ENOUGH TIME TO DO ALL YOU WANT? Many seniors want pictures on the turf but can't fit it into their shoot / schedule. Maybe you want cap and gown pictures / college portraits closer to graduation? Maybe you want a session with your pet but don't want it the same day as your main shoot. A shoot with your prom dress / tuxedo at a cool spot? Fine art portraits with the magnolias in the spring?

I will now be offering 'level up sessions' throughout the year! $40 and up! Not only does this give you another opportunity to add to your session but it also encompasses several seasons, which is something clients have been asking for for years!

Locations NOT SURE WHICH SESSION TO CHOOSE? Many seniors base their session on WHERE they want them taken. You may want a certain look such as urban/trendy, or something more soft and laid back, or even something soothing like near the water.... or all three (BVille ultimate!) My SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS are a great way to check out LOTS of locations, as well as get ideas for favorite poses, outfits, tips and more!

Photo Session Perfection HAVE FUN WITH IT, think magazine shoot!!! BRING A TRENDY OUTFIT, AN ACTIVITY/SPORT/PET, etc (no sport or activity? bring another trendy!) I have a ‘closet’ with accessories for you to borrow if necessary!

FACE

MORE MAKEUP THAN USUAL.... the camera EATS IT off your face! Don’t forget your lips.... I also have tons of glosses IF YOU DON'T :) LOVE lashes?! Wear some natural falsies! GORGEOUS, simple makeup :)

drink lots of water for a few days and avoid the sun a day or two before... I can't always photoshop burns, I may need to hire a professional editor! editor LIPS: gloss, lipstick or balm at minimum! BROWS: Plan on taking care of unwanted hair at least a day or two prior! IT’S SO IMPORTANT TO WEAR THE RIGHT UNDERGARMENTS! UNDERGARMENTS! Some sheer dresses and tops require nude underwear. Bra straps should not show, even if it is in style. Sometimes a strapless bra is a must!!!

BODY

DO NOT ASSUME I CAN PHOTOSHOP OUT STRAPS, WRINKLES, ETC!!!! I AM A PHOTOGRAPHER, NOT A MAGICIAN!

CLOTHES

Bring clothes freshly pressed and on hangers with COORDINATING ACCESSORIES to save time! Use INSTAGRAM and PINTEREST for inspiration! If you don’t love your arms, think long, flowy sleeves. In photographs arms can appear larger than they are!

Be comfortable, it will show! Throw a trendy jacket over a plain outfit and add boots, wedges or heels, VOILA! So CUTE! Same goes for jewelry and hats! BRING COMFORTABLE SLIP ON SHOES FOR WALKING! Nails should be neat and classic, avoid trendy colors... think neutral! Start with hair down then up for the last shots! If meeting with a hairdresser be sure to bring pictures... it's not a time to try something new! new

HAIR & NAILS

Be comfortable, comfortable it will show!

Perfection for Him BRING AT LEAST THREE OUTFITS: YOU MAY NOT WEAR ALL OF THEM, BUT YOU'LL HAVE CHOICES! Casual, trendy/dressy (well, as dressy as you feel comfortable!!!), and ACTIVITY/SPORT Avoid clothing with logos and words (unless it’s a jersey). It will distract from your gorgeous face! If you are wearing a tie (and you don’t know how to tie it) have someone do it for you loosely so that all you have to do is slip it over your head and tighten it up! YouTube is great as well! Feel free to bring more than one! No need to wear dress pants for your yearbook picture! ;) They won’t show, be comfortable! Jeans look AWESOME in pictures, especially with jerseys! Bring clothes freshly pressed and on hangers! Accessorize! If you play a sport, instrument, etc, bring your equipment, ALL of it.... if you LOVE your pet, arrange to bring your furry friend! They will be sure we capture a natural smile :) If your favorite look is the scruffy look, go for it, but avoid the sloppy scruff (on your neck, etc). If you want some with scruff and some without, bring an electric razor and we will do your more formal pictures last!! Be sure nails are clipped and clean! Chapstick for dry lips!

What to wear your outfits will help tell your story The answer to this question depends largely on your personal style, interests, and how many clothing changes they’d like to do. The session that you choose dictates how many clothing changes you have. Your yearbook picture is your first consideration. All districts require you to follow the school’s dress code. MANY districts are very strict when it comes to necklines and shoulders for your yearbook picture. If you have a nice long sleeved shirt that you like, I strongly recommend it! Districts vary from casual to suit and tie for men. Some districts mandate the color of the background, so check the literature they gave you (usually on their website) for color restrictions. I do have a few things in ‘Amy’s closet’ that meet guidelines, but not in every size!
