Board Member elected as RDC VI private sector representative
THE Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) – Iloilo Chapter will be holding the banner of all civil engineering professionals in the Regional Development Council (RDC) VI, the highest policymaking and planning body in Western Visayas.
After its successful accreditation as private sector organization in the RDC VI, the PICE Iloilo Chapter went on and nominated Engr. Felvin Gurrea, member of the Board of Directors, as one of the 12 sectoral private sector representative (PSR) to the council.

Twenty-five percent of the RDC VI is comprised of PSRs as mandated by Executive Order No. 325, series of 1996.
The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) VI, which serves as secretariat, shared that private sector representation in the RDC ensures participatory decision-making process and substantial representation in terms of agenda formulation and addressing multi-sectoral regional development concerns through policy recommendation and formulation.

The RDC VI is the highest policymaking and planning body in Western Visayas and serves as the primary institution that coordinates and sets the direction of all economic and social development efforts in the region.
It is composed of 71 regular members and 4 special non-voting members. Of the regular members, 18 come from the private sector which includes the PICE Iloilo Chapter for the term 2022-2025.
