The organization had to prepare several documentary requirements proving its legitimacy and commitment to regional development.
Nonetheless, the PICE Iloilo Chapter believed that the accreditation will bear fruit in ensuring civil engineers can provide their expertise toward nation-building.
“This will open opportunities for us and our members to collaborate and contribute directly to the region’s development,” Engr. Grio added.
Among the minimum criteria for the selection included: (1) legal personality, (2) performance, and (3) nationality. (RCM/PICE Iloilo)
Engr. Gurrea had to undergo a sectoral committee election to secure one of the three slots in the Infrastructure Development Committee on August 16, 2022 and he was formally inducted to the full council of the RDC VI on August 18, 2022.
Having been inducted for a three-year term from 2022 to 2025, Engr. Gurrea will be joining the quarterly meetings of the IDC and the RDC where he can amplify the sentiments of the civil engineering professionals as well as the construction industry.
Engr. Gurrea is currently the VicePresident for Construction of F. Gurrea Construction, Inc. He graduated from De La Salle University in Manila and earned a bachelors degree in civil engineering major in construction technology and management. (RCM/PICE Iloilo)
