Hello Superheroes! Welcome to the month of May! May means AP tests, graduation, prom, start of summer, and so many other things. However, we’re coming down the final stretch for school, so keep working hard. Study hard for those tests and finals, but remember to take breaks and leave some time for yourself! While school is ending, the 2017-2018 Key Club term is just beginning! Last month, we celebrated this by attending DCON 2017. 19 of our members attended, and we all had tons of fun from attending workshops to dancing at Governor’s Ball. I hope each of you will be able to go next year, as it really is a great experience! With this new term comes new goals, new officers, new spirit, and more. Our goal of 9000+ hours seems huge, but I know we can do it. Please help us accomplish it! I have high hopes for this term, as I know all of you are amazing. This club would definitely not be where it stands without you. Thank you for being a part of Key Club, and please help to really make this the Diamond Term!

DCON experiences “DCON 2017 was extraordinary! Although we did not win any spirit sticks, I was happy to cheer with our division. My favorite part was the general sessions, especially general session 3, which was the Awards Ceremony and talent show. I loved meeting new friends and seeing old ones. DCON 2017 was a great experience and I look forward to DCON 2018 in Reno!” Jennifer Lam (11) “DCON 2017 was an amazing experience! Everywhere you looked there were Key Clubbers happily chatting with one another and showing off their division’s spirit. Once we got to the First General Session, it was jaw-dropping. This is when I finally realized how many people had actually came to DCON. There were people from all over California, Nevada, and Hawaii, and because of this, there were huge crowds everywhere. This made our usual spirit battles even more exciting since everyone was chanting and screaming. It was a truly great experience where not only did we meet new people and enjoy ourselves, but we also had the opportunity to learn how to become better Key Clubbers, as an officer of PHHS Key Club, but more importantly as a member of Key Club. I think everyone should definitely take the opportunity to go next year as it will help you not only as a Key Clubber, but as you go on to college and beyond.” Yash Tanna (11)

from the

Media Director Hello Superheroes! Amy and I will be taking over newsletter making from our talented predecessors Judy and Samantha for the 2017-2018 term. The newsletters for the last year were amazing and we will try our best to match that. I hope you enjoyed the first newsletter of the term as much as I enjoyed making it! I also hope that you will continue to read the monthly newsletters in the future as well. To all of you upperclassmen, good luck on AP testing! You can do it; I know it sucks, but only a few more days to push through! Just kidding, there’s still finals left. Ah the struggles… but anyways, good luck everyone and I hope you clutch those grades! Thank you for reading this newsletter and please support me and Amy as we struggle with graphic design! Also, look forward to my lovely co-media director Amy’s newsletter next month! Have a nice day!
