What is the weirdest thing about you? Are you proud of it? The weirdest thing about me is that I like to smell everyone that I meet. Whenever I meet someone new, I immediately smell them without them noticing. I like to judge them by how good they smell. I've learned that many people have different scents, such as wet socks or laundry and cologne mixed together. The weirdest scent I've detected is bĂĄnh mĂŹ and cheese mixed together. As you can tell, I don't talk to that person anymore. I am proud of my super secret techniques I use to smell people. I have many methods, but they are top secret.

Pumpkins in the Park (October 8, 2016)

This was an extremely memorable event because I got to meet lots of families at this fall festival. Our volunteers managed the different game booths spread out on the grass; I was in charge of Duck Pond, a game where children tried to match two ducks in color or number. The overall atmosphere was warm and friendly because everyone was enjoying their day. ~ Michelle Zhang (11)

Diwali Festival (October 8-9, 2016)

Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights that was celebrated at the Children's Discovery Museum. We helped children make crafts like the Diya lamp used during the Diwali celebration. We also helped pass out Indian desserts and ushered people into the theater to watch traditional dances and listen to traditional music. ~ Brandon Dimapasoc (12)

Day on the Bay (October 9, 2016) Day on the Bay was one of my first service events with Key Club, and I'm was really excited to be able to attend for the third year in a row. There's just something about the kids running around, beautiful scenery, and fall vibes that makes this event extra special! ~Megan Luong (11)

Walk to End Alzheimer’s (October 8, 2016)

Over the past 4 years of waking up super early for service events, Walk to End Alzheimer's has got to be the most memorable. Not only did communication between the event coordinator and our members run smoothly, but our members also strove to make the event the best that it could be. Even though the vast majority of us stood out in the blazing heat while the walkers were the course, we still brought that Key Club spirit to the event. Overall I am satisfied with what our members accomplished at that event and I definitely wouldn't mind next year's Walk to End Alzheimer's to contact us for next year's walk. ~ Vincent Mac (12)

Jingle Fest (November 20, 2016)

It was super fun and heart warming! I was in charge of the arts & crafts table and it made me so happy to see the kids express their creativity even if they didn’t know what they were doing. additionally, I was able to grow closer with the members since we were able to hang around before and after the event! ~ Sabrina Huynh (10)

Upcoming Turkey Trot (November 24, 2016)

Turkey Trot is one of Key Club’s largest service events of the year, where PHHS Key Clubbers, among so many hundreds of other volunteers from all over the Bay Area come together on Thanksgiving morning, We help with miscellaneous tasks, ultimately working to help the run as successful as possible! There’s just something about so many volunteers working so early in the morning, int the cold air, that makes us feel that much closer as a family. ~ Megan Luong (11)

Evan Sum (12)

I attended RTC last year, and this year was even better. Just like last year, I met tons of new people, made new friends, and learned more about Key Club then ever. However, this time, I was able to get very close to my roommates. Unlike last year, I was a lot more open and talkative. This allowed me to hang out with someone that wasn't part of Piedmont Hills Key Club and meet someone from Division 12 South. Because of RTC, I met someone new and ended up seeing them at many events outside of RTC, like Google Tech Day 2016. RTC introduced me to new faces and knowledge about Key Club. You should definitely attend next year because it can do the same for you.

Jeffrey Chang (12) This year's RTC was my second and last RTC and I can say without a doubt that it was just as great as the last one. Going again, I could notice all the small details I didn't get to before. This experience was exhilarating, interesting, eye-opening and I recommend it to all you Key Clubbers!

Sabrina Huynh (10)

RTC was a training conference of a life time! It had everything I could've ever wanted: fun and educational. I was able to meet new people and new techniques to apply in my daily life AND i was able to learn some thug dance moves

Tiffany Luna Garcia (10) RTC was almost like an introduction to Key Club for me considering how I haven’t been to any big events for our club. I got the chance to work with others that I had never even meet before and sadly only got to see them for less than a day. Going out of my comfort zone to meet so many new people from Division 12 south, to 43 was a mind blowing experience that taught me how contribute as much as I can to make a difference.

Fall Rally North Rose Phan (11) FRN was amazing! I finally got to ride Superman's Ultimate Flight! This was my first time going in all of my 3 years I've been at PHHS and I don't regret it. Singing along with everyone on the bus was extremely fun because everyone was so into it. Even though we didn't make it to the top three, I will most likely come back next year because it just means we'll be better than before!

Brandon Vu (10) My experience at FRN was beyond amazing. It was crazy, but in a good way! It was my first and even though we didn't take the W, i'd definitely go again. Being there with everyone felt like as if we were united as one family, working for one cause. So besides the scary humongous rides and me cheering on despite losing my voice half way in, my FRN experience was definitely one for the books.

Jason Vu (12) A cheering crowd shakes the stadium of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom as hundreds of Key clubbers shout their hearts out for the one and only spirit stick. Together, we form a sea of many different colors, united by two things--spirit and service. This is FRN, the culmination of half a year's worth of PTP fundraising and service to the community. Along with divisions from all over The CNH district, we spent our day celebrating our district's achievements and the mark we made together as one Ohana! It was a really fun and inspiring event, and looking back, I am reminded of why I'm proud to be a CNH Bee!

Shella Long (11) FRN 2016 was super LIT and I met a bunch of people from other divisions. Even if we went through a hard loss, the cheering never came to an end. Overall, I had a lot of fun dressing up in super cute clothes to greet others as a loud and proud superhero!!
