President's Note HEY HEY HEROES!!! So much has happened over the past few weeks! Other than the fact that we’ve been in school for 4 whole grueling months now, we have also elected our new freshmen representatives and media directors, we held our Grams Cafe and Pancakes fundraiser, we just recently gave out Christmas grams, and we had OTC in addition to all of our service events like the Second Harvest Food Bank Drive and the notes to the heroes of UC San Diego Health event! I’d like to thank all of those who have participated in these activities and have continued to help Key Club change the world little by little. Each hour served and dollar donated brings us one step closer to helping a child or a mother in need! Despite everything we’ve been through, time has really flown by and it’s now almost the end of the year with finals right around the corner. The week ahead is going to be one of the toughest ones of the month, but remember that you can do this! Study hard, ask your teachers questions, and make sure to eat and sleep well!! You may not get the grade you want and you may do poorly on your test, but keep in mind that this is only a small part of your high school career. There are so many other more important things to think about, and at the end of your senior year, the only thing you’ll really remember are the times you spent enjoying being a teenager without having to think about your college level classes or having the pressure of getting good grades. So, don’t spend your time regretting and wondering how you could have done better. You’ve done your best and that’s enough. :))
Serving with a smile,
Erin Takeshima

Member of the Month Jackie Wei always goes above and beyond with every event, in person and online, doing more than just 1 hour per event. For one event, he spent 7 hours making cards for isolated seniors. He was also eager to jump in to help with all of the jobs for the Lake Cunningham event. He has attended almost every event over the past month, which is incredible since finals are just around the corner, and for every event, he has been on time and serious about every task. We’re happy to see so much dedication, especially since he is still just a freshman! He sets an example for all members!
