Secretary

Hello Superheroes!! I hope everyone is having a wonderful November and is feeling thankful for everything around us! We finally have a few days off of school after such a long time without a break. Good job everyone and keep pushing through! This past month, we have been able to accomplish so much, and it is all thanks to you guys! We raised over $750 for ELIMINATE through Trick or Treat boxes and completed over 2500 hours of service in October for a total of 6454.5 service hours, $1211 for PTP, and $871.04 for ELIMINATE. We are holding our Erik’s Delicafe Fundraiser on Sunday, November 19, so stop by if you would like to help us raise funds! Even though we’re past October with Fall Rally North and Region Training Conference, that does not mean the fun is ending! This month, we have Turkey Trot coming up, which is always a favorite service event. Additionally, next month, December, holds some really fun Christmas-related events such as Breakfast with Santa and Santa Run! We also have many things planned for the upcoming months so keep an eye out for them ;) I hope everyone will be thankful this season and start getting into the Christmas spirit! Spooktacular

(event recap)

For the month of October, I attended Spooktacular! Spooktacular had 2 parts to it, the first part was where volunteers had to help set up the haunted house and the YMCA center for the following week's official event! I attended both shifts, where I was able to see all the hard work put into the event come to life. I worked in the haunted house which was extremely fun because I got to be able to scare a lot of adults as well as the kids. The haunted house was a huge maze where there were multiple volunteers hiding behind the walls, which was where I was also able to meet new people from other Key Club's from the different schools! This event meant a lot to me because this was the first time I had the experience of carrying out the duties of an officer at an event! I can only hope that November brings another fun-filled adventure my way.

from the

Media Director Hello Superheroes!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! As always, thank you so much for taking your time to read this newsletter. I apologize for such a late publication (college apps lol). October was a big month for us with Fall Rally North and Light the Night. We could not have had so much success without the work of each and every one of you. Our club was able to make it to the second rally at Fall Rally North and raise $1,200 for the Pediatric Trauma Program out of the $3,800 our division made. As the first half of the term is winding down, I hope that all of you will continue to serve our community and be thankful to all the opportunities we are given. Even though Thanksgiving is over, it’s always time to give thanks! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me through Facebook (Stephanie Zhu) or Email (stephaniez2000@gmail.com). Have a nice day! Stephanie Zhu PHHS Key Club Media Director 2017-2018
