6th Grade PMS Debate
ages 10–12 r$400 This after school academic program is designed to teach students successful communication, argumentation and self-advocacy. The class goal is to provide foundational tools to improve a student’s ability to engage in research, critical thinking and public speaking that will not only prepare them for future academic endeavors, but success in higher education and in their careers. The course will consist of lectures, drills and activities, group research, collaborative work and practice “mock” debates. By the end of the class, students are expected to be able to thoroughly research a variety of topics, prepare arguments in favor and in opposition of the topic, write working documents and organize materials, engage in oratorical advocacy and impromptu refutations. Students will be prepared to participate in the competitive 7th and 8th Grade PMS Debate team that competes in the East Bay Debate League.

Taekwondo
