veryone possesses freedom and enjoy the privilege of being free under the law and the eyes of God. Freedom in many things under many circumstances such as freedom of speech, freedom to defend yourself in court trials and any other form of freedom. Yet the greatest freedom that we are experiencing is freedom to choose a particular congregation of faith that will make your connection to the Almighty Creator possible. Religion is apparently one of the most important pieces that complete the society and sometimes said to be an important step to have a relationship with God and to attain real freedom from many things. If it is so, I just can't understand why I can feel and experience completely opposite thing from what they are saying? ''You are free to choose your own religion", yes, it is true, but you are not free to show your changes to the people around you, people who consider your shifts of beliefs, life do, dress far from their choice and believe for from their beliefs. Is religion really brings the problem? Or is alone really the problem? I say no!!! The reason why misunderstanding and gaps takes place between followers and members of a practical religion is the unprofitable, useless and ridiculous philosophy of those people who behave that only religion can says. That obviously brings to everyone too much devotion to their own religion that pushes them to be infallible especially when beliefs, bible and religion are the things to be discussed.
e r from the Editor As one of those thousands of people who seek and found a group of people that could help me build this faith I never had before, I encountered lots of things that made me question if the freedom really exists and if it is really intended to everyone including me? I received many comments (especially bad ones), criticism and the worst is persecution that made me feel awful for this persecution come from my close friend and family. Yet no matter what kind of discouragement I will experience and encounter, I guess it a part of the whole process and I will still and always believe that God directed me to this path of believing and idle talks behind my back will never stop me from standing with the decision that became the turning part of my life. Indeed religion is just a way that could lead us to stronger faith but relation and connection to Jesus Christ is far more important, as what bible says, "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without action is dead also". Games 2:26) as well as having religion yet growing spiritually never happens. It doesn't matter what denominations you belong, that matters most your personal connection to your savior that defines the true essence of freedom. If you did get me, Happy Independence Day!!!

Who's Good? Who's Evil?
by: Bryan J. Aced era
''P
eace is natural to man in the sense that peace is the natural blessing of the natural law embedded in man's nature and enshrined in man's conscience." Mikhail Gorbachev. As stated above, peace is enshrined in every man's heart, then why wars exist in every misunderstanding? Why some other people believed that war is the answer to have peace? Here in the Philippines, the idea of peace in every citizen still exists. This idea was manifested by the memorable events that occurred and shocked the world history. EDSA I and EDSA II were the famous events happened in the Philippine history and these signified the unity and the struggle for peace of the Filipino people. But even if these events happened, why war in the Philippines still exist until now? Rebels like New People's Army (NPA), Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and some other terrorists are presently around bringing terror to everyone but then they proclaim that they're just seeking for peace and justice. They believe that in order to gain peace and justice, they must use force. And to whom they should use force? This force is for the government, specifically to the officials. Government officials are those, they believed, the reason why poverty and injustices happen in our country. They use their position to have more wealth and become abusive. They only give promises but then nothing is happening. So, the rebels believe that these abusiveness could be stop only by punishing them on their own preferred way. On the other hand, the government is taking some actions to solve the supplications of the people from the government. They are also trying their best to bring back the harmony between them and the people, to make peace with the rebels. They tried to communicate with the rebels to stop the nonsense battles. But the rebels are always refusing in having a cease fire agreement and tend to attack them so the government don't have a choice but to fight back. If this continues, battles will not end and more innocent blood will shed. It is really confusing who did the right thing and who did the wrong one.
We believe that on both sides, mistakes are present. The rebels tried to put justice to their hands and have created a law of their own while the government made promises that until now were not fulfilled and still corrupt politicians remain abusive of their power. We say that if this mistakes and misunderstandings will never be recognize by both sides, war will prevail and doom will dominate from peace. If they (the both sides) really think of having harmony to each other, they should amend what is wrong on their views. Maybe the key to have peace is to understand each other and think thoroughly and ethically in making decision. Through this, maybe, just maybe, peace may be founded and unity among the citizen will forever be realized.

ebruary 06, 2014 the ROTC team conducted their Regional Annual Administration Performance Education (RAAPE) at Cataingan National High School (CNHS) Campus Ground. The event was composed of 10 persons together with the CMC President Mr. Lapu-Lapu F. Listones and Vice Mayor George Gonzales Jr. and the CMC Asst. Commandant of ROTC unit, who was in charge for map reading, TSG Raagas. According to my source, map reading was difficult that even the participants find hard time in conducting such activity in the field. In the previous RAAPE event held last year, the CMC ROTC unit got a score of only 86.8 but this year's event; CMC ROTC unit got a score of 92.6. Despite of the fact that their office got ruin by the typhoon Yolanda last November 08, 2013 they still manage to practice well and achieve what they are aiming for. W hat they have got in this year's event was a great honor to our school. During the event, some of the participants or cadets got collapsed but they manage everything well. Some say that when marching in the field began, the cadets were not well synchronized but they just did their best and the judges saw it. After all, they have achieved the highest score in the CMC ROTC history.

Moral Recovery Program by: Esther L. Sampaga Only deserve to live those willing to die for a noble task" II
-Moral Recovery Team-
T
he Values Formation and Spiritual Transformation Council visited Cataingan Municipal College last February 10, 2014 and held a symposium and a short lecture about the effects of common vices in our society such as smoking cigarettes, drinking liquors and abusing illegal drugs. The Moral Recovery Program which being mandated by our government under Presidential Proclamation # 64 and # 282 and Executive Order # 319 and # 34 7 which started on the year 1992. This government program aims to "Transform the image of every Filipino and to bring every Filipino to a God-centered life". (MAKA-DIYOS, MAKA-BAYAN, MAI<A-TAO at MAI<A-I<ALII<ASAN). Mabate is the sixth province that this program mashed and Cataingan Municipal College is the third to the last school that they visited. Unlike any other symposium that was held in Cataingan Astrodome, it is one of the most memorable, for it does not simply offers information, awareness and mere lecture t those who attended it but also offers a simple way to build a strong relationship of every individual to the Almighty Creator and Ever Powerful Father in heaven. It is said to be the first ever dramatic lecture that did happen for almost 90% who attended it, students and instructors leave the dome with a guilt-free heart and teary eyes. Only four of the actual team members visited the municipality of Cataingan, they are Marlon Y Goltiano (Architect and team leader), Darren Angelo M. Ladao (Theologist), Rey Romel R. Torre (Theologist and Computer Engineer), Renz Mark A. Marquez (Theologist), and Imark Suficiencia (Local Lecturer) . W hen asked about the possibility of their next visitation, here's what Mr. Ladao said, "Yup, there is, but maybe after we finish the whole country. We don't know exactly when and who will be coming back but hopefully we (the same group) if still possible will return". This program is intended to lessen and even end the worsening problem and issued of crime, vices and immorality that is very rampant to our society, but even how effective their program is, if people committing this practices, never decides to end their wickedness, the wonderful aims, hard works and sacrifices of these people will be just put to waste.

GIVE up OR FIGHT by: Rene Labores
W
hen you seem to lose something you value the most, what will you do Will you still fight for it or just gonna let it go? In my case, I find very hard to decide to about, for it is undeniably true that in some times of our lives we found something that will eventually turns to be our everything. Something that we will treasure, we will give special care, we will give much priority and even enables us to give up everything we have just to pressure this something that suddenly became our "only everything." In the world, having something or someone is not that easy. There would be lots of happenings and circumstances that could be the reason for it to fade away and flee far from your reach. We cannot deny and set aside the past that even in a single blink of an eye, everything can possibly change as what once said, "the only permanent thing in this world is changes" and your greatest rival concerning this things, is time. We can never assure that the things and people that we already have will remain ours forever, maybe tomorrow or the day after next, someone might have them and take them away from us. But that's not the worst part, because it is even harder and more painful to bear if the one you are fighting for and dying to bear, if the one are you fighting for and dying to preserve, voluntarily leave you at dusk. It is awful and you will feel lost like a lost boy in the middle of a dessert. How can you fight for someone if that someone already pushes you away, how can you fight for someone if you find yourself coward to do it like a turtle that hinders you and finally, how can you find that his/her choice is deserving more than you do. That is how complicated life is, what we have others will take and what we take, others will have FIGHT OR GIVE UP? Fight, for us to have again what once become ours Give up, for us to not feel the pain that squeezed our heart for the second time around. Indeed, fate has its wonderful ways of putting things together and a cruel way of separating them apart. But the main point is "trying to fight even if there's no more point in fighting is sweater than giving up without even trying" Life is unfair, Things and people come and go but guess what, everybody is experiencing it, it is up to you to handle Charges and dealing with it with night perception, emotion

nyeong Kaseo, Saranghea, Kansamhamida, Princess Hours, Legend of Kang Chi, Tale of Arang, Pong Yi and Queen Seon Deok among others. Sounds familiar? Of course they do, those first three words, those are the words, those are the words you alwaysutter when you're on the verge of mania, the most common spoken words of its genre, the first three that you'll learn right away, and the rest? watched restlessly over and over again, swoon to their cute male heartthrobs and idolized the female one. We happen to remember every title of their show more than we remember our holidays. One thing in common of those words and titles? Those are all "Koreans" and most Korean item? Rocks! Hallyu or Korean ware is sweeping all over the globe. Establishing fan base in South America, performing in foreign soil, influencing the industry in both fashion and music. Korean government despite its security turmoil with the constant threat of neighboring country north Korea, able to spread the culture through its artists by promoting its entertainment industry with undying vigor. In return, artists contribute to the process by attracting tourist to this ancient, historical and magical story of the past. A booming economy of Korea is the joint force of its people, government and entertainers. With this harmonious collaboration, South Korea another half of the tiny peninsula, able to come up with a strong stand. Multi-colored tight pants, funky side-swept or erected hair, dangling colored accessories, posh, stylish and rocking outfit and even men wearing eyeliner, a lot of thanks to Korean influence. W hy we always copy then? Imitate their expression? Because that is trends. Even in our own campus, we usually see them Girls sharing giggles with theirs friends, talking about cute me and fashionable women. Exchanging Korean videos and pictures and stored them at our phone. Nomatter how difficult their names to pronounce and remember, with songs without understanding what does it mean. Others even Korea had a K-POP, Philippines also come up with we are the one imitating them. Shinhwa, Super Junior and Shinee are the front runners in male group category of Koreanmusic and even fellow male adore them. We dance with their rhythm and theirs songs. As long as we accommodate their influence their presence in our society, Korean waves will still brush our Philippine shores and the moment we get our feet wet we are mesmerized and we don't want to do anything but swim.

Survival or Enjoyme by: jinky R. Libot L
ife in college is a combination of stress and pressure, frustrations and
depression and worries and anxieties. Run fast for you to reach the finish line first. (That's what others says.) And If I find this, one of the most ridiculous philosophy that I've ever encounter, and surely, the author of the same article that saying things like this. Did not enjoy college life at all! Few months ago, I considered my college experiences as crime for I did many things take the risk to do, yet words from my respective instructor changed my whole perspective when she shared her own experiences that I find almost similar with mine. And after some time of wondering, I've realized that I'm blessed not just because that to worst "college life" definition never into my mind, also because God allowed me to experience these things for me to discern right and wrong and to let me experienced the wrong, fir me to rather choose right for I already knew the and consequences of being wrong. And now, after those self-evaluation process, I can proudly say that I enjoyed college life because I experienced the ups and downs and do's and don'ts of both student's and boarder's life. I experienced those lazy students love to do and those things that diligent students usually did I experienced taking the major exams with confidence that I can perfect it for I studied until the cock crows, on the other hand, I also experienced taking exams without even bothering myself to simply scan my notes(If these is any). I know the feeling to achieve more and how it feels to achieve to achieve less and even none. I've tried to hear compliments from my instructors in reporting, and I also tried to be criticized in the front of the class. I experienced to be crowned as Ms. Tardy of the year but I also tried to enter the gate of CMC first (expect the guard and the working students). I became a member of liquor drinkers association and attending drinking sessions every night in any place we love to. During my first year college days, I started taking absences aside from the reason that I simply don't want to go to school but also because of attending fiestas, birthdays and even a set outings without reasons. I've tried the busy night life, going out late to jam with my barkada's and even tried

cupid's arrow but if it so, I think this cute guy little guy is a bit unfair because he didn't even bother himself to shoot me his lovely magical pink arrow or even shoot the heart of the person that is willing to let me experience the magic of this date. Sometimes I'm wondering if I can ask a single favor from this flying archer and it if it take away this heavy bullet proof around me before shooting me so that I could also experience even just once the excited feeling when this day is approaching. But as I'm thinking about these things while washing the dishes, the simple fact hit and slapped me in both cheeks and said, "wake up and don't live within your fantasy" and realized that cupid isn't real if you think that I can say it because I'm bitter, no, I'm not, I said it because it's the reality, we fall in love because it's our nature and God design us feel it and not because we were being hit by the directionless pointed stick by this Mr. sCUPIDOo. . . ! In reality, February 14 is not really a special day, it's like some ordinary day that God created and the reason why it because more special than usual, it's the love that we can feel to our loved that God can only give, not cupid, and everyone can celebrate this not only the lovers but also those singles, loveless, broken hearted, best friends and even with your mom and dad. Even who you are as long as you know how to love and willing to give love, you can enjoy this Valentine's Day. . Happy Valentine's Day Everyone!!

n so far as man is an animal, he lives by struggles, he lives at the expense of others when he fears and hates life then is war; Many of us say's that . . . .. PEACE is much harder to define. PEACE is neither an original paradisiacal state nor a form of co-existence by mutual consent. PEACE is something we can only sense and search for true peace is more difficult and unusual than any other achievement even for two persons who lived together and need each other. For thousands of years we have kwon the Might and fundamental maxim: "THOU SHALT TO KILL ". Yet we have created a science and technology that the last war set in motion such a gasses mechanism of horror that future generation would be frightened of ever making war again. But opinion is absolute Fear teaches men nothing. If men enjoy killing no memory of war will deter them- Nor will the knowledge of the material knowledge wrought by war. That's why most of all believe that world peace cannot be brought about any preaching, organization and propaganda. Just as a philosopher's stone it's just like an imaginary stone or substance supposed to change base metal to gold cannot be invented by a congress of chemist. What then can give rise to a true spirit of peace on earth? Not commandment and not practical experience. Like a human progress, the Love of peace must come from knowledge which may be seen and formulated in a thousand different ways. But it is embodying one truth: THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE LIVING SUBSTANCE IN EACH OF US, IS THE SECRET OF MAGIC, AND THE SECRET OF THE GOBLINESS, that each of us bears within him. Where that supreme knowledge is present, a threshold is crossed beyond which to miracles begin. Then war and enmity cease. An enemy becomes a brother; death becomes birth; disgrace; honor; and good fortunes. What I am saying is self-evident but just as every soldier shot to
C
haos and conflicts are just some of those disturbing issued around us that creates misunderstandings and gaps that destroys and breaks the fragile glass that protects peace and unity. It is hard to think that all these things are happening in our beloved nation but isn't it even harder if these conflicts and chaos do exist in our very own campus? As one of those open-minded students who also open their eyes widely, I also have some comments about the worsening gap between the students and the existing organization in our school particularly the CBSG which is being stoned by spicy and unbearable words from complainers' mouths about its back jobs and unfulfilled promises during election campaigns. Lots of observer students still complaining about unflxed facilities, countered projects and unnoticeable development that did dismayed them and made them think that the people who they entrusted with their precious votes are unworthy to be put in their respective positions. I hope it didn't signify that we didn't vote wisely. "More projects are coming up; just give us time to prove to everyone that we are doing our best (things) that we can do", a good quoted statement from a member that receives both positive and negative comments from the students and even instructors. Positive, because flnally we will still expect projects from this present governance and negative, because we are already doubting because we heard these words before. The word judgmental always flashes back in my mind every time I hear even a single complain from a student who are aiming for improvements but can we consider it to be a judgmental if even you and me knows that there is point of saying it because it is very apparent and you don't need to be a keen observer just to notice it? But despite of all these intrigues, some questions for the students reign into my mind. Are all these responsibilities just vested to CBSG president and members alone? Are we responsible enough to throw even a single word that points their irresponsibleness? Can we even do simple and small things to maintain the order and cleanliness of our rooms and facilities? The real issue here is not the promises that being overshadowed by some untraced problems on the part of the organization but the real problem here is the unwillingness of the students to coordinate and participate to even smallest thing that we can help. We are too active to criticize their governance and can easily say that they are doing nothing? How about you? Did you even bother yourself maintaining the cleanliness of the Comfort Room after using it, or even bothering yourself to pick up the sheets of papers in the classroom? So instead of complaining for those forgotten huge projects, start correcting yourself by doing small things that could flx many things. Don't just open your mouth widely yet keep your feet and hand tied from the chain of irresponsibleness and idleness. Instead of saying nonsense things, just keep your mouth shut and learn to wait, because I do believe that it's not yet their best, there are still lots of thing they can do just to gain again the respect and trust of their fellow students and still looking forward for it.

That is what I feel
I cross that road for you
This feeling over here
I hope someday you'll bear
You are the one, you're the only
Cannot cry and don't have fear.
