ในเขตเทศบาล อายุราว 50 ถึงร้อยกว่าปี ที่มีขนาดสัดส่วนสัมพันธ์กันกับถนน จำ�นวนมากกว่าร้อยห้อง โดยเฉพาะ
เรือนไม้โค้งแถวคู่บริเวณสามแยกด้านในตลาด มีลักษณะเฉพาะตัวไม่เหมือนที่อื่นและมีสภาพสมบูรณ์ สมควรอนุรักษ์เป็นมรดกของ เมืองหล่มให้ลูกหลานได้ชื่นชมต่อไป Ancient two-story wooden houses in the municipality are fifty to more hundreds years which have the match proportion related to the road. There are more than 100 rooms particularly double row of curve wooden houses on the junction road in the market area. The wooden houses have the unique characteristics which are different from other places, and the whole structures are in perfect condition. Thereby, they should be preserved as a cultural heritage of “ Muang Lom ” for descendants.
2.ความงดงามของชุมชนและหมู่บ้านพื้นถิ่นไทหล่ม The Aesthetics of Communities ที่ยังมีโครงสร้างชุมชนแบบดั้งเดิม มีวัดเป็นศูนย์กลาง มีพื้นที่ทำ�การเกษตรอยู่ใกล้ๆ มีองค์ประกอบและรูป
แบบสถาปัตยกรรมที่สวยงาม เรียบง่ายตามภูมิปัญญาบรรพบุรุษตกทอดที่อพยพมาจากหลวงพระบาง โดยในเขตเทศบาลมีชุมชน ลักษณะเดียวกันนี้ถึง 4 แห่ง คือ 1.ชุมชนวัดตาล 2.ชุมชนวัดศรีสุมังค์ 3.ชุมชนบ้านพรวน 4.ชุมชนวังเวิน หากสามารถส่ ง เสริ ม ให้ ค งสภาพและผลั ก ดั น ให้ เ ป็ น แหล่ ง เรี ย นรู้ ท างภู มิ ปั ญ ญาจะเป็ น ตั ว อย่ า งหมู่ บ้ า นที่ ค ง เอกลักษณ์ชาวไทหล่มลูกผสมไทย-ลาวได้เป็นอย่างดี Thai-Lom Vernacular Village still have the traditional structure of communities as can be seen in the past that the temple was the main center and the agricultural area was nearby to the communities. Wooden houses contain simple beautiful architectural elements of intellectual knowledge following ancestors who immigrated from Luang Prabang. In the municipal area have the same characteristics of 4 communities as follows : 1. Wat Tarn Community 2. Wat Srisumang Community 3. Ban Pruan Community 4. Wang Wern Community If we can maintain wooden houses to remain in a good condition and also can be the intellectual knowledge for studying , this would be an example of a village that still preserve the identities of Thai-Lom people who are half Thai and Laotian.

หล่มเก่าเป็นเมืองเล็กที่สงบเงียบ เนื่องจากซ่อนตัวอยู่ในภูมิประเทศที่เป็นเนินเขาโอบล้อม 3 ด้าน ดังนั้นโดย ธรรมชาติชาวบ้านจะไม่ค่อยเข้าสังคมกับภายนอกจนเอิกเกริกนัก ความเป็นอยู่เรียบง่าย มีอาชีพไม่กี่ประเภท มีย่านการค้าขาย สนองตอบแค่เพียงพอกับชุมชนพอประมาณเท่านั้น สภาพเมืองในเขตเทศบาลจะสงบเงียบตั้งแต่ 1 ทุ่มขึ้นไป ร้านค้าพาณิชย์(เรือน แถวไม้โบราณ)จะปิดเงียบ คนหล่มเก่าไม่นิยมอบายมุข ไม่มีสถานบันเทิงในเขตเมืองเจียมตัว และมีความเมตตาเอื้อเฟื้อ มีน้ำ�ใสใจ จริงอัธยาศัยไมตรีดีต่อแขกผู้มาเยือนอย่างยิ่ง ถือได้ว่าเป็นเมือสีขาวที่แสนสงบเสงี่ยมแห่งหนึ่ง ถูกรบกวนจากสิ่งเร้าภายนอกน้อย มากหากเปรียบดั่งผ้าก็สามารถพูดได้ว่าเป็นผ้าสีขาวบริสุทธิ์ที่ยังไม่มีสิ่งแปดเปื้อนใดใดเลย Lom-Kao is a small peaceful town owing to its hidden in the geography which is surrounded by 3 sides of hills. Therefore, by naturally, the local people will not much get involve with outside people. Easy lifestyle with few works and having the modest enough commercial areas, the town condition of the municipality is calm since 7 pm in the evening. Commercial stores ( Two-story old wooden houses ) will be closed. Lom-Gao people do not like vices. There is no entertainment venue. People here are greatly sincere and amicable for visiting guests. This is considerable to be the serenely pure white town.
