SUNSET LUAU The Sunset Luau features a backdrop of shimmering waters, swaying palms and an unobstructed view of Captiva’s renowned sunsets. This is the ideal setting for a relaxed barbecue followed by S’mores at the fire pit, or a down to earth yet elegant reception. The Sunset Luau is also ideal for farewell brunches, rehearsal dinners and welcome parties. Comfortably accommodates up to 150 guests.

THE QUARTERDECK AT YACHT HARBOUR MARINA Picture the twinkling lights of the Yacht Harbour Marina coming up over the sunset’s reflection from the Gulf of Mexico. The Yacht Harbour Marina boasts luxury vessels of up to 120 feet, offering quite a unique wedding reception view from this location. The Marina location can accommodate outdoor festivities on the paved quarterdeck, perfect for cocktail receptions, farewell brunches, and rehearsal dinners. Marina Walk is nestled in between the Harbour and the Harbourside Hotel accommodations, creating a convenient walk “home” for guests. Comfortably accommodates up to 60 guests.

OVERLOOK DECK Existing above the Royal palms surrounding the resort’s infinity pools, the Overlook Deck is perched for a flawless view of Pine Island Sound and 360 degree views of lush foliage in every direction. Privacy is yours within this space above The Pointe Restaurant for a stunning evening event as the lights come up over the resort and boats float by the Sound. Guests’ enjoy a bird’s eye view of the resort pools and fishing pier as dolphins swim in the Pine Island Sound. The Overlook Deck is also ideal for farewell brunches, rehearsal dinners and welcome parties. Comfortably accommodates up to 40 guests.

CAPTIVA BALLROOM Simply classic. The ballroom welcomes you into a grand atmosphere with its spacious foyer, perfect for your cocktail hour. Guests easily flow into an elegant dinner reception and dance all evening. With the perfect Old Florida feel, this ballroom is a highly flexible reception venue intentionally modeled to accommodate any design needed to ensure your wedding party is unforgettable. Comfortably accommodates up to 250 guests.

SEA PEARL BALLROOM The charming Sea Pearl Ballroom offers both intimacy and privacy as you dance the night away. Featuring a neutral palette, this room can easily be transformed into your ideal wedding vision. Comfortably accommodates up to 150 guests.

Frequently Asked Questions IS MY $5,000 DEPOSIT AN ADDITIONAL FEE? No, your deposit is credited towards your total wedding bill. It is not an additional fee. DOES THE WEDDING PACKAGE INCLUDE OTHER VENDORS LIKE FLOWERS, PHOTOGRAPHER AND OFFICIANT? With a signed contract, we will provide you with our Preferred Vendors List and help you establish the best fit for your needs. However, these are separate costs that will be determined between you and the vendors you select. WHAT TIME DOES MY RECEPTION HAVE TO END? Your wedding package includes up to 5-hours of ceremony and reception event time. We want to ensure you and your family have enough time to include all the traditions that are an important element of your celebrations. We can certainly extend beyond the standard time, and should you wish to do so, fees may apply.

OUTDOOR FUNCTIONS: Captiva Island has a noise ordinance that prohibits any outdoor entertaining after 10:00pm. To keep the celebrations going, we can offer an indoor location until 2:00am. DO YOU PROVIDE A BACKUP LOCATION IN CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER? For any scheduled outdoor event the resort will provide you with an indoor location of our choosing, and is included within the site fee. The indoor space booked is determined based on the needs of your wedding. The decision to move an event indoors due to inclement weather will be made mutually with the Bride/Groom, Catering Manager and Banquet Manager. DO YOU ALLOW OUTSIDE CATERING? All food and beverage must be purchased from, prepared and served by South Seas Island Resort. We allow outside catering for the wedding cakes and groom’s cakes only.

WILL THE CUTTING AND SERVING OF THE CAKE BE ADDITIONAL? We include the cake cutting service within our wedding package.

WHERE DOES THE BRIDAL PARTY GET READY BEFORE THE WEDDING? South Seas provides a bridal suite for the day of your wedding.

DO YOU OFFER A MENU TASTING? Yes, once the contract is signed we can schedule a complimentary menu tasting, typically 3 months prior to your wedding date. Please speak with your Catering Manager to make the necessary arrangements.

DO YOU PREPARE CHILDREN’S AND VENDORS MENUS? Children’s menus are customized to the needs of your event and generally start at $35.00 ++ per child (ages 5 through 12). Vendors’ meals can be arranged through your Catering Manager and should be confirmed 5 days in advance. Vendor meals are the Chef’s choice of a hot meal and are charged at $35.00 ++ per person.

WHEN DO I HAVE TO MAKE A FINAL DECISION ON MY MENU SELECTION? Complete menus for all your events should be submitted to your Catering Manager at least thirty (30) days prior to your wedding. WHEN DO I HAVE TO LET THE RESORT KNOW EXACTLY HOW MANY GUESTS WILL BE ATTENDING MY EVENT? Your final guarantee of attendance is required for your events 72 hours prior to your wedding date. HOW MANY GUESTS ARE SEATED AT EACH TABLE? We use 66” and 72” rounds for our banquet functions. Our tables seat between 8-12 people. For a plated dinner or family style dinner we recommend seating 8 guests per table for the best fit. For a buffet dinner or reception style dinner we can accommodate up to 12 guests per table.

HOW MUCH SET-UP TIME DO OUR VENDORS HAVE? Three hours of set-up time in your designated venue is provided on a complimentary basis. Additional set-up time or an extension of your reception time is subject to availability and additional facility fees and/or staff overtime service fees may apply. If your venue is still available for earlier set-up time a week prior to your wedding date we would be pleased to offer this time on a complimentary basis.
