When I was very little, I fell in love with a cast album called PIPPIN. I listened to it day and night, not ever seeing the actual show.

When I was in high school, I had the pleasure of playing “Bert.” That’s not a misprint. I was Bert, Pippin’s grandfather. It was an absolute blast, especially singing the number “No Time at All.” The number has such a universal message that I gravitated to immediately.

I followed the show’s journey through it’s 2013 Broadway Revival, and to this day, it is one of my favorite shows.

It is such a pleasure to now pass on my love for this piece with a new generation. Its songs and themes about light and dark inspire me and give me joy. How do I feel now? Fulfilled.

“Oh, it’s time to start livin’! Time to take a little from the world we’re given! Time to take time, for spring will turn to fall, in just no time at all!”

Enjoy!
