Cast DIRECTOR’S NOTE

From 18th century France, by way of 20th century Disney, comes a tale as old as time, Beauty and the Beast JR., presented by the Young Artists of the PMT Conservatory. Today you will have the delight of experiencing this beloved classic through the eyes of these young artists. They have transformed this popular fairytale musical into their own story, jumping head first into this fantastical world.

At the heart of it, this story is about finding self love and acceptance and in return opening up to receiving and accepting the love of another. Belle and Beast are both loners—

one has her head stuck in a book and the other is stuck on their past. When they cross paths, their lives and the lives of those around them, are forever changed. Belle and Beast show us that we are all not as alone as we may think.

On top of that, this show has everything including gargoyles, singing cups, crazed villains, goofy townsfolk, dancing napkins, a genius, magic spells, daring fights, and a prince in disguise.

We hope you enjoy the show!

Enjoy the show!

YOUNG ARTIST PRODUCTION

What is a Young Artist Production?

The foundation of PMT’s mission is built on arts education, development, mentorship, and providing performance opportunities for young artists. Students at PMT Conservatory receive a truly unique experience to use their training in fully produced productions of their own in which they take on roles as performers and technical theater crew.

Whether a student wishes to pursue a career in the arts or another field, Young Artist Productions provide an opportunity for growth and building transferable life skills in our future leaders. Patrons attending Young Artist Productions will be a part of it all as they experience and enjoy the best of our region’s talented youth in professional-quality entertainment!
