eLeCtION 2012
Equal Magazine, published by the Delta Foundation of Pittsburgh, is a new monthly publication for the Pittsburgh LGBT community and its allies. With over five years of experience publishing the Pride Mag, the official publication of Pittsburgh Pride, we kept hearing from the community that they were interested in seeing a similar type of magazine on a more regular basis and that’s how Equal Magazine was born!

Starting in November 2012, Equal will be helmed by the same team of seasoned writers, photographers, and designers. This full color glossy magazine will deliver news, politics, entertainment, health, fitness, and travel features with a unique Pittsburgh twist and in an objective, entertaining and socially responsible format.
The LGBT Market MarketResearach.com in partnership with Witeck-Combs Communications estimates the US-based buying power of gay men and lesbians will exceed $2 trillion in 2012 and projects the community now includes 16.3 million individuals. According to Greenfield Online, four out of ten (40%) gays agree that ads influence their purchasing decisions for one product or service over another, and eight out of ten (80%) prefer to buy from companies that advertise directly to them.

Our Readership...Affluent, Educated & Loyal! Unlike any other LBGT publication in the region, Equal Magazine will guarantee to publish and distribute a minimum of 10,000 copies which will include 5,000 copies mailed to an exclusive list of LGBT movers and shakers. Additional copies will be distributed at LBGT friendly bars, restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, and theater lobbies in the Western Pennsylvania area.
