THE CAPTAIN JOSH FALKINGHAM
WE COME INTO TODAY’S GAME with Bradford City on the back of a really spirited fight back against Leyton Orient on Tuesday night. It’s been tough recently and again we found ourselves not once, but twice behind. Leyton Orient are a good side and we’ve had difficult games against them in the past so we were really happy with the night’s work and it felt like we finished stronger than them and were the team that were most likely to win it. It was pleasing that we didn’t let our heads drop and that we kept going after going behind for the second time particularly. When you go 2-1 up, it’s much easier to manage rather than fighting to get back into the contest, and coming back after falling behind is something that we’ve found difficult to do but it’s part and parcel of the level that we’re at now - it’s not going to be easy. In terms of mentality, it’s a huge boost for us to take this result into the final few games and for our trip to Wembley. It’s especially important to take confidence into the Yorkshire derby on Saturday. Bradford are a massive club and we’re really looking forward to that game. A change of manager has seen them do really well and they brought in top quality signings in January. The kick-off has of course been brought forward and that can always add a little extra to it. We’ll be right up for it and looking forward to hopefully doing the double over our closest rivals. It’s a big game for the fans and a win would again show how far we’ve come as a club.
