MANAGING DIRECTOR GARRY PLANT
ONE OF MY FIRST TOWN MATCHES was against Bradford Park Avenue which took me back to my childhood listening to my dad and grandad talking about the rivalry between City and Park Avenue. My first match at Valley Parade was in March 1976 against Southampton in the FA Cup quarter final, the ground was packed and the atmosphere was absolutely electric. I never imagined we would be welcoming the Bantams to The EnviroVent Stadium, perhaps we are all still pinching ourselves at being in the EFL and without doubt everyone is working hard on and off the pitch to ensure the club continues travelling forward. On 3 May we return to Wembley for The Trophy Final and whilst it will be behind closed doors, our Hospitality Team are working hard on events to allow supporters the chance to watch the match, in their permitted bubble and to celebrate the day with a drink. We have to meet all the demands of Public Health England as well the Harrogate Safety Advisory Group. The most important responsibility we have is to make sure everyone is safe. We will keep you posted on the progress we make and at the same time please rest assured that we are working closely with the EFL on a return to crowds for the 2021/22 campaign.
