Exterior brick replaced with Hardi plank siding, new front doors and new shingle roofing installed.

Also included were installa ons of a new transformer and emergency generator, custom windows including bullet resistant, spray foam exterior insula on, ADA compliant sidewalks and entrances, epoxy flooring, new landscaping and site retaining walls.

The project consisted of the installation of replacement windows, HVAC and electrical system for the 8-story, 115,500 SF high rise dormitory. It was phased over two summers.

Installation of a new two-pipe HVAC fan coil unit system, as well as complete gut of the mechanical room, including removal of existing convector heating system and reconfiguration of the room layout and equipment.

Renovation of the main lobby to include finishes, ceiling tiles and lighting, corridor/stairwell/ vestibule doors, and replacement of the existing service desk and student mailbox units.

23,000 SF renovation including upgrades to the HVAC system, new CCMS building controls tied into BAS system for building energy management, upgrades to lighting and electrical service, and a new sprinkler system.

The ground floor slab on grade was lowered 8” requiring underpinning of 80% of the exterior foundations. Mechanical room was expanded below portions of the 1st floor slab on grade, an existing pit was infilled with steel and slab on deck to make the 1st floor slab one elevation.

New windows and doors, modifications to the limestone façade to widen a ground floor entrance, and architectural retaining walls were added.

The CSU Library HVAC project was a phased renovation of an occupied 81,000 SF library facility.

The project involved major mechanical and electrical infrastructure upgrades that included a new roof top packaged unit, new air handling units in the basement, connections to the campus chilled and hot water heating loops, DDC controls, and sprinkler system.

This project was procured through the state Universities system and all state requirements such as prevailing wage rates, MBE goals and other protocols were met by the P-C team.

CM at Risk, occupied, phased interior and exterior renovation of a 4-story building built in 1897. Work to the building included a complete roof replacement, window restoration, and new storefront at the back entrance and in the courtyard. A ground level courtyard sandwiched between the building and an adjacent building was excavated to below the foundation, requiring underpinning to the building’s foundation and a new granite-clad architectural retaining wall in the courtyard. All new HVAC systems were installed, new art lighting, new architectural finishes, and new millwork including a custom reception desk and bookcases throughout.

A detailed site u liza on plan was developed in conjunc on with affected University departments to minimize the impacts to the func ons of the occupied campus se ng. The Dining Hall remained open for service during the renova on.

The project consisted of replacing the exis ng HVAC system on the classroom wing with a VRV system throughout the facility and state of the art Wa Stopper ligh ng system.

Renewal of the main lobby included new finishes and ceiling le, and lights.

The project included an HVAC upgrade, fire protec on and alarm system installa on. The project also included the installa on of steel pla orms to support four new roof top units and interior finishes including doors, frames, paint, and millwork.

New controls and communica on cabling was installed throughout dorm. Snow guards installed on the exterior and new acous cal ceilings throughout.

UMBC–Chesapeake Hall

The Chesapeake Hall renovation project involved the replacement of the HVAC system of an existing dormitory and the related architectural elements

All work was completed during the summer break with a six day week, ten hour day work schedule

Plano-Coudon provided preconstruction services including budgeting, scheduling and evaluating the constructability of the project design

UMCP—LPS Low Vibration Lab Addition

The site access was extremely ght and P‐C worked with the Owner and facili es manager to minimize disrup ons to the building’s occupants.

Also provided new linoleum floors with custom patterns, paint, lighting, doors, frames and hardware, custom aluminum storefront entrance, HVAC, fore protection, fore alarm, drywall and ACT. Power, data/voice and audio visual cabling and terminations were provided.

Asbestos abatement and demolition activities were performed prior to the start of construction.
