Bridge Academy Education Centre is a government approved educational institute in Hong Kong. It provides comprehensive early intervention and academic programmes for children with learning difficulties aged 2 and above. The Gospel of Christ lays the foundation of our school. Curriculum: Mainly unit-based teaching, learning in groups and individual teaching, process teaching methods and professional rehabilitation training, so that students can learn in addition to basic subject knowledge, and can also combine various functional learning, applied to the actual Life needs. The basic learning phases are divided into three learning sections: Phase 1 & 2, Phase 3 and Phase 4. Low Vision Training and Directional Walking Training are also available.
Facilities: The school building has four floors which can be accessed by stairs or a lift. The basic facilities include natural light sky auditorium, canteen, snack kiosk, classrooms with toilets and bathrooms, computer room, technology and living room, music room, counselling room, care rooms, libraries, activity rooms, conference rooms and wellequipped dorms.
Features: In response to the needs of visually impaired students, the school has specially designed guiding paths, handrails along the walls, plastic bumps, point numbers, touch signs, orientation marks, electronic sound generators, crash pads, etc. to facilitate students’ freedom in school. There is also a Speech Therapy Department and an Occupational Therapy Department.
School Bus: Yes, every day school buses transfer students on Hong Kong Island to school. There is a fixed rehab line, picking up students who live in remote areas every day. Every Friday or the first day before the holiday, there is a tourist bus and a school bus to send boarding student’s home. Every week on the first morning after the holidays, there are school buses to pick up the wheelchair students who are further away from home to return to school. The school bus has lift tables to facilitate wheelchair students to get on and off. Regular school bus meetings are held to enhance school bus services to meet student.

ESF Jockey Club Sarah Roe School (JCSRS) supports students with a wide range of needs including moderate and severe or complex learning disabilities and students with autism. The age range is from 5 to 19 years. The school strives to empower children and young people to maximise their potential and where appropriate, make their transition into mainstream education through collaborative inclusion programmes. Teachers are highly qualified and experienced. Every child has an Individual Educational Plan which includes literacy, numeracy, communication, personal and social education, and behaviour targets to which the school’s multidisciplinary team of therapists contribute as required.
Curriculum: Teachers and therapists have collaboratively developed the JCSRS curriculum framework that aligns with the ESF PYP curriculum and the Essential Elements Framework. We also stay up to date by researching leading practices in special education from across the world. We cover three units of work per year as well as modules of work from the ASDAN ‘Towards Independence’ programme.
Facilities: The school has a range of excellent facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, specially designed changing and toileting areas, a sensory integration room, a multi-sensory room, Independent Living Skills provision, Expressive Arts Zone, medical and therapy rooms.

The Child Development Centre (CDC) provides early intervention services to children with a wide spectrum of additional educational and/ or developmental needs. Our professional team offers group programmes and individual therapy sessions. At The Children’s Institute of Hong Kong (TCI) we provide diverse learners with a comprehensive Applied Behavior Analytic (ABA) approach to education. In our interdisciplinary school model, learners receive special instruction ABA interventions in combination with individualized therapeutic services. ABA provides us with an assessment of socially significant behaviors and skill deficits, learner driven motivational systems and positive reinforcement, and a design for individualized curriculum.
