APRIL NEWS LETTER Mark from MSC Motorcycles Re-commissioning Talk

1996-2016

Editor Cheyenne Johnson Email chey15@hotmail.co.uk

Plymouth Motorcycle Club

Well once again Mark has delivered with his presentation. Mark gave us a talk on what to do and what to look out for when putting your bike back on the road after being laid up for the winter. Of course one of the important things these days is to make sure that your bike is taxed before going back on the road. A lot of riders do SORN their bikes for the winter but with no tax disc now, an easy one too forget. Pre-season check sheet’s were put on the tables for members to be able to keep track of what was being talked about as the talk progressed. The check sheet is on the next page for any one who couldn’t attend the club on the night, or if you think it might be of help, please feel free to print it off. Weather forecasters have hinted that we are in for some good weather this summer (we’ve heard that before) when you do choose to put your bike back on the road, if it has been laid up for the winter, then please take Marks advice and spend a little time to make sure every thing is right before you venture out, it is for your own good. Thanks to Mark once again for giving us his time.

Below is the pre-Season check list that Mark used for his talk, if you missed the talk or just want a gentle reminder of what to look out for feel free to print it off. If you are a fully paid up member of the club you will get a very handy ÂŁ5 off for an MOT and if you have any work done you will get a discount.

If you don’t want to get your pride and joy nicked then get down to GT’s and take advantage of this great offer, as it says WHILE STOCKS LAST!

Timed for when we should be guaranteed good weather, if you have never ridden this road then you have missed a jolly good ride. Bideford is a lovely place to end up for a ride, stop for a cuppa and a cream tea before a leisurely ride back home. Great day out.

Well, it sure didn’t look like the first Plymouth bike night of 2016 was going to get off to a very good start. To start with it was very windy and at times there were a few spots of rain. As it turned out the bikers of Plymouth and the surrounding areas didn’t let that stop them turning up. By the time the bikes were allowed onto the Hoe the wind had dropped right away. Bikes were slow to turn up at first but after a short while more and more turned up until eventually 268 bikes were on the Hoe, this raised a brilliant £321.58 for the charities Social media was rife with people asking when the bike nights started. The Bike nights poster is on page twelve of this news letter please feel free to print it off or jot down the dates if you don’t have a printer. The poster will be in just about every news letter until the bike nights finish, so no need to miss one. Plymouthbikenights.co.uk @plymouthbikenights
