Meet the new Princess F62, featuring a deeper V-hull and elegant knife-shaped hull windows – distinctive to the Princess Yachts range and their forward-thinking design.

Featuring the latest hull infusion technology to en eqciency and ride- comfort, the new F6 2 reached speeds in excess of 13 knots, orering an exhilarating ride in complete safety and luxury.

The interior of the F6 2 stays familiar, however there has been some key uplifts to the materials, fi xtures and fittings, with new details on her helm position as well creating a more open galley arrangement aft. The faceli has helped to bring the light into this yacht, with ful length panoramic windows, open spaces and lighter materials – she really looks both modern and stunni

The latest design updates elevate the Princess F62 alon the Princess range as a high contender for the ideal fam flybridge yacht. With spacious accommodation for up to six guests, as well as a further aft cabin for occasional gue crew, the F62 is versatile and compelling.

The flybridge market demands space above all else and the F62 delivers that in spades. The bigger surprise is that Princess has managed to incorporate this much volume into such a good-looking boat. The other surprise is how much more sophisticated and detailed the interior feels than the previous generation of boats. Nick Burnham, Motorboat & Yachting

PRINCESS F CLASS

F55 Words by Jack Haines Motorboat & Yachting, August 2018

Last month, we saw a different side to Princess Yachts as we experienced its radical R35 prototype, a boat that stretches technological boundaries and takes the Plymouth yard to a place that it has never been before.

The new 55 flybridge may not be as revolutionary as the active foiling R35 but it is just as important to Princess’s success and represents exactly the type of craft on which Princess has cultivated its enviable reputation. This is the real bread and butter for the yard, even if at £1.1 million for this threecabin flybridge cruiser, it’s a fair bit richer than your standard loaf of Mother’s Pride. 9

Dino i still as active in the company as he was in the beginnin now as managing director.

Their busy boat sales department is headed up by George McDiarmid, “I have been brought up on and around the west coast of Scotland with a passion for sailing and motor boating – much to the disappointment of my kids! Our family holidays usually involve a boating trip up the west coast, always taking in the stunning island of Jura and their magnificent distillery. There is a lot to see and do here in Scotland, with beautiful bays, remote islands and fewer people – this really is a great place to own a boat”. George is also a qualified Marine Engineer and has been around boats for the majority of his life, so can help in selecting the perfect boat for any individual. Dino and George boast over 01 years of boating experience and knowledge between them. It’s fair to say that tucked away in this little town of Largs is an owner’s haven just waiting to be explored.

DISCOVE R Largs and western Scotland

42

Scotland enjoys a reliable, albeit cooler climate yearround, with a mixture of warm air from the Atlantic and cool air from the north. And the western coastal areas of Scotland are considered the warmest. The best time to visit is from late spring through to mid-autumn; the temperatures will be considerably warmer, the days will be longer, however the snow will still remain on the very tips of the surrounding mountains of the Highlands and Cairngorms. Venture to the northern isles of Scotland, and you can even witness the 24-hour sun during the longest day of the year or solstice in mid-June.
