Benetti FB269 Sold To Loyal Owner Mr John Staluppi

Benetti is pleased to announce that Mr. John Staluppi – one of the most loyal Owners ever – renewed its confidence in the yard signing a contract for a semidisplacement hull of 66 full custom, code name FB269.

Although Benetti will release further details on the yacht over the upcoming months, this project promises to be extremely interesting, involving Frank Mulder for the naval archite collaboration with yard engineering team and Giorgio Cassetta Design for exteriors – along with Benetti in house design team. For FB269 – steel and aluminum – Mr. Staluppi required a highly efficient and performing hull with a top speed of over 20 knots.

Vincenzo Poerio – Benetti CEO reports: “We are delighted of John coming back, especially with such a request, we can define as a very exciting “new challenge”. This relationshi so faithful client give us a responsibility even heavier than our usual. We are sure to meet once again with his desires. Loyal owner returns to Benetti JULY 17, 2015

Loyal Benetti client, John Staluppi, has returned to the shipyard again, this time to sign a contract for a 66m (217ft) semi-displacement fully custom yacht. The steel and aluminium yacht has been given the yard number FB269. Staluppi has stipulated that the yacht must have a highly efficient performance hull with a top speed of over 20 knots. Benetti has said it will release further details in the upcoming months and, with Staluppi a very non-publicity shy owner, the project should be a chance for the shipyard to really showcase its work. Staluppi founded Millennium Super Yachts (http://millenniumsuperyachts.com/index.html) in 1998, by which time he had built 18 boats. Christensen, Heesen and Norship have been among the builders Staluppi has worked with. With Benetti he has built a 52m and 61m Diamonds Are Forever. Benetti won Staluppi’s contract following he and his wife Jeanette’s decision to market Project Skyfall (http://www.superyachtbusiness.net/news/sunrise-to-market-projectskyfall-5048), being built at Sunrise Yachts, to another buyer. The steelwork on the yacht has already been completed and it will be available in March 2017. Sanlorenzo Introduces First Ever Explorer Yacht

After a recent announcement surrounding the sale of the new Spectre project, Benetti has today reported the sale of a custom 57 metre superyacht with Imperial Yachts. Acting as the buyer’s broker, Imperial presented a new contract to Benetti and worked with the owner to create a detailed specification for the project dubbed ‘FB271’ as well as Luca Dini for the interior. “The intense collaboration with Imperial Broker, outstanding yacht professional, took once again Benetti to the sale of a new ‘jewel’,” explains Fabio Ermetto, Benetti CCO. “This as a confirmation that Benetti keeps receiving constant commercial achievements and great confidence by the most demanding world superyacht Owners.”

Thirty C Unveil 50m MAKO Superyacht

Benetti will be proudly presenting three debuts at the upcoming Monaco Yacht Show, three new superyachts which will be turning heads across Port Hercules this September. These three new superyachts present a European debut as well as two worldwide unveilings, open to the visitors walking the docks of the 25th Monaco Yacht Show. We take a look at the yachts on display: FB265 MY ‘11/11’ This 63 meter superyacht has an immediately notable exterior profile. Her plumb bow literally cuts through the water, allowing for an increased dynamic tendency, while her design reflects the elegant characteristics of a classic Benetti. 11/11's interiors are just as original. Her designated layout favors two spacious and comfortable owner's cabins, one on the full beam main deck, the second on the upper deck with private access to the pool and solarium deck while scenic effects and nighttime illumination are assured at anchor with 46 lights placed below the waterline of the superyacht. FB255 MY ‘Formosa’ The steel and aluminum hull of Formosa – whose exterior styling and naval architecture were created entirely by Benetti – has five decks, with 60 meters of length overall, a beam of 10.6 meters and a displacement of 1,060 GT.

Prolific owner returns to Benetti By William Mathieson | Other articles by this author Benetti has confirmed that prolific superyacht owner, John Staluppi has commissioned what, upon completion, will become his 19th superyacht. The 66m semi-displacement FB269 is a collaboration between Frank Mulder, Giorgio Cassetta Design and Benetti’s in-house team. This announcement represents the culmination of a process that began in autumn 2014, when Staluppi halted the production of 68m Project Skyfall at Turkish shipyard, Sunrise Yachts. In a statement to the industry Benetti said the exacting owner has commissioned a steel and aluminium vessel with a heavy emphasis on speed and efficiency. This suggests it could follow a similar brief to Project Skyfall, which was set to include innovations including a Voith Linear Jet propulsion system and a MME microturbine system, although there is no indication either will appear on board FB269.

RIHANNA – GALAXY

Another fan of the superyacht charter Rihanna was spotted on Galaxy off the coast of Saint-Tropez in September 2014. The 56 metre motor-yacht was built in 2005 by Italian shipyard Benetti. Access to all four guest decks is made easy with her guest elevator and it has 15 experienced crew members. There is an air conditioned gym on the sun deck which allows guests to work out while simultaneously taking in the view. Galaxy has six cabins and the luxury owner’s suite on the main deck features an en-suite Jacuzzi and VIP office. Benetti has evolved its design with the 11/11 thanks to a distinctive hydrodynamic plumb bow, which will enhance fuel efficiency as she powers through the water. The evolution has continued with the interior, which features two owner’s cabins - one on the full beam main deck, the second on the upper deck with access to the pool and solarium deck. The four guest cabins are on the lower deck, each with its own en-suite bathroom. The decks are teak. The 11/11’s two CAT 3512C engines, developing 1350kW each, have seen her reach a top speed of 17 knots during her preliminary sea trails. The cruising speed has been stated at 15 knots. The full displacement superyacht, which has four decks contained in her steel hull and aluminium superstructure, is predicted to have a range of 5,000nm, and room for up to 12 guests and 14 crew. She is certainly an eye-catching boat and her ability to turn heads will no doubt be enhanced by the 46 lights placed below the waterline, which should provide a spectacular sight at anchor after dark. Benetti has built boats for many high-profile customers, including Sir Philip Green, the owner of Topshop and British retail entrepreneur. The Monaco Boat Show takes place at Port Hercules in the principality on the Cote d’Azur between September 23 and 26.

A custom 57m full-displacement Benetti yacht, known as FB 271, has been sold by Imperial, who acted for the buyer and developed the speciﬁcation of the project. Luca Dini, the Florentine designer with 25 years of naval architecture experience, has been appointed to design the interiors for the FB271 project, which is scheduled for delivery in 2018.
