This week’s OceanLIVE previews what you can expect this year at the world’s largest on-water presentation of superyachts and prestige brands. The Monaco Yacht Show is a magnet for the world’s premium yachting brands above 80-feet, brokers and other companies in this prestige sector. Le chantier italien Benetti, à Livourne, dédié à la construction de yachts et de superyachts

Alors que le Cannes Yachting Festival bat son plein, le chantier italien Benetti vient de dévoiler deux ventes peu ordinaires. Ces ciommandes commande consistent en effet dans la vente de deux superyachts de plus de 100m de long, qui vient compléter la construction en cours d'une unité de 90 mètres, la FB 256 dont la livraison est prévue en 2015. Leur construction aura lieu sur le site industriel de Livourne. Pour la direction de Benetti, interrogée par ActuNautique.com, ces deux commandes confirment la capacité du chantier à construire en même temps, un nombre importants de yachts de toutes tailles, notamment des grandes unités.

Breaking News: Benetti signs two 100m+ superyacht contracts Wednesday, 10 September 2014

By Maarten Janssen At the Cannes Yachting Festival, Benetti's CEO Vincenzo Poerio just announced minutes ago, that Benetti has signed two contracts to build two 100m+ superyachts.

Vincenzo Poerio said: "The world is more and more looking for larger yachts and as you know we are building a 90 metre which will be delivered next year. I am now pleased to announce that we have signed two contracts for yachts over 100 metres". More details have not yet been released.

Two 100m+ orders for Benetti By Ellie Brade | Other articles by this author Benetti has confirmed the sale of not one, but two 100m+ superyacht projects. The new orders trump Benetti's biggest order to date, 90m FB256, which is on schedule to launch in 2015. The two new yachts will be built at Benetti's Leghorn facilities. The yard team says that these new orders underline Benetti's ability to have a high nmber of yachts under construction coupled with numerous contracts. This is the result of a consolidated financial effort that the whole Azimut Benetti group has managed to develop though the years by earning the trust on one hand of institutional lenders and on the other of clients from all market sectors around the globe.

Benetti Confirms Two Superyacht Sales Over 100m

Benetti, one of the world’s largest producers of yachts over 24 metres in length for 14 consecutive years, with a production orientated towards ever longer vessels, has burst into the over 90 metre superyacht sector revealing the advanced state of production of a 90 metre yacht and the double sale of two superyachts over 100 metres in length. This exceptional result once again underlines Benetti’s unique quality of having a high number of yachts under construction coupled with numerous contracts. This is the result of a consolidated financial effort that the whole Azimut Benetti group has managed to develop through the years by earning the trust on one hand of institutional lenders and on the other of clients from all market sectors. When it comes to yacht spotting, little has quite the jaw-dropping awe-factor of the Monaco Yacht Show, a predominantly industry-led gathering featuring 100-plus of the world’s most splendid yachts in the principality’s Port Hercule (not to mention an even great number of hors de concours as it were, which lie at anchor further out to sea). But 35 miles along the Cote d’Azur, the Cannes Yachting Festival is both much larger and altogether more accessible. In essence, this is Cannes as its most glamorous. There aren’t this many superyachts in town even during the fabled film festival! This year’s edition – its 37th – opens next week, featuring more than 580 boats (more than a quarter of which are what the industry calls “worldpremiere editions”); most will be in the Vieux Port, but don’t overlook those in the Port Pierre Canto at the far end of La

Among the stand-outs promise to be Seaway Yachts’ Shipman 59, a strikingly beautiful 18.9m/62ft carbon yacht that its

manufacturers not only promise is “unsinkable” thanks to her carbon-epoxy construction, but whose hybrid technology means she can operate with zero emissions in marinas and anchorages and there’s no noisy generator sound to disturb you – she sleeps six – at night. For stealthy operation – the ability to slip from moorings all but silently – is quite a trend this year. Witness Admiral Sail’s four-cabin Silent 76, the biggest – at 23m/76ft – sailing boat at Cannes. Its interior nevertheless features onyx, marble and several sorts of leather, in short the sorts of material more usually found on superyachts than high-performance sailing boats. She is also unexpectedly spacious, featuring a garage capable of accommodating a waterjet tender of up to 3.2m and a jet ski. Of course there’ll be power boats, tenders and, of course, superyachts too. Look out for Logica Yachts’ distinctive 44.8m/147ft Logica 147-01, designed by Luca Brenta, with contemporary interiors by the London practice Martin Kemp Design. But my hunch is that there’ll be none larger, nor more ingeniously configured than 55m/180ft Ocean Paradise.
