ФЕСТИВАЛЬ ЯХТ В КАННАХ ПРОШЕЛ В ЭТОМ ГОДУ В 38-Й РАЗ И В ОЧЕРЕДНОЙ РАЗ ДОКАЗАЛ, ЧТО ЯВЛЯЕТСЯ ГЛАВНОЙ ВЫСТАВКОЙ ЕВРОПЫ На фото Под экспозицию Cannes Yachting Festival мэрия города отдает два порта – Pierre Canto и Vieux Port. Первый занимают верфи, второй отдают яхтенным брокерам.
На воде посетителей ждали больше 500 лодок размером от пяти до 46 метров – и это только в Старом порту, а была ведь еще и экспозиция в соседнем порту ПьерКанто – настоящий заповедник крупнейших яхтенных брокеров, который привезли для продажи или в чартер еще около полусотни суперъяхт «с пробегом». Британская верфь Princess в Каннах с размахом праздновала полувековой юбилей. Одной из самых заметных ее новинок была мировая премьера модели 35M – глиссирующей 35-метровой яхты
с экстерьером от дизайнбюро Бернарда Олесински. Яхта поразила простором на борту и гибкостью организации внутреннего пространства – возможности трансформации ее интерьеров приятно поразят владельцев при семейном отдыхе и будут неоценимым преимуществом на чартерном рынке. Надо сказать, что интерьеры яхты целиком разрабатывались собственными специалистами Princess. Просторный главный салон расширяется за счет откидных балконов в обоих бортах, что в композитном корпусе является

серьезным инженерным достижением. Потому приз Invictus Yachts Trophies в категории «Лучший интерьер яхты длиной от 50 до 80 футов» считаем абсолютно заслуженным. Еще одним откровением в плане тщательности постройки и инженерной проработки стала яхта со смелым названием Storm, построенная итальянцами из Cantiere delle Marche. Даже если песенка

Справа Верфь Riva нечасто балует нас премьерами, а в этом году представила в Каннах сразу несколько. 88 Florida, безусловно, стала главной. Жюри Invictus Yachts Trophies единогласно признало ее лучшей в своем классе.
про «как вы яхту назовете…» во всем права, этому «траулеру» бояться нечего – 107футовая лодка построена так, что способна выдержать любые испытания. Ее делали для опытного британского яхтсмена, который раньше владел яхтой от Feadship (!), так что представьте, какие стандарты качества пришлось поддерживать молодой итальянской верфи. Намерением заказчика было проводить на лодке с семьей не меньше четырех месяцев в году, поэтому на борту Storm имеется большой запас топлива, огромный камбуз и даже отдельная радиорубка – специально для связи с миром из очень дальних путешествий. Для тех, кому стиль и скорость дороже дальних переходов, легендарная Riva представила модель 88 Florida – лодку с уникальной «кабриолетной» крышей. В поднятом положении массивный хардтоп укрывает салон от солнца, позволяя поддерживать кондиционированный климат 69

ЗДЕСЬ БЫЛИ И СУРОВЫЕ ЭКСПЛОРЕРЫ, И ФЛАЙБРИДЖНЫЕ МОДЕЛИ, И ЛОДКИ ДЛЯ КРАСИВОЙ ЖИЗНИ Вверху Новинка легендарного производителя из США Cigarette Racing – 50 Marauder GT S – создана в сотрудничестве со студией Mercedes AMG. Внизу Премьера британской верфи Princess – 35М.
и открывая доступ к диванной зоне в носовой части. Если же захочется солнца в лицо и ветра в волосах, крыша на сложной системе рычагов уходит вперед и накрывает носовую диванную зону, оставляя вам, по сути, огромный спортивный катер с красивым стремительным профилем и большим открытым салоном. На тест-драйве 88 Florida, не напрягаясь, показывала 40 узлов (75км/ч) с большой группой людей на борту и демонстрировала отменную маневренность и комфорт на полном ходу. По нашему мнению – идеальная лодка для стильных «прострелов» вдоль Лазурного берега. Из нововведений в программе фестиваля в этому году появился
Concours D'Elegance – конкурс красоты среди винтажных и современных катеров длиной не более 12 метров. Получилось очень элегантное зрелище, хотя лодок было и не очень много – всего 13 экипажей. Расстановка сил была очень показательной – среди новых лодок (2000–2015 годов выпуска) первое место занял катер австрийской верфи Frauscher (1017 GT, Aeternum), а среди «классиков» (до 1975 года выпуска) весь подиум забрали, конечно же, «Ривы», выпущенные между 1963 и 1969 годами. Очень надеемся, что начало хорошей традиции положено и в следующем году лодок на параде элегантности в Каннах соберется гораздо больше. 71

MONACO YACHT SHOW Мы любим Монако за то, что здесь все имеет высшую степень. Ежегодная выставка яхт в княжестве принимает только «обладательниц титула» мега- и супер. В этом году она прошла в 25-й раз.

Ежегодный смотр самых больших и самых роскошных яхт мира, или Monaco Yacht Show, – свидетель всех тенденций, что царили на верфях за последние годы. Здесь помнят и начало 1990-х, когда шоу в порту Эркюль собирало едва ли несколько десятков яхт. Помнят блестящую середину 2000-х, когда самым-самым едва хватало места. Сегодня организаторы Monaco Yacht Show сумели оптимизировать пространство так, что есть возможность продемонстрировать больше лодок. Кажется, это прямое свидетельство того,
что сильные мира сего перестали пытаться обогнать друг друга в размерах яхт. А вот тех, кто может себе позволить роскошь, стало больше. Нам, людям, которым интересно все, что связано с миром яхт, это только на руку. Это значит, что с каждой новой выставкой в Монако будет больше новостей. Само 25-е Monaco Yacht Show приготовило несколько давно ожидаемых премьер. Не можем не упомянуть одну из героинь этого номера – 69-метровую Suerte. Это первый проект молодой генуэзской верфи Tankoa. Первые «пробы пера» представили хорваты с верфи Brodosplit и даже часовщики Franck Müller. Хотя последние выступили в рамках коллаборации с Italian Sea Group. В Монако был представлен катер FMY 55 Open – стильный тендер для серьезной яхты или самостоятельная лодка. Идеальный вариант для владельца, одинаково не равнодушного к яхтам и швейцарским часам. Вышеупомянутая верфь Brodosplit – одна из крупнейших в Европе – показала 60-метровую Katina. Она привлекала тем, что яхт такого размера до нее в Хорватии еще не строили. И раз уж мы заговорили о часовщиках, то отвлечемся на еще одно знаковое событие, проходящее в рамках Monaco Yacht Show раз в два года. Благотворительный аукцион созданных в единственном экземпляре часов Only Watch, хоть и не отмечал в этот раз красивую дату, но именно с 25-й выставки суперъяхт впервые отправился в мировое турне, продемонстрировав коллекционерам со всего 75

На фото Долгие годы порт Эркюль не принимал больше 100 суперъяхт. Теперь, когда их количество в мире возросло, организаторы выставки пересмотрели пространство и нашли место для еще пары десятков яхт. Навстречу пошел и князь Альбер II, он же председатель яхтклуба Монако: в 2014 г. открыли новое здание клуба с дополнительными причалами.

Еще одно творение прославленного дизайнера демонстрировала верфь Lürssen: 66-метровая Ester III манила всех, кто следит за новостями – известно,
что Ойно проектировал ее, получив карт-бланш от владельца. Две новинки голландского гиганта Feadship и итальянского Baglietto; 81метровая Romea от Abeking & Rasmussen – свежее пополнение нашего рейтинга самых больших лодок мира; премьеры у Benetti и Custom Line; новый взгляд на эксплореры от Sanlorenzo и на яхтенную классику от Rossinavi, – все это и еще огромное количество проектов разожгли в нас нешуточный интерес, вдохновили и обеспечили новыми темами на несколько номеров вперед! 77

Наше издание – завсегдатай междунардного бот-шоу в ФортЛодердейле, и мы видели эту выставку разной. В этом году, например, наблюдение велось из роскошного лаунджа журнала Invictus – нашего «старшего брата» и партнера в западном полушарии. Первое, о чем хочется заявить, «пока свежи воспоминания», это явный факт – Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show в этом году из международной выставки на 99% превратилось в шоу американского масштаба. Повлияло ли отсутствие посетителей из Европы и Латинской Америки на то, что выставка в первый день работы была не готова принимать людей (не были расстелены даже ковровые дорожки, которые обыкновенно облегчают навигацию и делают кадры экспозиции красивее), не известно. Но все же европейские верфи сделали правильную ставку на сильный и верный им годами американский рынок, и ярко заявили о себе в Форт-Лодердейле. Особенно красиво выступила верфь Feadship. Кому, как не этому гиганту судостроения, знать, что далеко не все клиенты хотят быть замеченными. Специально для них голландцы арендовали виллу в некотором отдалении от основной

HE STATE OF THE YACHTING INDUSTRY is strong, or at least stronger. After two years of stable numbers following the 2013 low point, the number of new yachts reported on order or under construction — 755 yachts 24 meters and larger — is actually up. Amid a sea of change, there is a constant: The Azimut Benetti Group retains its first-place ranking with the most yachts reported under construction or on order.
The Players The cards have been reshuffled somewhat between the most productive yacht-building countries, even if the top three remain the same — Italy, The Netherlands and Turkey. Taiwan, which was lagging a bit in the past few years, has grown again, mostly thanks to Alexander Marine and Horizon. The UK, meanwhile, has slid back, as did The Netherlands (which had a record year in 2014–2015), Germany, China and the UAE; however, some of this may be due to yacht builders under strict nondisclosure agreements. The projects that builders are not able to disclose, but we know exist, are listed as “custom” instead of under the builder’s header and country. This typically affects the largest projects, which primarily means Germany and The Netherlands. While the yards are unable to officially confirm them, these projects are real and eventually will see the light of day.
Norway has claimed the 10th-place ranking from Greece thanks to two large projects building at Kleven and subcontractor work for Palmer Johnson’s SuperSport series in carbon. Palmer Johnson recently announced it was moving its operations from the U.S. to The Netherlands, but the move had not yet happened at press time. Pending the move, we listed the carbon hulls and superstructures being built for the SuperSports under Norway. Next year, they will add to The Netherlands’ numbers. Palmer Johnson’s move is one of the changes that will affect the U.S.’s ranking in the future. In fact, one of the main contradictions in this year’s GOB is what we call the American paradox. Thanks to strong order books from the Westport, Hatteras and Viking yards, the state of the yachting industry in the U.S. looks pretty healthy. But the reality isn’t so cheery. On top of Palmer Johnson’s departure, Christensen has gone through an ownership change, and recently sold Trinity is for sale again. Yet while some U.S. yards apparently struggle to keep going, the American market is currently one of the strongest, brokers tell us, unlike the Russian market. Economic sanctions against Russia and other factors, including the drop in oil prices and political unrest, continue to have a negative effect on the once-healthy Russian market. While ultra-rich Russian clients are still around, newcomers to the yachting industry have left the market for the moment. This could help explain why 2015 was a good year, but not as strong as expected,
especially on the brokerage market. The second-hand market reached 300 sales as we finalized this report on October 14, 2015, a level of sales achieved three weeks earlier the previous year on September 22.
The Big Boys In the category of yachts 250 feet and larger, orders are down just one from last year’s record high. However, 21 yachts of 100 meters (328 feet) and larger are under construction, and four were delivered in 2015. Exciting and impressive projects have already launched for an imminent delivery, such as the 468-foot (143meter) Sailing Yacht A at Nobiskrug or the 351-foot (107-meter) expedition superyacht Ulysses at Kleven. Other supersized projects scheduled for 2016 include a secretive, high-volume 492-foot (150-meter) project to be delivered by Mariotti and the largest ever superyacht in gross tons, the 512-foot (156-meter) project Omar, which Lürssen built for a repeat client.

Speaking of Lürssen, its order book continues to be impressive with no fewer than five projects over 100 meters under construction and deliveries all the way to 2019. Kleven, Oceanco and Benetti also each have at least two projects of 100 meters or larger on their respective order books.
Still in Line We’re happy to see a few pedigree yards return in this year’s GOB. For example, Burger Boat Company has received an order for a 104-foot (31.6-meter) expedition yacht, Ocea has a new 99-foot (30-meter) commuter, Otam is building a 115-foot (35-meter) tri-deck yacht and Cantieri di Pisa, under new ownership, is coming back to life, presenting two new model concepts at the Monaco show. The bulk of new orders are for yachts between 90 feet and 150 feet, a nine percent increase from last year. As far as types of yachts, expedition yachts continue to be a growing trend, while express cruiser (or open) orders are on the decline. Fewer sailing yachts are under construction, but are concentrated among a core group of yards traditionally known for building sailing yachts, such as Oyster, Southern Wind, Vitters and Royal Huisman, which are doing well with their order books. Refit activity continues to grow in every country and in every yard. Even for the most prestigious and busy builders, it has become an essential activity that provides consistent work and revenue. Feadship has completed the refit of Podium (launched by Lürssen in 2006 as Linda Lou), a first for the Dutch company as it previously only handled refits of Feadship yachts. In the UK, Pendennis continues its success story with refits, including the delivery of the beautiful classic superyacht Malahne, and a long list of projects already scheduled for 2016, including the refit of the Derecktor-built superyacht Aquila (ex-Cakewalk).
Back on Track Another positive for this year’s GOB is that many projects that were listed as “on hold” for a long time have become active projects again, meaning construction is or will be resuming soon. For instance, Metalships will complete the 194-foot (59-meter) superyacht whose construction
THE RULES & METHODOLOGY The Global Order Book was established in 1992 by ShowBoats International to provide a body of data, updated annually in a systematic fashion that shows the scope of economic activity within the superyacht industry. Each year we present a list of yachts 24 meters (78’ 8”) and larger on order as of September 1, 2015, at ship-

yards throughout the world. Every effort is made to ensure accurate, comprehensive data. We rigorously survey all shipyards, and each receives the same rules. Whenever possible, data is cross-referenced with other industry sources, and in many cases, is corroborated with personal visits to shipyards.
Participation in the GOB is entirely voluntary and free of charge. For a project to be included, it must be signed with a minimum 10 percent deposit received by, on or about September 1. Spec builds may be listed only if actual construction, e.g., cutting metal, hull lay-up or tooling, has begun by the same date.

started at FNM in Spain. At Mondomarine, the M54 that started a couple of years ago has been sold and will be delivered in 2017. Project Nato, a 246-footer (75meter), started by San Marco in La Spezia, Italy, will be shipped to another yard with a target completion date sometime in 2018. There are three unsold hulls at Pisa and with the yard’s new owners, we expect they’ll be completed in the near future. In Canada, Crescent Yachts, acquired last year by the grandson of the yard’s founder, is back in business with two projects that have been on hold for years and now scheduled for launch in 2015 and 2016.
The Forecast Consolidation among builders seems to be a trend and could also be the solution for the future. Mondomarine recently acquired Cantieri di Pisa. Gavio Group, with its main yard Baglietto, had already acquired Cerri in 2011, and in early 2015 added Bertram to its portfolio. In The Netherlands, Acico Yachts promises to breathe new life into the struggling Jongert yard. In China, IAG Yachts, formerly owned by an audio-visual conglomerate, has become part of Sunbird, a multifaceted boat builder founded in 2003. The GOB this year shows a yachting industry that is more compact and stronger. Most pedigree yards have comfortable order books for the coming year. At the 2015 Cannes and Monaco yacht shows, industry professionals were markedly optimistic, and so are we.

The Dockwalk Factor New builds launching mean more jobs for crew. Just how many? While exact numbers aren’t possible, there’s room for optimism due to the solid numbers. The Global Order Book puts the number of active vessels 24 meters and larger in the water at 9,902 as of September 2015. Estimating conservatively, beginning at the lower range of 24 meters and moving up to vessels of 100 meters plus in length, the low number estimate has potentially 38,774 jobs available in the marketplace. If you factor in the crew numbers on the higher side, the number comes in at 72,810. This number does not include the 754 vessels currently in build. If we look closely at those figures, the picture looks even brighter. According to the Global Order Book estimates, both high and low, once the in-build vessels launch over the next few years, the crew market could see between 5,086 ranging to the high estimate of 8,429 additional crew jobs. With more stringent requisites required of crew, apprentice programs and specified training in all departments continues to support new and experienced crew to fill the yacht industry’s revitalized growth. Even with the fluctuating economies, the industry appears to be on a healthy heading. Needless to say, there are plenty of boats and each boat needs crew.
