The Sun reports tycoon Nick Candy had to call on TV hypnotist Paul McKenna, 52, to stop her throwing up on the Benetti vessel. And it has now emerged that she “hasn’t had a dose since”. Aussie Holly, 32 — mum of two-year-old Luka — was “heavily involved” in redesigning “11.11” to make it childproof, 43-year-old Nick told Boat International magazine.

Fisker teaser Benetti has revealed a simple flourish from the pen of automotive designer, Henrik Fisker as a tantalising hint at their 50-metre collaboration. Images Azimut Benetti Entrepreneur and acclaimed international designer Henrik Fisker (pictured above), the founder of Henrik Fisker Design, and influential global superyacht builder Benetti are joining forces to create a series of innovative 50-metre (164-foot) superyachts. The collaboration is focused on a new 50-metre yacht with naval architecture by Benetti. The yacht will be designed in California and built at the Benetti facilities in Livorno, at the heart of the Tuscan coastline. The concept will integrate a new platform developed by Benetti’s engineering team with Fisker’s sporty exterior and interior designs. Fisker is pioneering a new design concept to enhance and optimize the onboard experience by utilizing more space on the vast superyacht for both hosting and leisure. The design will add a new “human flow” element to reduce unused space and increase its usability. The yacht exterior will have a dramatic body using light weight carbon fibre and other exotic materials, as well as optimized ocean views from all major cabins and use reclaimed wood, integrated solar panels and optional hybrid power.

SUPERYACHT SECTOR OFF TO BUSY START IN 2016 January 23, 2016 A mix of busy shows in Asia, Europe and America, as well as new orders and a good flow of sales have all contributed to a busy market place Against the economic gloom that has seen trillions knocked off the value of companies, along with the decline in commodities and oil prices and the traditional cold of the northern hemisphere winter, the global superyacht sector has actually got off to an active start. A mix of busy shows in Asia, Europe and America, as well as new orders, a good flow of sales and a few interesting deals have all contributed to a busy market place. Orders just announced include a 50m (164ft) Benetti custom displacement yacht, FB802 Breeze, and a new contract for the second of the 40.2m (132ft) Mangusta 132 yacht series. The latter will be delivered in the autumn of 2016 and is a semi-custom project, with the owner having shared in the interior design and layout. As for the new Benetti, this is the second of the series built on spec and she will be delivered by June 2016. A third yacht in the series is already in construction with delivery in 2017. Benetti said in a statement: “After a brilliant performance in 2015, the 16th year in a row as the world’s top superyacht builder, beating out the most important international competitors, Benetti starts 2016 with yet another success, thanks also to their collaboration with Fraser Yachts. The new FB802 Breeze project maintains Benetti’s high standards for comfort and liveability.” Fabio Ermetto, CCO at Benetti, says he’s satisfied with the latest signed contract. “We see our winning strategy of building 50m-plus yachts on-spec confirmed with this sale, obviously supported by an unequalled financial solidity. In fact, the Azimut-Benetti Group has just been crowned the world’s top producer of yachts over 24m in length.” Antoine Larricq at Fraser Yacht added: “It is a great honour to have signed my largest Benetti to date. The hull FB802 is the third Benetti for the same client. FB802 will provide great space for the owner with a structural balcony and a functional general arrangement for the crew.” In addition, JFA has also signed a contract to build a 25.9m (85ft) Privilege Serie 8 by Long Island, which is a sister to JFA’s Windquest, but it has a hardtop on the flybridge as well as a different internal layout.

At Bilgin Yachts in Turkey, work on its biggest build to date – the 80m (262ft) Project 263 – is said to be making good progress and steel cutting is set to start in March. The yacht is due for completion in 2019. As for shows, PIMEX in Phuket reported record visitor numbers and a good volume of business done. London saw a slightly smaller crowd, but Sunseeker in particular is reporting a good number of new orders worth some £40m. And while the outcome on the acquisition of a majority stake in Sunrise Yachts by a Hong Kongbased private equity group is still uncertain, IBI understands that meetings next week will see the completion of the deal.

Another Turkey-related deal involves the Doğuş Group buying a 70% stake in the Barcelona-based yacht repair and refit yard MB’92. IYC, the leading brokerage and superyacht services house, has also expanded by acquiring Super Yachts London. -IBI

De Australische actrice en zangeres Holly Valance (32) heeft een mooi cadeau gekregen van haar man, de Britse miljardair Nick Candy (43). Het betreft een jacht van het eerder grotere kaliber: een Benetti 11/11. Waarde: om en bij de 35 miljoen euro. Daar kan je je al eens mee op het water vertonen! Maar laat net dát een probleem zijn voor Holly: ze wordt zeeziek. Niet dat manlief niet op de hoogte was van de zeeziekte van zijn geliefde. Hij vond zelfs een oplossing: tv-hypnotiseur Pal McKenna (52) zorgt ervoor dat Holly alles binnenhoudt op de boottochtjes met de Benetti. Sinds McKenna zich moeide, bleef de superjacht inderdaad schoon. Holly Valance is bekend van haar rol als Felicity (Flick) Scully in de populaire Australische soapreeks Neighbours. O estaleiro italiano Benetti anunciou a venda da primeira unidade do projeto FB802 Breeze, Vica, lançado em 2014 e com entrega prevista para junho deste ano. A venda foi feita por intermédio da Fraser Yachts e o estaleiro já está na construção do casco número três, que deverá ser entregue em 2017. Segundo Fabio Ermetto, CCO da Benetti, esta venda conﬁrma o sucesso da estratégia de construção de embarcação de mais de 50 metros. Vica é o terceiro Benetti vendido para o mesmo cliente, de acordo com a Fraser Yachts, e proporcionará amplo espaço para o proprietário, incluindo varanda e arranjo funcional para a tripulação. Fraser Yachts has announced the sale of the new 50-metre Benetti Breeze FB802 project.

FB802 is the second hull of Benetti’s 50m FB800 series and is set to be delivered in June 2016. A third yacht of the same series is already in construction with delivery in 2017. Antoine Larricq of Fraser Yachts Monaco represented the buyer, a long-standing client, in the purchase of the project. Breeze marks the seventh Benetti new build project that Larricq has signed in five years and the 10th new build project he has signed in recent years. FB802 is a displacement yacht built to American Bureau of Shipping standards with a GRP hull and aluminium superstructure. Her sleek and streamlined exterior gives way to an elegant interior, illuminated by natural light from the panoramic windows. It will feature the owner’s stateroom on the main deck with a private balcony, and accommodation for 10 more guests on the lower deck with two VIP staterooms and two staterooms with Twins/Pullman. A massage room, pool and full-beam sky lounge are highlights of the bridge deck while a spacious sun deck will offer a Jacuzzi and plenty of space for relaxation. “It is a great honour to have signed my largest Benetti to date,” says Larricq. “The hull FB802 is the third Benetti for the same client, which reflects his appreciation of the Benetti Shipyard craftsmanship.
