This week's OceanLIVE opens with my review of the 16th annual Azimut|Benetti YachtMaster conference, held for the first time in Hong Kong. The company is focused on expanding both its brands and the boating lifestyle in Asia through education and aspiration and via its network of dealers, partners and the media. Just two months after being bought by Wessex Bristol, British builder, Fairline Boats is in administration and looking for a buyer. While UK employees are facing an uncertain future, Fairline Australia is taking a "wait and see" approach and state strong support and continued interest from the Australian market. Italian entrant in this year's Rolex Sydney Hobart, Maserati hosted a thrilling Drive & Sail event this week, putting media and VIPs at the helm, albeit for a short while. Complementing the time on water was an equally exhilarating, but all too brief, lap or two around Sydney in the jaw-dropping Grandcabrio sport - top of my wish list this Christmas. Also on the horse power side, Scania has fitted Bill BarryCotter's own Maritimo M65, with its most powerful V8 engines, chosen for their fuel-efficiency, range and duration between servicing. Idyllically located at Airlie Beach, North Queensland, Abell Pt Marina is seeking a big name chef to run its 5-star facility, complete with views to the Whitsundays. See you on the water!

Guiding Asia Azimut|Benetti hosted its first YachtMasters Asia conference in Hong Kong, planning the way forward in the region. Images Azimut|Benetti Over a 16-year period, the popular annual event for the Azimut|Benetti Group has reached the Asia Pacific region, bringing together a mix of superyacht captains and industry professionals. Over the two-day Asian program, a number of local and international speakers imparted relevant information on the region and on top of this there were many opportunities to network with discussions between groups and sponsors. It was held at the exclusive membership Kee Club for a full day conference followed with a fine dining experience at Carbone, an Italian restaurant in the famous Lan Kwai Fong. The next day, entertaining team building activities were conducted at the well-established Gold Coast Yacht and Country Club where a number of large yachts were berthed. With most Asian owners still relying on the guidance from experienced European builders, suppliers and services, these types of events are crucial for boating to flourish in the Asian region. While in Hong Kong for the first edition of Azimut/Benetti YachtMasters Asia conference, Hillary Buckman (pictured front row, left) spoke to the Benetti team in Asia to discover why it is that the brand has been so successful breaking into the Asian market. The Benetti brand is synonymous with bespoke luxury, technical and building excellence and has the highest growth rate among the world’s manufacturers of superyachts. What has kept the brand at this level? Benetti is one of the world’s oldest shipyards so it is both traditional and innovative at the same time. The main reason why at an international level our brand has a superlative image is that we build quality yachts at reasonable prices, having probably “best value for money,” coupled with the fact that we have something special for every client who can choose from three of our

segments: Semi-custom displacement yachts from 93 to 145 feet, semi-displacement fast yachts that includes the Vivace 125-foot and Veloce 140-foot, and custom yachts from 150 feet to 330 feet plus. Our dedication to after-sales service is second to none. We have five Benetti Partner shipyards where we can service our yachts scattered strategically around the globe: Florida, Dominican Republic, Turkey, Malta and Hong Kong. The Asian market is one in which many European yards are still struggling to find a footing. Benetti seems to have not only found its place there, but for some years now has also been selling and delivering superyachts to this region. What factors have delivered this success? Benetti has sold and delivered 12 yachts to Asia and we have an aggressive plan to double that number in the next five years. Apart from the fact that Benetti is a traditional Italian shipyard that builds quality yachts, we would cite three main reasons for our success: Benetti has a wide spectrum of models semi-custom and custom from 28 metres to 100-plus metres and therefore we can satisfy any clientsâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; desires and dreams; We are a financially sound group where our clients are guaranteed that their yachts will be delivered and that we will not cut corners on the quality of our engineering and craftsmanship; The Benetti after-sales office in the Gold Coast Marina Hong Kong is manned by an expert service manager who is on stand-by 24/7 in case any of our Benetti clients need technical support.

Class of 2015 at the Gold Coast Yacht & Country Club. Of the 12 Benetti yachts sold and delivered to the region, how many owners are keeping them in their home port versus keeping them in Europe? Six Benetti owners have chosen Hong Kong as their homeport, others are in other parts of Asia and the trend is definitely going to continue where Asian owners want their Benettis close to the their home! In general, is the Asian owner after a different design or features than the European or American owner? In the exterior design I would say that Asian owners like similar design to that of a European or American owner, however for the interiors, Asian owners like less open space and therefore less deck space and more interior spaces. They like smaller compartments instead of open space interior areas. We are seeing now that less and less owners are asking for dedicated karaoke spaces. The reason for all these special requests is in the history and tradition of the Asian people. They like to chill out in air-conditioned interior spaces and they tend to sunbathe less. For the interior deco style, each country and continent has its own taste and style and each Asian country also has its own requirements.

What was the main reason for holding its 16th Edition in Asia? Starting from the 16th edition, Yachtmaster will be held in Asia, Europe and the Americas. This is just an additional demonstration of Benettiâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s approach to the global market and growing presence in the areas where our clients are based and enjoy their yachts. Did it live up to your expectations? What will you look at adding to the program next year? We are extremely satisfied and look forward to repeating the event and further expanding our presence and network in the area. What is your wish list for the 2016 Asian workshop? Based on the experience of the first edition, we want to enlarge the number of captains, chief engineers, officers and ownerâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s representatives. O primeiro Azimut|Benetti Yachtmaster Ásia aconteceu nos dias 17 e 18 de novembro no Kee Club, em Hong Kong. O tradicional evento reuniu capitães e profissionais da indústria e comemorou 16 anos de sucesso, tendo na sua programação uma conferência com os convidados, experiência gastronômica, além de atividades no Gold Coast Yacht e no Country Club, onde estavam localizados alguns modelos da marca. Yachtmaster Ásia faz parte do projeto que o grupo tem com a intenção de manter a comunidade Azimut|Benetti em constante comunicação profissional por meio de oficinas e estágios. Este é apenas um dos três grandes eventos ao longo de 12 meses, incluindo reuniões locais na Ásia, em 2015, e nos EUA, em 2016, além do evento europeu do grupo, que será realizado de 3 a 6 de fevereiro.

During the event, Benetti discussed its Hong Kong-based Dedicato Progamme, which provides Benetti owners with an all-in-one solution to technical assistance, maintenance, administration and crewing. The programme will continue to develop as the company grows within the Asia-Pacific region. There was also discussion regarding the newest model of the Displacement Class Range, the 35.5m Mediterraneo 116â&#x20AC;&#x2122;.

To show appreciation for its customers, the Azimut|Benetti Group organised a gala at Hainan's exclusive Visun Yacht Club. L’edizione 2016 La mappa mondiale dei costruttori di yacht di lusso (755 unità totali in costruzione) rimane pressoché la stessa del 2015 e vede l’Italia dominare su tutte le altre nazioni con 286 imbarcazioni in costruzione pari a 10.907 metri di lunghezza totale, i Paesi Bassi sono in seconda posizione con 68 unità (3.858 metri), seguiti dalla Turchia con 71 unità (3.325 metri). Taiwan raggiunge quest’anno per la prima volta la quarta posizione con 74 unità in costruzione (2.248 metri) superando gli USA con 57 unità (2.039 metri) e UK con 64 unità (1.955 metri), rispettivamente in quinta e sesta posizione.

I cantieri italiani ai primi tre posti nella Top 30 mondiale di Raoul de Forcade

I cantieri italiani della nautica restano in testa alla top 30 della rivista americana Showboats international, che ha appena pubblicato il global order book 2016, l’annuale classifica mondiale dei maggiori costruttori di imbarcazioni di lunghezza superiore ai 24 metri. Al primo posto si è confermato Azimut Benetti, al secondo Sanlorenzo e al terzo il gruppo Ferretti. Il global order book rappresenta il punto di riferimento nella nautica di alta gamma fin dal 1992. Viene aggiornato su base annuale e offre una fotografia efficace delle attività di costruzione nell’ambito dell’industria nautica, basandosi su dati complessivi delle unità attualmente in costruzione. La mappa mondiale dei costruttori di yacht di lusso (755 unità totali in costruzione) rimane pressoché la stessa del 2015 e vede l'Italia dominare su tutte le altre nazioni con 286 imbarcazioni in costruzione, pari a 10.907 metri di lunghezza totale, i Paesi Bassi sono in seconda posizione con 68 unità (3.858 metri), seguiti dalla Turchia con 71 unità (3.325 metri). Taiwan raggiunge quest’anno, per la prima volta, la quarta posizione con 74 unità in costruzione (2.248 metri) superando gli Usa che contano 57 unità (2.039 metri) e la Gran Bretagna con 64 unità (1.955 metri), rispettivamente in quinta e sesta posizione. Show boats si sofferma, tra l’altro, sullo stato del settore. E sottolinea che il mercato americano resta ancora uno dei più forti. Mentre le sanzioni contro la Russia e altri fattori, tra i quali la discesa del prezzo del petrolio e le incertezze politiche «continuano ad avere effetti negativi sul mercato Russo, un tempo in buona salute».

La rivista evidenzia anche che sono attualmente in costruzione 21 superyacht da 100 metri (e oltre) di lunghezza; e quattro sono stati consegnati nel 2015. I progetti più eclatanti in procinto di essere consegnati, si legge su Show boats, sono uno yacht da 143 metri del cantiere Nobiskrug (Germania) e un 107 metri in costruzione a Kleven (Norvegia). Mentre sono previsti, per il 2016, un 143 metri in corso di realizzazione presso i Cantieri Mariotti (Italia) e un 156 metri di Lurssen (Germania).

Alla luce di tutto questo, il 2015 si è configurato come «un buon anno ma non forte come ci si aspettava, soprattutto per il mercato del brokeraggio». Per quanto riguarda le barche di seconda mano sono state totalizzate «300 vendite», un livello raggiunto tre settimane prima nel 2014.

December 14 - 2015 two days of workshops for super and mega yacht captains at Kee Club in Hong Kong held last November 17-18, 2015 The popular annual event for Azimut Benetti superyachts Captains and Industry professionals celebrates 16 years of success and is now the central element of the new “Year-long YachtMaster” project, which will keep this community in constant communication before and after the event, also through workshops and training sessions on professionally relevant topics. The Azimut|Benetti Group has always been attentive to the needs and skills of those who participate to the success of their vessels during all phases of the project life-cycle (from negotiation to build and delivery but primarily during the Owner’s enjoyment) and their contribution to maintaining the brand's worldwide reputation for excellence. With this in mind, 15 years ago the first Azimut|Benetti YachtMaster was held. Natalie Ye – Marketing Manager Benetti Asia and local organizer of the event refers: "After the great success of Yacht Master in Europe and US, last November we were in Hong Kong to welcome the first edition of Yacht Master Asia. The two day event took place - first day at Kee Club the exclusive membership club in the heart of our town for a full day conference. Follows with a fine dining experience at Carbone an Italian restaurant in the famous LKF. The second day, entertaining team building activities have be conducted at the well established Gold Coast Yacht and Country Club where you can find a few fair sized BENETTI lined up. As Benetti we welcome all the superyacht captains, chief engineers, surveyors, owner's rep to join our events and share the joy with sponsors/partners also yachting media in the Region participating to witness the success". Yacht Master Asia is part of the new the “Year-long YachtMaster” project that will keep this community in constant communication by means of workshops and stages regarding relevant professional issues. It's composed by 3 major events that aims to extend the presence to global scale - to cover 12 months per year - with local meetings in Asia (2015) and US (2016) in addition to European Azimut|Benetti Yacht Master as main one, from 3rdto 6th of February 2016. Minor events will be held oﬀ-season from September to May. Along with that technical sessions and social events at the yard will be promoted to ensure continuity. Del gruppo Benetti dobbiamo dire poco: iconico dal 1873, è il più grande gruppo nautico a capitale privato del mondo, e ha a disposizione manodopera specializzata nei cantieri di Viareggio, Fano e Livorno. Il designer, Henrik Fisker, è stato il primo a lanciare un’automobile ibrida a ricarica elettrica, la Fisker Karma, ma anche all’attivo progetti per BMW, Aston Martin e Mustang. Insieme, Benetti e Fisker stanno lavorando ad un nuovo (e innovativo) superyacht di 50 metri (164′), che sarà disegnato in California dove Fisker ha il proprio quartier generale e realizzato in Italia.

Ai team di ingegneri navali Benetti si unirà quindi lo spirito visionario del design di interni ed esterni di Fisker per produrre, recita il comunicato stampa, una barca con uno “spirito umano”: spazi inutilizzati ridotti, usabilità massimizzata, esperienza di navigazione ottimizzata. Tutto sarà modernissimo: costruzione in fibra di carbonio ultra leggera, viste sul mare da tutte le cabine, strumentazione di ultima generazione. A bordo non mancheranno una SPA, una piscina, diversi bar, aree prendisole e un beach club, di cui i 12 ospiti potranno godere assistiti da 11 membri di equipaggio.

Il tradizionale evento annuale per i Comandanti di superyacht Azimut|Benetti e professionisti del settore festeggia i 16 anni di successi ed è ora l’elemento centrale del nuovo progetto “Year-long YachtMaster”, che manterrà questa comunità in costante comunicazione, prima e dopo l’evento, anche attraverso workshop e sessioni di formazione su temi professionalmente rilevanti. Benetti Yachts ha annunciato all’appena trascorso Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show la nuova vendita dello scafo N.001 di Mediterraneo 116’ a un cliente americano. Con consegna nel 2016, il 35,5 metri Mediterraneo 116’ è un vero e proprio “turning point” per il Cantiere e rivela subito il family feeling Benetti immediatamente riconoscibile, ma traccia al contempo un percorso di rinnovamento nei linguaggi stilistici.

Mediterraneo 116′ va a completare la gamma Class e allo stesso tempo ne introduce un rinnovamento e ringiovanimento delle linee di alcuni tra i più apprezzati modelli. Il successo di questo yacht è già stato confermato dal contratto firmato per lo scafo n. 001 ma anche dal fatto che è già in costruzione lo scafo n. 002. Tra le caratteristiche di questo modello c’è lo sviluppo delle superfici che dona una sensazione di grande luminosità e il movimento dei tratti è continuo, privo di dettagli che interrompono la purezza del design. I ponti sono allungati a poppa, spostando così il baricentro visivo al centro per garantire alla linea un aspetto equilibrato, dinamico e compatto. Sul main deck fin da subito incontriamo un primo esempio della “rivoluzione copernicana” nella progettazione e distribuzione degli spazi di Benetti Mediterraneo 116’. Il pozzetto è estremamente ampio con i suoi 6 m larghezza e risulta aperto a una visione sul mare che arriva a prua, giocando abilmente sull’ergonomia degli spazi. A prua di questo ponte si trova l’appartamento dell’Armatore. Lo studio si presenta con un disegno dalla pianta molto regolare con un’enorme finestratura. La cabina armatoriale full beam copre l’intera larghezza della barca. L’ampiezza è esaltata da una finestratura priva di montanti a partire da 70 cm da terra (vetro cielo/terra da entrambi i lati). Due le stanze da bagno, per lui e per lei.

Maar waarom zijn watervallen ineens zo’n gewilde design feature in de wereld van de luxe bootjes? Zonder waterval heurt u er tegenwoordig niet meer bij. YachtMaster Asia is part of the new YachtMaster project that intends to keep the Azimut/Benetti community in constant communication by means of workshops and stages regarding relevant professional issues. The project is composed of three major events over the course of 12 months, including local meetings in Asia in 2015, and the U.S. in 2016. These are in addition to the European Azimut/Benetti YachtMaster event, which will be held from the 3rd to 6th of February. Henrik Fisker and Benetti 50m superyacht series concept Wednesday, 23 December 2015

By Gemma Fottles Acclaimed international designer Henrik Fisker Design - whose impressive past projects include the Aston Martin V8 Vantage as well as the Mustang Rocket - has teamed up with the Italian shipyard Benetti to create an innovative new superyacht series. The 50 metre series will feature naval architecture from Benetti, and will be built at the yard’s facilities in Livorno.

The first of the 50 metre series will utilise the maximum amount of space available for leisure and entertainment, and will feature spectacular ocean views from all the major cabins for her 12 guests. She will have several ‘green’ characteristics on board, including several elements of the interior created from reclaimed wood, integrated solar panels, and optional hybrid power.

огромных секций. Эти секции были построены компанией Mec-Carpensalda в Ливорно (Тоскана, Италия), после чего бережно транспортированы баржей на верфь Benetti. О проекте Benetti FB 277 пока мало что известно. Судно будет построено на базе стального водоизмещающего корпуса, надстройку выполнят из алюминия. Дизайн и морскую архитектуру мегаяхты разработали специалисты Benetti. Они же возьмут на себя основную часть дальнейшей работы, включая сборку корпуса. На Benetti FB 277 будут установлены два дизель-электрических двигателя Rolls-Royce. По предварительным расчётам, крейсерская скорость судна составит 16 узлов, максимальная – 18,5 узла. Доставка мегаяхты заказчику запланирована на 2019 год. Недавно Benetti доставила 55,85-метровую моторную яхту Genesis II. 90-метровая FB 262 вскоре будет спущена на воду. Ещё одно 107-метровое судно – FB 279 – должно отправиться в самостоятельное плавание в 2020 году. Суперъяхта обладает всеми фамильными чертами бренда, но при этом свидетельствует о развитии Benetti в области дизайна. Mediterraneo 116’ дополняет линейку Gamma Class. В ней явно прослеживается влияние нескольких моделей Benetti, которые уже пользуются большим успехом. Сейчас на верфи строится второй корпус Mediterraneo 116’, так что интерес к этому эффектному судну очевиден. Одна из главных особенностей новой модели заключается в оригинальном дизайне надстройки. От суперъяхты словно исходит свечение, её линии плавно перетекают друг в друга, не прерываясь. Палубы удлинены к корме, благодаря чему визуальный центр тяжести смещён к миделю. Это создаёт сбалансированный, динамичный и компактный облик судна. Первый пример «революционности» дизайна Mediterraneo 116’ – её главная палуба. Кокпит шириной 6 метров позволяет любоваться панорамой моря и радует очень разумным использованием своего пространства. В салон ведут прозрачные двери шириной 2 метра. Панорамные окна высотой 3 метра наверняка произведут сильное впечатление на гостей. В салоне, помимо небольших диванчиков, есть обеденная зона со столом на 12 человек. В «мастере» (во всю ширину корпуса) безрамные панорамные окна начинаются на высоте 70 сантиметров от пола. Для владельца яхты и его дамы оборудованы отдельные ванные комнаты. Важнейший элемент верхней палубы Mediterraneo 116’ – большая открытая зона в передней её части. Стандартная планировка предполагает установку плавательного бассейна, но возможности «кастомизации» этой зоны таковы, что владелец может дать волю своей фантазии.

Два двигателя MAN мощностью 1400 л. с. каждый позволят судну развивать максимальную скорость в 15 узлов. Расчётный запас хода Mediterraneo 116’ на скорости в 10 узлов составляет 3000 морских миль. Рустам Тарико купил эту яхту итальянской верфи Benetti в 2007 году. В 2014 году ее корпус был полностью перекрашен в доках Benetti в Ливорно.

Сейчас за нее просят 25 млн евро. В шести просторных каютах Annaeva размещается до 12 гостей. Двухуровневая мастер-каюта может похвастаться панорамным видом. На флайбридже — большая джакузи с подсветкой и множество лежаков для загара. 1 из 3

На борту есть лифт и тренажерный зал. Пара дизельных двигателей Caterpillar разгоняют Annaeva до 16 узлов. На крейсерской скорости 15 узлов яхта может пройти 4 тысячи миль на одном баке. Решение о продаже яхты Рустам Тарико мог принять, чтобы «закрыть дыру в капитале» своего банка «Русский стандарт», пишут «Ведомости» со ссылкой на человека из окружения бизнесмена. В 2014 г. банк получил 16 млрд руб. убытка, а его капитал сократился вдвое. Представитель «Русского стандарта» заявил газете, что продажа яхты никак не связана с банком.

Итальянская верфь Benetti Yachts сообщила о продаже первого корпуса новой модели Mediterraneo 116. Заказчиком яхты стал гражданин США, контракт с ним был подписан во время международной выставки Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2015. Судно будет завершено в 2016 году, сообщает пресс-служба верфи. 35,5-метровая Mediterraneo 116 позиционируется как новая ступень развития Benetti Yachts. В то же время в ней легко угадываются характерные для верфи черты. Линии экстерьера непрерывны, а палубы максимально удлинены к корме. За счет этого смысловой центр помещается ровно на миделе, и судно выглядит динамично и при этом сбалансированно. «Модель 116 отлично дополняет линейку Gamma Class и в то же время демонстрирует наш постоянный прогресс, – говорит коммерческий директор Benetti Фабио Эрметто. – Наш успех подтверждается цифрами: за последние 12 месяцев мы подписали контракты на строительство 18 яхт. Новая модель Mediterraneo 116 получилась крайне удачной. Мы уже продали первый корпус, а второй сейчас в процессе строительства». В носовой части главной палубы — мастер-каюта с огромными окнами, нижняя граница которых начинается на высоте 70 см от пола. Здесь имеется кабинет и раздельные ванные. Планировка жилых зон стандартна для Benetti: четыре гостевые каюты расположены на нижней палубе. В каждой окна высотой 1,6 м, которые также начинаются на высоте 70 см от пола, что открывает замечательный вид на уровне моря.

Важнейший элемент Mediterraneo 116 — просторная зона в носовой части верхней палубы. В стандартном варианте там установлен бассейн, но по желанию владельца ее можно использовать по-другому. Также дизайнеры оснастили яхту очень просторной палубой sundeck площадью 80 кв. м и длиной 16 м. Здесь, помимо лежаков, есть удобный бар и обеденная зона.

Для команды предусмотрены три стандартные двухместные и отдельная капитанская каюты. Благодаря инновационному подходу к планировке, экипаж может выполнять свою работу, практически не пересекаясь с гостями яхты. В движение яхту будут приводить два двигателя MAN по 1400 л.с. каждый, которые обеспечат максимальную скорость 15 узлов. На крейсерских 10 узлах Mediterraneo 116 сможет пройти без дозаправки до 3000 морских миль.

Förutom den nya superbilen Force 1 har designern Henrik Fisker en lyxyacht på gång. Den ska byggas tillsammans med den italienska båttillverkaren Benetti och här ser vi en första skiss på hur resultatet kommer att se ut. Den blir 164 fot (50 meter) lång och byggs i kolfiber och några andra material som man än så länge bara beskriver som "exotic materials". Under skalet ska det vara möjligt att få en hybriddrivlina och båten ska även vara utrustad med solpaneler som hjälper till med elen. Designer moving on from penning cars to… yachts

Ever since parting ways with his namesake hybrid car brand, Henrik Fisker hasn’t exactly been sitting around twiddling his thumbs. He’s been busy; remember the Mustang Rocket and the aborted Aston Martin Thunderbolt? What about the Force 1, which will debut at the Detroit motor show. And then there’s his old favourites, the BMW Z8, Aston Martin DB9 and the Artega GT. Anyway, seems ol’ Henry wants to branch out — though we didn’t expect him to team up with the oldest Italian luxury shipyard, Benetti, and create a new superyacht series. But he has. It’s fresh territory for the Dane, who will design a new line of yachts measuring 50-metres long, and we can expect sporty designs, which will include carbon fibre and other exotic materials, as well as optimised ocean views from all major cabins, and use reclaimed wood, integrated solar panels and optional hybrid power. The design will be split across three decks incorporating a ‘beach club’ at the rear, on-board spa, a pool, six guest cabins, accommodation for 11 crew members, and technological advancements including automated controls. Fisker, however, isn’t the first automotive designer to try his hand at designing a yacht. McLaren design chief Frank Stephenson and Ian Callum have dabbled with them before, and don’t forget, Bugatti partnered with watercraft maker Palmer Johnson to design a bespoke luxury yacht called Niniette, and Aston Martin did likewise creating a large powerboat designed and built jointly with a Dutch company called Quintessence Yachts. They dubbed it the AM37. Fisker’s yacht will be designed in California and built at the Benetti facilities in Livorno, at the heart of the Tuscan coastline.

The ďŹ rst photos of Benettiâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s largest ever build, the 107m FB 277, have been revealed. The photos help to emphasise the scale of the project, with the steel hull being constructed in three separate sections due its size. The three hull sections were built in Livorno by Mec-Carpensalda and then carefully transported by barge to the Benetti yard.

Not much else is known about this 107m project at the moment but the FB 277 will have a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure. Design and naval architecture is by Benetti, who will take over the bulk of the work following the arrival of the newly constructed sections of hull. The FB 277 will be powered by two Rolls Royce diesel electric engines and is expected to cruise at 16 knots with of a top speed of 18.5 knots. Delivery has been scheduled for 2019.

Benetti recently delivered 55.85m yacht Genesis II. The 90m FB 262 is expected to launch soon and another 107m, FB 279, is scheduled for 2020. As can be seen in the 2016 Global Order Book, the FB 277 is one of a few yachts over 100 metres currently under construction. Kleven and Oceanco also have large superyachts in build, while LĂźrssen has ďŹ ve projects over 100 metres for delivery by 2019. Parent company Azimut Benetti Group remains the biggest superyacht builder in the world next year, with more yachts on order or in build than any other yard. New design concept will be created for the interior of each one of the three decks that will enhance the space and emphasise comfortable and clean luxury living in a pristine environment. The interiors will boast advanced and sustainable materials, and the latest technology for automated controls and optimal power management. Amenities aboard will incorporate the very popular beach club, a spa, several bars, a pool and sunbathing areas on multiple decks. Accommodation will be divided into six cabins for 12 guests in total. The yacht will be serviced by a crew of 11 whom will be accommodated in comfortable crew quarters. Fisker is famous as the international designer for well-known iconic, exotic and collectable cars. He is best known for his BMW Z8, Aston Martin DB9, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, as well as the Artega GT, Fisker Karma Hybrid, the Viking motorcycle, Mustang Rocket and most recently, the Force 1 among others. The company, Henrik Fisker Design, was founded in 2013 an industrial design house that works across numerous categories including luxury travel, automotive, architectural design, furniture, smart devices, consumer products and technology.

Azimut Benetti holds first YachtMaster Asia DECEMBER 14, 2015

As part of a new “Year-long YachtMaster” project, Azimut Benetti held its first YachtMaster Asia at the Kee Club in Hong Kong from November 17th and 18th. The YachtMaster event brought captains and industry proffessionals together for two days of workshops and training sessions on professionally relevant topics. The European event has been running for 15 years, and was initiated to aid the success of Azimut Benetti yachts during all phases of the yacht’s life-cycle.

The second day, entertaining team building activities were conducted at the Gold Coast Yacht and Country Club.” The YachtMaster series is now composed of three major events that aim to extend the presence to a global scale, covering 12 months per year, with local meetings in Asia (2015) and US (2016) in addition to main European Azimut Benetti Yacht Master event, from 3rd to 6th of February 2016. Minor events will be held off-season from September to May. Along with that, technical sessions and social events at the yard will be promoted to ensure continuity.
