New Benetti motor yacht Breeze sold 12 January 2016 by Malcolm Maclean

A spec build 49.8 metre Benetti motor yacht, Hull Number FB802, has been sold with Antoine Larricq at Fraser Yachts introducing the buyer and is now named Breeze. The second hull in the yard’s new 50 metre series, she has an aluminium hull and a GRP superstructure, built to ABS class with delivery scheduled for June 2016. The third yacht in this series is already in build and will be delivered in 2017. Accommodation is for 12 guests in six cabins including a large main deck master suite. In addition, there are quarters for 11 crew in seven cabins.

Benetti announces the sale of 50m superyacht 'Breeze' Benetti has announced the sale of the 50m custom displacement yacht FB802, Breeze, the second yacht of the series to be built on-spec. Breeze is the third yacht in the series and will be delivered in 2017. Project FB802 features a fibreglass hull, with the superstructure in aluminum, offering several living spaces, salons and special areas dedicated to leisure and entertainment, including a 126sqm sun deck. Benetti creates new series with Henrik Fisker " January 12 Benetti and Henrik Fisker have teamed up to create a new series of 50 metre superyacht concepts. Benetti will be responsible for naval architecture. The yacht will be designed in California and built at the Benetti facilities in Livorno, at the heart of the Tuscan coastline. In a recent statement, Benetti said “Fisker is pioneering a new design concept to enhance and optimize the onboard experience by utilizing more space on the vast superyacht for both hosting and leisure. The design will add a new “human ﬂow” element to reduce unused space and increase its usability.” Fisker is renowned as an international designer of collectable cars. He is best known for his BMW Z8, Aston Martin DB9, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, as well as the Artega GT, Fisker Karma Hybrid, the Viking motorcycle, Mustang Rocket and most recently, the Force 1 among others.

From the principal living and entertaining spaces, to the spacious crew quarters and superbly-appointed galley, fine craftsmanship, exquisite finishes, and intricate attention to detail are at the heart of the interior and all furniture, joinery and soft furnishings are bespoke. The generous and spacious living spaces both inside and out offer softness, comfort and functionality. The Main Salon is an impressive entertaining space with its custom-made U-shape sofa, 12-seater formal dining table and calming grey colour palette, while the Sky Lounge on the Upper Deck offers a more informal lounge environment complete with bespoke cocktail bar and generous seating. There are numerous opportunities for dining across the main and upper decks, but perhaps the most distinguished can be found on the upper deck aft where 14 guests can be accommodated on a bespoke backlit quartzite dining table. An outside bar crafted from over a tonne of natural Italian fluted stone and two symmetrical seating areas with custom-fitted sofas complete this exceptional entertainment space. The most indulgent spot on the yacht comes in the form of a dedicated Spa area. The Steam Room is made entirely from pearlescent mosaic tiles with smoky quartz stones and soothing chroma therapy. The white marble Treatment Room features an adjustable massage bed and heated towel cabinet. On the lower deck, four spacious guest suites comprise two double cabins and two twin cabins. All suites benefit from a beautifully designed en-suite bathroom with Italian marble hand-selected from the quarry and bespoke Lalique crystal taps to complement the generous basin areas. There are also powder rooms on every deck. As the yacht is designed for the owner’s family, child safety features highly in her design including rounded edges and fabric-wrapped walls and furniture, while a child’s cabin is adjacent to the Master Suite.

While Benetti discuss their entry into the Top 100 with world press at the Superyachts.com Press Workshops, an announcement from the Italian shipyard and global brokerage house Fraser Yachts has illustrated a new build project sale measuring 50 metres. The Benetti Breeze FB802 project is the second hull of Benetti’s 50m FB800 series and is set to be delivered in June 2016. A third yacht of the same series is already in construction with delivery in 2017. Antoine Larricq of Fraser Yachts Monaco represented the buyer, a long-standing client, in the purchase of the project. FB802 marks the 7th Benetti New Build project that Antoine has signed in 5 years and the 10th New Build project he has signed in recent years. FB802 is a displacement yacht built to ABS/LY2 standards with a GRP Hull and Aluminium superstructure. Her sleek and streamlined exterior will give way to a light and elegant interior, illuminated by natural light from the panoramic windows. It will feature the Owner’s stateroom on the main deck with a private balcony, and accommodation for 10 more guests on the lower deck with two VIP staterooms and two staterooms with Twins/Pullman. A massage room, pool and full-beam sky lounge are highlights of the bridge deck while a spacious 126m2 sun deck will offer a Jacuzzi and plenty of space for relaxation.

When it comes to companies well positioned for success in the embryonic Chinese yacht market, there can be few better placed than Italian yacht builder Benetti. The historical shipyard not only has its ‘Made in Italy’ tag that has served its compatriot fashion and jewellery brands so well in China, but it can also call upon an array of yacht owners across the world who will readily testify to the impeccable work that goes into its pristine vessels. We caught up with Nizar Tagi, Area Manager for Benetti Asia, to ask about Benetti’s plans to penetrate the China market over the coming years. “Benetti has a very, very aggressive development plan for the next five years” he said, “and as you know we are building at the moment 45 superyachts and Benetti Asia wants to be part of that successful story.” “Benetti is a traditional Italian superyacht shipyard that exists since 143 years and why we are perfect for the Chinese market, there’s basically three main reasons: one is that we have a very wide range of yachts, semi-custom and custom yachts, so we basically cover the whole superyacht market industry from 93’ Delphino up to 100metre plus gigayachts.

Henrik Fisker And Benetti Create Superyacht Concepts

Acclaimed Danish car designer Henrik Fisker and Italian superyacht builder Benetti are joining forces to create a series of innovative superyachts. The collaboration is focused on a new 50-metre yacht set to be designed in California and built at the Benetti facilities in Livorno, Italy. The concept will integrate a new platform developed by Benetti’s engineering team with Fisker’s sporty exterior and interior designs. Fisker is pioneering a new design concept to enhance and optimize the onboard experience by utilizing more space on the vast superyacht for both hosting and leisure. According to its creators, the design will add a new “human flow” element to reduce unused space and increase its usability. The yacht exterior will have a dramatic body using light weight carbon fibre and other exotic materials, as well as optimized ocean views from all major cabins and use reclaimed wood, integrated solar panels and optional hybrid power. The interiors will feature the new design concept for each of the three decks that will enhance the space and emphasize comfortable and clean luxury living in a pristine environment. They will also house advanced and sustainable materials, and state-of-the-art technology for automated controls and optimal power management.

Her builders at Mariotti Yachts have so far shrouded a veil of secrecy over the project, but there are high hopes that the yard, which boasts a distinguished commercial shipping background, is set to deliver an eye-catching new addition into the Top 100.

The second largest new entry according to the forecast is the Kleven 370, an explorer yacht from Norwegian shipyard Kleven. Slated for arrival in 2016, the 116 metre superyacht reflects a growing appetite for exploration and adventure among yachting owners and charterers.

Benetti announce delivery of Superyacht 11.11

At 63m in length, the build features sleek lines and a distinctive vertical axe bow, and is the second plumb-bow yacht to be constructed by Benetti’s naval architects. Its high specification interiors and streamlined muscular exterior reflect its modern luxury superyacht design. 11.11 can accommodate up to 12 guests and 16 crew aboard. She offers multiple spacious living and entertainment spaces, a custom-made U-shape sofa and 12-seater formal dining table in her main salon, whilst generous seating and a bespoke cocktail bar offer a more informal entertainment environment in the sky lounge. Over a tonne of natural Italian fluted stone was used to craft an outside bar on the upper deck, alongside two symmetrical seating areas with custom fitted sofas that help to complete the luxurious leisure space. The dedicated spa area on board features a steam room made from pearlescent mosaic tiles and quartz stones, whilst the white marble treatment room features a heated towel cabinet and adjustable massage bed. On the lower deck, Lalique crystal taps and hand-selected Italian marble compliment the en-suite bathrooms of the four specious guest suites, alongside powder rooms on every deck. Designed with the owner’s family in mind, child safety design choices such as fabric-wrapped walls and furniture feature highly in the design. The child’s cabin is adjacent to the Master Suite. Italian superyacht builder Benetti, has announced it has been shortlisted in four categories in the ShowBoats Design Awards 2016.

Now in its seventh edition, the ShowBoats Design Awards will take place between the 21st and 23rd February and are held by Boat International. According to the brand, the awards honour ‘the creative talents behind the most innovative, elegant and inspiring new yacht designs from the boards of the world’s leading yacht design studios’. Two of Benetti’s yachts have been nominated across five categories. The first of these is the 11.11 vessel, launched last year, which will compete in the ‘Exterior Design & Styling Award – Motor Yacht over 500 GT’ and the ‘Interior Design Award – Motor Yacht over 500GT’ categories. Measuring 63m, the 11.11 is a carbon construction vessel with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, powered by two Caterpillar 3512C diesel engines and able to reach a maximum speed of 16.5 knots. Spanning four internal decks, she was designed by Stefano Righini and includes two full-beam owner’s cabins and four guest cabins, as well as a pool and solarium deck. Also nominated is the 38m IRONMAN vessel, in the ‘Naval Architecture Award – Semi-Displacement Motor Yacht’ and the ‘Interior Design Award’ categories. Measuring 38m, the IRONMAN is also a carbon construction vessel, with the D2P_Displacement Planing® hull and fitted wave piercer, and able to reach a maximum speed of 22 knots powered by two MTU 16V2000M94 diesel engines. Designed by the Benetti in-house team, she spans three decks and a sun deck, and offers four suites and owners’ apartments on the main deck. For more information, visit Benetti.
