Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) Since 1997, in TALLINN Mission: Introduce the world cinema culture to Estonian and international public Popularise the cinema in Estonia Encourage the interactions between the film and cinema professionals both on national and international level Introduce the Estonian cinema culture abroad PÖFF belongs to the world top 50 of 2500 international film festivals (FIAPF- International Federation of Film Producers Associations accredits only 52 festivals). PÖFF is one of the most important film festivals in the Nordics and Eastern Europe with its size of programme and number of visits. PÖFF can be categorised at the same level as renowned international film festivals in Venice, Berlin, Rotterdam and Göteborg. In 2010 the festivals organised by PÖFF attracted altogether 105,000 visits. 2
