The Faculty of Information Technology was established in 1994 as the first faculty at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology. Its unique curriculum as well as transfer of technology from Japan very quickly gained recognition among students and employers. The Faculty's success lies in the continuous modification of the curriculum in accordance with the rapidly developing field of computer science. State-of-the-art computer laboratories and specialised laboratories provide the opportunity to become comprehensively acquainted with the latest trends in the field.

We offer both bachelor's and master's degree (taught in Polish and English) in fulltime and part-time modes. After obtaining the master's degree, there is an opportunity to continue your education at the Doctoral School.

The curriculum is composed of two types of subjects: basic knowledge – obligatory for all students – and specialised knowledge – related to specialisations chosen by students. During the basic knowledge classes, students familiarise themselves with all areas of computer science and learn the most important programming languages such as: Java, C++, Python. Students are also introduced to: basic database techniques, principles of software development, and computer network development as well as applications of multimedia. They also gain some basic knowledge of robotics and electronics. Great importance is attached to mathematical subjects, which are the basis for further education. The academic teaching system also contains a lot of practical elements, which makes our graduates highly sought after on the labour market.

Studying at the Faculty of Information Technology at PJA it fosters student involvement in thriving scientific circles such as RoboLab, Data Science, Project management. Students also have the opportunity to verify their skills in hackathons and international competitions such as Imagine Cup or Seeds for Future.
