The ‘Living Italia’ project aims to present Italian creativity through what we consider two of its most relevant fields: art and design. Through the years, we’ve been observing the expanding boundaries of these two ‘worlds’; which are usually complementary and integrate into each other, when not overlapping even completely. Contemporary art is here interpreted as a mélange of ideas that are carried out into the final outcome: the unique art piece, the final artwork. The same approach is valid for items like prototypes that are being proposed by the industry next to objects that where originally conceived as multiples. Welcome to ‘Living Italia’ and see you in Florence on March 1st, 2012 for the opening of the next editions of ARTOUR-O il MUST and FLORENCE WEEK DESIGN.

IDES - CONTEMPORARY ITALIAN DESIGN SHOWCASE. In many languages - first and foremost Italian - the verb “abitare” (to inhabit) can be interchanged with the verb “vivere” (to live). Nothing, then, better reflects a lifestyle than the objects, the colours, and the rooms of a home. More than in any other place, the home is inhabited by time; and the home is where we experience the time of living. Every home, in particular the Tuscan home, lives between present and past, marked by minute and continuous innovations that are more or less faithful to tradition. Since the 17th century, Tuscany has been home to the finest artisan crafts, including tapestry, cabinet making, and metalworking. Products famous throughout the world for their excellence. And even though Tuscany has embraced the recent revolutions in home living - fashions, technology, design - it still maintains a measured and simple taste. Before start the shower user can place QUANTACQUA inside shower’s box putting feet inside the structure and starting bath. During the bath water’s level will grow up until reach max edge level of 10 liters and once rea- ched he/she can decide if: - Stop the bath knowing to have used 10 liters. - Empty QUANTACQUA and continue the shower using more liters but still viewing its waste. The immediate increasing of water’s level could be a good motivation also for all users which are not interested in water’s waste problem but which could decide to use it just for safe money on them monthly bill. Once finished its usage QUANTACQUA can be rolling or bending stocked for safe space inside the room.

GIOVANNI BIGAZZI

Born in 1977 in Florence, Italy, where he currently lives and works, Giovanni Bigazzi has a mutual passion for photography and music, and for this reason he thinks that photography is “music for the eyes”. In the middle of the nineties, Giovanni Bigazzi, not yet twenty years old, became curious about the colours and reflections of Nature, and began taking extemporaneous pictures along the sea and country roads, travelling by his scooter, walking in the woods and along the beach... In the beginning of 2000 he met the artist and teacher Massimo Innocenti, founder of the contemporary art magazine SILERE. This proved to be a turning point in Giovanni’s development, and under Massimo Innocenti’s guidance he began exhibiting his photographic work in collective exhibits with installations and environmental art. In recent years Giovanni Bigazzi presents his photos in individual exhibitions throughout Italy and abroad. He currently works in the music editions and productions of the record label GNB MUSIC and he is enrolled in professional photography classes at the Libera Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence. Since 2009 he collaborates with Tannaz Gallery of contemporary art, a new exhibition area in the centre of Florence. Now his photographic research takes him towards a more careful observation of the language of colours. He prefers capturing the harmonies that interlock and disassemble in the senses, and that enhance themselves in their same absence, where black and white reveal themselves in the perception of their tone, never losing sight of his feelings and of the explosion of colours that Nature and its existence presents. “I don’t care about Time. It is the expression that is important and the sign that it may leave, which is either way a split second or a prolonged waiting... My line of the horizon stands just wherever I watch!” G.BIGAZZI Tel. 0039 33821111003 Web. www.giovannibigazzi.com Email. gbphoto@giovannibigazzi.com

ALESSANDRO MARELLI

Alessandro Marelli, born in Mariano Comense March 28, 1975, deals with issues from the outset of the project, collaborating on the development of furniture with various public and private companies and architectural firms, thereby deepening the knowledge of “material “ wood. While studying at the Politecnico di Milano has a chance to get in touch with Enzo Mari. After graduating in Industrial Design works for a short period with Prospero Rasulo. Recalled by Enzo Mari, will remain as the only employee in his studio for several years, assisting the development of several projects including the preparation of the exhibition by Enzo Mari “L’Arte del Design” held at the Galleria d’ Arte Moderna in Turin. After this experience he decided to open his own recording studio to work on the project. 0039 3293444658 marellialessandro@yahoo.it www.alessandromarelli.it

The project “Office wraparound” occurs as a result of a study on livability the office environment and all aspects associated with its use, relevance, receptivity, confidentiality and equipment.
