BREAKBULK The Port of Tyne has years of experience in handling breakbulk cargoes such as forest products and metals. We positively relish the challenge of those unique, one-off project cargoes and offer a flexible approach to our provision of services on site.
The Port of Tyne has the facilities, equipment and expertise to handle a wide range of unitised, breakbulk and project cargoes. Construction and recycled materials, forest products, steel, machinery and project cargoes – we handle the lot. Breakbulk and project cargoes are shipped on regular deep sea and shortsea services.
Customers include GE Wellstream, Hitachi, Höegh and International Plywood. We have high-quality facilities and services including stevedoring, warehousing, stock management and distribution, all backed by our portcentric approach to logistics.
