About our 2023 calendar
The theme of our 2023 calendar is once again Naturally PoCo, highlighting the beauty in the flowers, wildlife and landscapes that can be found in and around Port Coquitlam.
All photos featured in the calendar were submitted by community shutterbugs.
The cover image, entitled Humming Bird Nest, was captured by Michel Obadia near Hyde Creek.
We thank all contributors and will feature these and other submitted photos in City publications and portcoquitlam.ca/photos.

Don’t be a wishcycler.
Do you put things in the recycling bin without knowing if they can be recycled, or if you have prepared them properly?
When you wishcycle, more goes to the landfill. Wishcycling can also lead to expensive fines for the City, driving up costs that are passed on to taxpayers.
TWO WAYS TO AVOID WISHCYCLING:
1 Put waste in the right place
Check the Sort it Right search engine on the PoCo Sort & Report app or at portcoquitlam.ca/sortitright.
2 Prepare recyclables properly
• Empty and clean containers to prevent contaminating a load of recyclables.
• Keep recyclables loose to reduce processing problems – don’t bag, stack or bundle them
wishcycling • [wish] [sai·kluhng] verb
