Adaptive & Inclusive Recreation (AIR) GUIDE TO INCLUSION SERVICES—A Team Effort

2. Contact Inclusion Services a minimum of 10 working days before start of activity. Aquatics requests go through pools.

3. Complete a phone intake and fill out the ACCOMMODATION FORM provided by Inclusion Services

4. Communicate absences and changes to schedule, feedback on supports, and participant experience

Program Coordinator

1. Connect with families requesting support to discuss options

2. Determine appropriate support to be provided

3. Connect with families to share determined support plan

4. Communicate support plan to site and Inclusion staff

1. Meet program registration requirements

2. Adhere to Code of Conduct

3. Be able to remain with other program participants and staff in a safe and healthy way

• For ADA requests and questions, please contact 503-307-4131. Please allow at least two working days for a sign language interpreter request.

• Personal care is provided in activities for individuals up to the age of 5.

• If you are requesting an ADA accommodation for swimming, please contact the pool in which the activity takes place.

• Inclusion Assistant: Provide one-onone assistance to people with disabilities participating in a wide variety of PP&R programs and activities.

• Van Drivers: Drive a 15-passenger lift van on AIR outings in the community.

Camps leave from East Portland Community Center

Teen Explorer Camp

Age 12–21

Monday–Thursday • 9:00–3:30pm • $155 Experience our local parks through hiking, games, hands-on activities, nature play, and forest crafts. Sneak among the trees, peer into woodland homes, stumble upon wild berries and nurture a sense of wonder! Be active, have fun and learn about nature in this adaptive camp.

Teen Destination Camp

Age 12–21

Monday–Thursday • 9:00–3:30pm • $180 Spend the week exploring fun, cool activities in the Portland area. These trips will range from Alpaca Farm, Putt Putt Golf, Humane Society and Camp 18. Each day of each week, we will be going to different places around town. The cost of these activities is included in the price of this adaptive camp.

Sign up beginning at 12:30pm: MAY 17 for June 26–July 30 camps* | JUNE 21 for July 31–August 27 camps *No camps July 3 or 4

Friday Night At The Movies

Meet new friends and enjoy popcorn as we watch a favorite movie together. Each month we will explore a different genre.

Have fun dancing to our DJ Lamar! Socialize with friends, both new and old. Our new time is from 6:00–7:30pm! By registering prior to the dance you will be part of the VIP club and get a glow in the dark necklace to wear!

Virtual—Bingo Bonanza

Age 12 & up

Your favorite game of bingo just got an upgrade. Get five in a row or four corners, then shout out bingo! Cards will be mailed prior to the session start date. All you need to supply is something to cover your numbers. Prizes for the winners! To pick up prizes, coordinate with Dawn Hubbard.
