Advanced Piano | Age 10–18

Note: We are currently waitlisting for all instrumental lessons. Thrive with customized instruction. Build the skills and abilities needed to enjoy music as a participant, gaining self-confidence and developing self-expression. During the school year, individual lessons are complemented with required attendance in a music skills class or ensemble (see below)

The CMC Private Lesson program runs through the school year 2022–23 (October to June). Lessons are scheduled between instructor and student at a mutually agreeable day and time, as verbally confirmed. Your instructor may require materials not included in registration fee.

Beginners start with 30-minute lessons; advanced students (playing concertos or sonatas) move to 45-minute lessons; 60-minute lessons are provided in special cases. Suzuki, traditional, hybrid, and other instructional methods are used, depending on the instructor. Daily individual practice between classes is a required part of successful music instruction.

Enrollment Process

New-to-CMC students: Use the “application” activity number below to be put on a waiting list for an opening. Placement with an instructor depends on openings that are available at the time you apply.

• New Beginners: Apply using activity code 1149757

• Students with prior lesson experience who are new to CMC: Apply using activity code 1149758

If/when a placement with a teacher is made you will be asked to set up a payment plan for lessons and attend a parent orientation class.

• Continuing CMC students are already registered through mid-June and stay with the same lesson schedule through the school year.
