First Kicks

A beginning class in Tae Kwon Do, a Korean martial art similar to Karate. The class teaches self defense using kicks, blocks, punches, and strikes both as an exercise program and as a means of self defense. Flexibility and strength are increased through movement developed over hundreds of years in Asia. Emphasizes cooperation, self control and a non-competitive, non-violent approach to martial arts.

Come get your ‘kicks’ with us! Discover a traditional noncontact Korean martial art. Great lifelong aerobic exercise for the entire family. Emphasis on the five tenets of Tae Kwon Do: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit. Achieve your black belt goals!

Intro to Pickleball

An introductory class to pickleball, one of the fastest growing sports in the U.S. Basic paddle strokes will be taught; as well as, how to serve, what is the no-volley zone, and keeping score. By the end of the session you will be playing an actual game. Fun, social and friendly. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. All equipment will be provided; wear comfortable clothes for movement and basic gym shoes.

Develop basic techniques that build your skills while enhancing sportsmanship and teamwork. Develop coordination and increase agility while learning the rules and fundamentals of the sport.

Pickleball—Skills

Ready to take your game to the next level? In this class we will continue to develop your pickleball skills in the fundamentals of the game. Coaching will be provided in a relaxed small group setting, with an emphasis on recreational play. Sessions will include technical and tactical instruction on serves/returns, dinks, and groundstrokes; using drills and rally play. Attendance in our Introduction to Pickleball class (or similar experience) is a prerequisite for this class. Must have at least 6 months of experience with pickleball. All equipment will be provided; wear comfortable clothes for movement and basic gym shoes.
