LAST MATCH RECAP The Timbers could not overcome an early first-half deficit in a 4-1 loss against Western Conference foe FC Dallas before 15,992 fans at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, on July 25. The Timbers finished the match with 10 shots, including three on goal, and remain in sixth place in the Western Conference standings. Despite the road loss, Portland is just two points behind the LA Galaxy (34pts) for third place in the conference through 22 matches. The loss was just Portland’s second in its last nine regular-season matches (4-2-3) against FC Dallas. Midfielder Michael Barrios tallied a brace with goals in the 12th and 22nd minutes for FC Dallas, while Kellyn Acosta added a goal in the second half and Mauro Diaz netted a penalty kick. Forward Fanendo Adi registered a penalty-kick goal in second-half stoppage time after new signing Lucas Melano drew the call.

NO PLACE LIKE HOME Providence Park opened on April 14, 2011, in front of a sold-out crowd in the Timbers first-ever home match as an MLS team. The club proceeded to sell out all of its regular-season home games in the team’s first four MLS seasons. Spanning the 2013 and 2014 seasons, the Timbers compiled an MLS-club record 22-game unbeaten streak (12-0-10) at Providence Park from April 6, 2013 to June 1, 2014. The streak ranks as the third-longest all-time in MLS history.
