LAST MATCH RECAP Midfielder Jack Jewsbury registered the game-winning goal in the final minute of second-half stoppage time and the Timbers earned their second straight win in a span of four days with a 2-1 victory over the Colorado Rapids on May 30 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo. The road win marked Portland’s second consecutive victory and the team’s first win at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park since joining MLS in 2011. Midfielder Gastón Fernández netted the opening goal in the 38th minute.
Providence Park opened on April 14, 2011, in front of a sold-out crowd in the Timbers first-ever home match as an MLS team. The club proceeded to sell out all of its regular-season home games in the team’s first four MLS seasons. Spanning the 2013 and 2014 seasons, the Timbers compiled an MLS-club record 22-game unbeaten streak (12-0-10) at Providence Park from April 6, 2013 to June 1, 2014. The streak ranks as the third-longest all-time in MLS history.
