LAST MATCH RECAP Behind a late second-half goal from midfielder Diego Valeri, the Portland Timbers recorded their third straight win in league play, defeating the San Jose Earthquakes 1-0 before 17,850 fans at Avaya Stadium on May 5, as the team tallied its first away win of the season.
Providence Park opened on April 14, 2011, in front of a sold-out crowd in the Timbers first-ever home match as an MLS team. The club proceeded to sell out all of its regular-season home games in the team’s first eight MLS seasons. Spanning the 2013 and 2014 seasons, the Timbers compiled an MLS-club record 22-game unbeaten streak (12-0-10) at Providence Park from April 6, 2013 to June 1, 2014. The streak ranks as the third-longest all-time in MLS history.
