LAST MATCH RECAP Forward Maximiliano Urruti tallied a goal in the fifth minute and the Timbers contained Eastern Conference-leading D.C. United to earn a 1-0 shutout win in front of 21,144 fans at Providence Park on Wednesday. Pressing from the opening whistle, the Timbers tallied the game-winning goal in the fifth minute as Urruti converted a right-footed shot from close range following a well-placed low cross from Fernández on the right flank. The goal marked Urruti’s second of the season and Portland’s 200th goal as an MLS club since 2011.

Providence Park opened on April 14, 2011, in front of a sold-out crowd in the Timbers first-ever home match as an MLS team. The club proceeded to sell out all of its regular-season home games in the team’s first four MLS seasons. Spanning the 2013 and 2014 seasons, the Timbers compiled an MLS-club record 22-game unbeaten streak (12-0-10) at Providence Park from April 6, 2013 to June 1, 2014. The streak ranks as the third-longest all-time in MLS history.
