LAST MATCH RECAP Despite controlling a majority of the possession and registering a 17-8 advantage in shots, the Timbers conceded a goal late in the second half in a 1-0 loss against Western Conference side Sporting Kansas City in front of a sellout crowd of 21,144 fans at Providence Park on Oct. 3. Sporting KC grabbed the lead late in the 83rd minute as forward Krisztian Nemeth dribbled into the box, placing a low, hard shot into the bottom-left corner of the goal.

Providence Park opened on April 14, 2011, in front of a sold-out crowd in the Timbers first-ever home match as an MLS team. The club proceeded to sell out all of its regular-season home games in the team’s first four MLS seasons. Spanning the 2013 and 2014 seasons, the Timbers compiled an MLS-club record 22-game unbeaten streak (12-0-10) at Providence Park from April 6, 2013 to June 1, 2014. The streak ranks as the third-longest all-time in MLS history.
