PGMAG: What are some of the steps to gaining conscious happiness and inner peace? AMS: The first step is self awarenes, then followed by starting a deep and loving journey by integrating your light. This will prepare a fertile soil to grow miracles in your life with seeds of acceptance, gratitude, responsability, appreciation, adaptation, respect and serenity. It is
that reality is not good or bad but neutral, and that the main reason humans suffer is because of lack of acceptance. Also, we are always arguing with reality or chasing ideals that don’t fit, resulting in dissapoitment, anger, sadness, anxiety and unhappiness. PGMAG: You talked about ‘forgiveness and deep gratitude’. How can one cultivate such habit, and what are some of the benefits?

INTERVIEW WITH:
DR. JOSEPHINE BENNETT (DJB) PGMAG: Dr. Josephine, so good to have you on today’s interview with Lady Anita. DJB: It is definitely my pleasure to be here with you today Lady Anita. I’m grateful to be able to share a little about myself with the Powerhouse Global community of readers and leaders. PGMAG: Please briefly introduce yourself to our readers. DJB: I am Dr. Josephine Bennett. I live in the United States, more precisely in the state of Alabama. I wear many hats but two that bring great joy to my life are wife and mother. I have a wonderful husband, Aldric and a beautiful daughter, Alaina. I am an independent HR data consultant, a government adjudicator and I also work with a management consulting firm, Everett Advisory Partners. I obtained a Doctor of Business Administration degree in Human Resources from Liberty University. I also possess an MBA and a B.S. in business management. I enjoy researching and analyzing data and helping others analyze data as well. My research interests include workplace behavior and psychology, generational paradigms and the various aspects of human resources. PGMAG: As a leader, what are some of the keys to promoting diversity and equality in the workplace?
12 JULY 2021
DJB: To achieve diversity and equality requires one to first understand what these terms are and what they are not. They are not a training session or training objective. They are not a program to be implemented and achieved. They are not a social media graphic or status that is shared due to social pressures. In actuality, when we create these mental parameters to diversity and equality, we undermine the very ethos of achieving them. So rather than using “training,” “program” or “social media campaign” as a means to define these terms, these concepts should be

seen as mechanisms that are utilized to embrace and achieve diversity and equality. I would like to add that I believe that in order for organizations to be truly transformative and impactful, diversity and equality is necessary. To achieve this, there does have to be a place of acknowledgement of the current standing of the business. By standing I don’t mean what has been said about diversity and equality, I mean what has been done. I’m a data person and I always advocate for data-based decision making, for me that helps to alleviate bias. So, to understand the current standing requires a comprehensive assessment
of the numbers. You cannot promote what you do not see. By measuring or assessing diversity and equality, this gives a great visual of not only where you are but also those areas where growth may be necessary.
of the business. Broadly, this means that all organizational stakeholders understand the organization’s commitment to diversity and equality. The workforce reflects diversity and equity. It means it’s visible in the data and the daily operation of the business.
Of course, once current standing has been identified and a plan drafted, a key process is engrafting diversity and equality into the very fiber

various business leaders as well as through observation, realized that a lot of organizations and organizational leaders don’t understand their workforce. Whether they are faced with an unengaged, unmotivated and unproductive workforce or being plagued with very high rates of turnover, there just seemed to be a disconnect between these issues and organizational understanding and action. I also noticed that sometimes organizations are collecting information about these issues but have difficulty when it comes to understanding how to analyze the data or draw insights from the data. Seeing this, I wanted to be able to fill that gap. I wanted to be able to offer myself as a resource to help resolve these issues that are often overlooked and unaddressed. As a result, I began work as an independent consultant. As a consultant I assist organizations with metrics and analyses that include, ROI, turnover, employee satisfaction and engagement, training effectiveness and workforce analysis. In a sense I work as data specialist to aid organizations in not only understanding these metrics, but I also provide strategic,

organization specific solutions that are designed to help with the bottom line. Depending on the organizational needs these solutions may include writing a plan to collect data, designing employee surveys, analyzing existing data or surveys or sometimes it’s simply reviewing and streamlining existing HR analytics processes. The second aspect of my business is dissertation coaching. Again, with a solution focus, I realized that a lot of doctoral students encountered difficulty when it came to numerous aspects of the dissertation process. A frequent area is data analysis.
I encountered numerous candidates who needed assistance with identifying the best statistical methods for their study. Sometimes these students just needed someone to simplify the complex terms of quantitative analysis. That’s where I come in as a coach. I answer questions, help to navigate, guide and motivate doctoral candidates to successful dissertation defense. PGMAG: Considering the impact of covid-19 on a global scale, what are some of the measures needed to aid economic recovery?
PGMAG: What were the top three books that changed your life?
DJB: The most important and impactful book that changed and continues to guide my life is the Bible. This book has helped to guide me through some of the most successful points in my life and also some of the most challenging. The second book is The Shack and the third is, If You Want to Walk on Water, You’ve Got to Get Out of the Boat. This book was a message to me that there are some things that I can plan and calculate but there are some things that require faith. Things that require operating in a manner that defies logic and having faith in the word of God alone. PGMAG: What is your message for world leaders? DJB: My message to world leaders is simple, be a leader worth following. Be kind, be considerate, make decisions that are ethically sound and be accountable to those that you lead. PGMAG: What would you say to your younger self?
she is beautiful, she is smart and with God she can do anything that she sets her mind to do. PGMAG: Finally, what makes you laugh? DJB: I really try to find laughter in most things, but one thing that really makes me laugh is my daughter. She is a child with a lot of character, and she is just really funny. PGMAG: Thank you for your time – much appreciated. DJB: I’m glad to contribute to a magazine that seeks to positively impact the global community at large. The stories and experiences that you share are beneficial to so many. So again, I say, the pleasure is mine. PGMAG: Please share your links with us. DJB: My website is www. DJB: I believe that through Covid-19 a lot or employees and individuals lost their faith is businesses. There were numerous programs that were designed to keep people at working and with a suitable income, but there were still massive layoffs. Employees were left feeling expendable, and unsecure and many have been unable to rebound from the financial impact of being off work. Now as the outlook brightens for return to work and business returning to normal operations, employees seem less willing to return to companies who left them without health insurance, income and stability. With this hesitancy to return to work, we see a significant amount of staffing shortages, business operations are negatively impacted, and employees seem to require more from organization before they return to the workforce. Employment numbers have an impact on economic standing, so I believe that companies have to make a conscientious effort to restore society’s faith in their social responsibility commitment.

INTERVIEW WITH:
DR. GEORGE C. FRASER (DGF) PGMAG: Dr. Fraser, so good to have you on today’s interview with Lady Anita. DGF: Thank you, it is an honor to do this interview. And congratulations to Lady Anita for her servant leadership and Powerhouse Global Magazine. When we control our own narrative, media, and images the real stories of Black America can be told. Pgmag has clearly contributed to the empowerment of our people, thank you for that. PGMAG: Please briefly introduce yourself to our readers. DGF: All the things I’m about to say, I say with humility, I really don’t like talking about myself, but you asked, so here goes. Starting from humble beginnings I was born into a family of 8 boys and 3 girls in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn, NY. My mother became mentally ill, so me and 5 of my siblings were orphans for 2 years then put into toxic foster care for 13 years. I graduated High School with a vocational diploma in carpentry because no one thought I was college material. My first real job was an award-winning floor mopper and bathroom cleaner at LaGuardia Airport. My core beliefs: It’s not how you start, its how you finish and how you do anything is how you do everything! Today I am Chairman and CEO of FraserNet, Inc., a company I founded 34 years ago to lead a global networking and economic development

My lifelong operating principle has been “Chase excellence, never chase money, and stay the course.” When you are excellent at whatever you choose to do you will not be able to get out of the way of opportunity and money. I spent nearly 20 years in leadership positions with Procter & Gamble, United Way and Ford Motor Company before starting my own business, FraserNet Inc. in 1987. I’ve written 6 best-selling books to include: Success Runs in Our Race, Click and most recently, Mission Unstoppable: Extraordinary Stories of Failure’s Blessings, a book I coauthored with Les Brown. “subject matter expertise”, and a mile wide and a inch deep in matters of the world. Reading, traveling, risk taking…living on the edge of change is where innovation and life is. These are the shortcuts to success. If you don’t have a competitive advantage, don’t compete. Face reality as it is, not as it was or as you wish it were. Control your own destiny or someone else will. There is nothing Black people can’t do as God’s first people, when we put our mind to it. Hell!, we survived slavery and made a meal out of chittlins. PGMAG: How would you describe your style of leadership?
18 JULY 2021
DGF: I’m an inspirational, collaborative and coaching leader. You don’t build businesses you build people and people build businesses. I focus on selecting the right people, I coach and train them, trust them, then give them massive responsibility, flexibility, and plenty of rope. I have excellent emotional intelligence and I practice the philosophy of Stoicism. It’s an odd combination of attributes but it works for me. PGMAG: In your capacity as a global influencer, what are your views on the issue of mental health? DGF: Right about now we can all use some therapy…the last four years has been crazy. We have had two pandemics, so to speak, a human (Trump) and biological (Covid19). Hopefully, you have someone(s) in your life you can speak your truth, be it your partner, spouse, Pastor, best friend, or personal/ family therapist. Hobbies, reading, being alone and vacation time are critical. We should invest as much time on mental wellness as physical wellness. Managing your stress is key…I am a “No drama” kind of guy…I simply “Bless and Release” those who bring angst,
stress, and drama into my life. Many of those people are your family! I like to laugh a lot. PGMAG: What is your message for world leaders? DGF: The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. And stupid. We should be scared shitless of stupid, so: Take care of this planet, this is all we got. You are not a rock star, you are a servant leader, act like one! When you are in your own lane there is no traffic…mining your own business will keep you focused. In the words of Horace Mann, “Be ashamed to die until you scored a victory for humanity.” PGMAG: What could be done to support more women to take up leadership roles across all spheres of industries? DGF: All men should read The Athena Doctrine: How Women (And the Men Who Think Like Them) Will Rule the Future. Science says women are smarter than men at many levels and are better suited to lead. There are now 40 women leading Fortune 500 companies, it will be over 150 within a decade. My personal business solution has been gender equity, at least 50/50
PGMAG: What were the top three books that changed your life? DGF: Excluding the Bible: The greatest stories ever told, they are: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: ground-breaking life principles. Emotional Intelligence 2.0: great lessons on a new and very useful human connection science. The Obstacle is The Way: The Timeless Art of Turning Trials Into Triumph: My introduction into Stoicism, a philosophy I was organically living but didn’t know it. My sister Emma gave me this book and said, “I think you will find this very familiar and interesting.” She was spot on. PGMAG: Considering the effect of the global pandemic (covid-19), what would you suggest to struggling business owners? DGF: The things that hurt will instruct: ask; What did I learn about myself and my business? Did I use these lessons, to flex, pivot, punt, innovate, and
reinvent? What does this say about my long-term survival skills? If you can’t point to and justify your answers with good results…start over or get a job! Businesses are forgiving, but everything you want in life is on the other side of hard! If it were easy why would God need you? PGMAG: What would you say to your younger self? DGF: Learn more. Do more. Be more. Stay the course. Make your life matter! PGMAG: Finally, what does legacy mean to you? DGF: Your legacy is the recognition/remembrance of your “body of work” for your limited time spent on earth in this realm. It begins with your children and ends with your contributions to our world and your community. Your legacy lives beyond your small fragment of time, because when your body is gone, it is gone for infinity, a concept that is difficult to wrap your mind around. Thus, every minute matters, do not waste your time, you can get more money, but you can’t get more time… and you don’t know how much time you have. Finally, to me
legacy is passing on these learned lessons : 1. The past cannot be changed. 2. Opinions don’t define your reality. 3. Everyone’s journey is different. 4. Healing and things always get better with time. 5. Judgements are a confession of character. 6. Overthinking will lead to sadness. 7. Happiness is found within. 8. Positive thoughts create positive things. 9. Smiles are contagious. 10. Kindness is free. 11. You only fail if you quit 12. What goes around, comes around. I can't tell you how happy I am to be featured in your magazine and to be a part of your community and tribe! I'm humbled. PGMAG: Please briefly introduce yourself to our readers. DAA: Well, I am Dr. Ameena Ali…I'm a US Army Golf War Veteran that just retired after 30 Years of Medicine. I retired to accept my role as Founder of the Federation of International Gender and Human Rights (FIGHR) and the offer to work with the UN (with the WHO and UN Women, especially) in the Mission of helping women gain access to the Maternal Care, its education and support and the Mental Health aftercare that is due all women. I have a large, “Intended Family”; spun from the term “Extended Family”, this is a welcoming that describes a family that you not only have as “blood” or those you birthed, but those you CHOSE to welcome as your “blood” and treat them no different. I have Five (5) Daughters… three (3) are “for” me and two (2) are “because of me” that I birthed; now, at last count, I have fourteen (14) Grandchildren and three more that are “Tribe Kids”… children that could be my grandchildren (by age) but not of the family directly.

PGMAG: As a woman in leadership position, what are some of the measures required to create opportunities for the young people? DAA: PERSISTENCE. This is far and apart the greatest thing you can give anyone and anything, when establishing a thing! There has to be a goal in mind that you look to for motivation but not to HOLD onto it too tightly, in its execution. This is the mentorship-pendulum that swings from that at 2am phone call of desperation and need to that simple letter that is needed to refer them to the next step in life…and every angle and need in between. It’s like the “Intended Family”,
PGMAG: What is your message for those struggling with low self-esteem? DAA: There is no such thing; you cannot “suffer” from a social construct. I don’t believe in this term… I think it is society’s way to describe what THEY feel is happening within that woman…person… whomever. But I bet the person being judged as having “Low Self Esteem” would describe it differently. That (relative) level of outward presence that is JUDGED and devalued based on the experience and the bias of the person judging them, reflect the bigot, not those that lay in judgement. Women that don’t know how to express themselves yet, are not sure how to manage a trial, tragedy or trigger, might emote differently. Her/Him/They should not be GENERALLY denigrated for the emotive response of a SPECIFIC thing. For example, if while you are conducting this interview, you get a call that your Mom passed of cancer, most would initially cry. You would agree, right? Well, if it was my Mother that suffered long with it, I would

Does that mean that I’m cold and calloused or would that mean that I just handled it differently! Knowing that my mother is no longer in pain… no longer suffering… FREE. OF. THIS. Ummm… sidenote here: First of all…who set the bar to say what is the measure of “Low” or “High esteem” in society… was it someone with low selfesteem that needed validation of their levels of healing or was it the need to label something to help others become experts in being better able to judge? Next is, are why are there microaggressions around this, as if “Low esteem” is a bad
thing! Noting that nothing is good or bad, needs to be fixed, or is a “bad trait” of someone. This could be a need to grow, a need to know or a stage of learning a new thing in this process and the “negativity” seen could be a beginning stage of that process. How many times have you been on a diet… and failed? Is your failure a factor of low esteem or no will power or is it just proof that this is not the diet for you? I see the term “low self-esteem” as a judgement of others that most seem to buy-into and not a defining point in a person! PGMAG: Tell us more about your initiatives/projects. DAA: Well, the site is the best directive for that; its www. fighr.org This is the catch-all for the day-to-day resource, subsidy and connection for the work that we do. But more specifically, on the MACRO level, we deal with those that are left behind, regionally zoned and pushed behind and those labelled as “other” that are systematically uncounted or deemed “too few” to be recognized. On the MEZZO level, we are savvy to work with ALL Human and Gender Rights Advocates, Sponsors and Allies that work to defend

and protect vulnerable populations that include Sexual and Gender-based Violence, those victims of FGM…or Female Genital Mutilation… Pregnant Child Brides and IDP’s (or Internally Displaced Persons) that are refugees, currently seeking asylum or those just needing to leave a violently domesticated life! On the MICRO level (the most important, in my eyes) We
never had anything (of value) in your life, you just have expensive things. And that you are sitting in a seat of the greatest giving yet you are the greatest thief! You don’t receive help from other agencies and governments, you just seize on the disadvantage of the very people that swore you to service…and its deplorable! I am quite ashamed, at this point to serve with them, but know
deal the macabre tendencies of these mental and physical violations and match them with world helpers that are the true “Angel Investors”; those that give of their time, open their hearts (and homes at times) and become the to be (long-term) gatekeepers to the healing and resilience that is needed in recovery of most of the cases we take on.
that I will offer my assistance and relief in this, very soon…
PGMAG: What is your message for world leaders? DAA: Stop the povertymindset. (Especially in the African Continent) Stop showing us that you are not a leader, but that you possess a seat of power. Stop showing us that your talent lies in stealing, validating your poverty-mindset and that the word dignity is not one in your arsenal of vernacular! You truly have

PGMAG: What are your views on gender equality? DAA: Simply that we should not need to have this conversation. Do have talks, slogans or campaigns around White-Male Privilege? Absolutely not! But I'm clear that that if all the world was a stage, if you will, there would be definite power that would arise to show that women are just plausible, just as courageous and just as talented as ANY. MALE. ALIVE. She is genetically resilient (Minority Leader, Attorney Stacey Abrams), politically resolute (New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Arden) and Poignant in HER Wisdom (Madame Phylicia Rashad) at any stage of HER view in society. But SHE is here
and SHE is not going away so equality will always be organic… I think now we just have to build a new table to feed this to humanity on…stay tuned! PGMAG: What were the top three books that changed your life? DAA: WHOOO… ok… I have to narrow it down to three? Ok… Well, I would have to say Emotional Intelligence (Harvard Business Review) leads the pack. This was the book that gave definition to my elevated IQ and the use of it in my born leadership; EI is the “love child” if the left-brain and the rightbrain had a baby! Next, I will have to pull on the two reasons that FIGHR began, which is “Dignity” and “Leading with Dignity” (both by Dr. Donna Hicks). These set EI on FIGHR/FIRE (no pun intended… well, maybe a little bit). This is the creating of the CULTURE that brings of the best in people! This is the mission… THIS. IS. THE. WORK. I'm so humbled to have been gifted all three (3) of these books and pray great blessings on the women that sent them to me. PGMAG: What are some of the steps to leading a successful team?
This alone speaks to the repeatable programming of the Humanistic Approach to being resilient in a society that needs powerful leaders to emerge! This is the “Stacy Abrams” (as I mentioned), “the AOC” (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez… my GIRL!) and even the quiet approach of our VP Madame Vice President, Kamala Harris! They all lead with a resilience in a manner that hits all four of these points! PGMAG: What would you say to your younger self? DAA: GIRL. SIT. DOWN….and take many seats! All that EG you got ain’t worth the salt of the tears you will shed later on, because of it. The lies you are telling yourself in order to FEEL…something and the pain you will cause others, because of it, will not be worth it…at all! You are a shell of a person
But I'm clear that that if all the world was a stage, if you will, there would be definite power that would arise to show that women are just plausible, just as courageous and just as talented as ANY. MALE. ALIVE. and someone that just needs to grow into that big brain of yours! But… you will be just fine…just sit down right now… you are irritating me! PGMAG: Finally, what is your message for women? DAA: Two things… One is… KEEP. GOING. That is a phrase that is said by my “GLAM-squad” as I call them. (GLAM=Growth, Leadership, Atonement, Mentorship) these are the women that have made the mistakes and paid the price, that are now leaders in their own right, that teach though their “Master Classes” of their life to encourage and empower

Powerful Global Women Foundation (Powerhouse Charity) was founded in 20l6 in Nigeria, West Africa, by Lady Anita Duckworth-Bradshaw. The core objective of this organization is to transform the lives of women and children, through various projects centred around the need of the service group. In 20l6 Lady Anita single handedly fed over 400 children as part of “project feed l000 children globally”, and held an empowerment conference for the women. Through this project, so many women have gone to do great things with the knowledge they gained from the event. She recently held a life transforming event for women in Lagos, Nigeria as part of International women’s month celebration 20l8. The turnout was very encouraging. She is working towards supporting more families to keep their children and wards in school through” project back-to-school” starting in September 20l8. We are seeking for global support from individuals and organisations who would love to be a part of this service to humanity. To support us, please visit: www.powerhouseglobalwomen.com or email womanthepowerhouse@gmail.com or powerhouseglobalmag@gmail.com
