Destiny: A Brief Review

Page 1

Collectively Activision and Bungie are planning bring 10 years of Destiny to us, and they don’t care whether we desire it. From widely playing over the content of the game, though I can declare this game needs some work, however there's certainly some hope. The entire assumption of Destiny might be somewhat perplexing. Bungie attempted advertising this as a "shared world FPS". That is a little bit of a vague description but essentially Destiny is a mixture of powerful FPS mechanisms and MMO components. The comparisons hit on games like Halo, Diablo, WoW and Call of Duty. The closest game you have played to Destiny is most likely Borderlands, though. When you boot up the game of Bungie, you will be quickly gazing your eyes on an extremely perplexing cutscene on Mars. You will then go on to produce your character. It does not have the width of say console RPGs or World of Warcraft, though. You will feel significantly less than exceptional when your helmet comes off in the Tower. Character Classes There is a little more wiggle room in regards to character classes. With Destiny, you've got access to the fleet Rogue, the volatile Warlock (Protip: check out their exotic armor), as well as the Titan which is like a walking tank. Each group has two distinct leveling up trees and even at a soft max level set in place at 20, you will still be unlocking more choices in the tree. Up to now, there hasn't been one option in any of the category trees that are "must haves", luckily as of now, it is all about player inclination. I am of the thought that it is a great thing considering Destiny does not compel anyone to decide between the MMO standard of having Healers and Tanks. Everybody is doing their thing and damage is running around with tons of explosions that are amazing.

In the game you will be firing your weapon when you're not using your distinctive character skills. You will be shooting a lot, so much so that you will use enough bullets to break the NRA. ;) Nevertheless, Destiny is an RPG at its heart, so FPS enthusiasts may be frustrated when their never-ending numbers of

well-trained headshots don't bring an enemy down fast. To be honest, that is where a bulk of enjoyment comes from with Destiny. You will feel great when your fireteam eventually brings down a strong leader in the conclusion of a strike. In the event you have had the luxury of playing with a Halo game, you will fit right in here. The weapons feel amazing, changed and above all, enjoyable. Granted, some foes take forever to vanquish, however, you will be having an excellent time in the firefights that are polished. I simply wanted us to have much more diverse opponents, and more of them. Most of the boss-fights in the game (excluding anything in the raid as well as the enormous Spider Tanks) all feel the same. There is plenty of classic Bungie designed vehicles and maps. I'd love to simply fight it out with my buddies in a classic Deathmatch game. The game styles were lacking in multiplayer too. I am a huge fan of Halo's Large-Team Deathmatch, but I will need to await a special occasion in the weekend to play with it? Lame. Iron Banner will likely be contained during a special occasion too, as seen in the beta. This game style is very good and your equipment will really matter on just how much damage you will do, unlike the Crucible matches that are balanced. When we were teased at E3 2013 with Destiny, the lore of the game appeared profound and fascinating. After playing with the game's storyline, it is anything but. From when you finish your first story assignment to the ending of the game, none of your narrative questions will probably have any resolution to them. I actually should not need to use a web site or a program to get the full understanding of a narrative, thank you very much. Like most MMO's, remarkable upgrades that will enhance the game as a whole will be received by Destiny. There are glaring difficulties and frustrations with Bungie's latest, but it is still a fun, long-lasting game. Until the sequel, we'll be amused with loads of DLC down the pipeline. With equilibria and subtle changes, Destiny could become the creature we need it to be, it is only unlucky we will need to wait just a little more in order for it to climb to greatness.
