Understanding Destiny's Potential Lifespan
You see, here’s the thing. Many people think Destiny won’t last long since you hit level 20 so quickly. Not true. You see, because Destiny actually does just begin when you reach level 20, it has a very long lifespan. Longer than people think. Much longer. This is because Destiny is much larger, and much more clever game than some are giving it credit for. It bears very little similarity to the standard, linear titles we are used to, although it does not convey its complete width of horizons very quickly. Nor do the RPG elements make it just Halo with levelling. The game’s extent goes considerably broader than that. The real game just begins to show itself after level 16, and some would say not even until level 20. Uncommon loot begins to appear comparatively often from 16+. That loot begins to appear with additional stats you will not have seen before. Stats for Discipline, Mind, and Stamina. Stats you might have been conscious of, but never comprehended until this 'late' period of the game.
Then you will come to comprehend those stats. And you will come to realize that they are actually customizing your character. And this really is merely intro-level stuff, even though you’re close to the max level.
Firearms that end up saving you ammo when you miss a shot. Helmets that recharge charactercapabilities quicker when you kill specific foes. Firearms that draw quicker. Gauntlets that cause cooldown loops that are even stronger, particularly if you join all of them with the right exotic weapon (see Power On Pub to find the right one for you), Discipline and Strength stats. And we are still only getting started. Reach that 'level cap' that everybody is moaning about, and you will learn you have finished Destiny's tutorial. Congratulations. Incidentally, there is still a ton more to learn. Do you see what I’m getting at? This is a game with significant longevity. It, and its sequels, will be around for quite some time. So enjoy it!
