Ada F. Estrada is the president and founder of MAS Tax Accounting Services Inc./ Lovelace Inc., based in Miami, Florida. Ada specializes in corporate and personal taxes, accounting, and bookkeeping. She is also a Realtor and the owner of Miami Ocean Investment Properties Inc.

Ada’s adolescence shaped her into the headstrong woman she is today. At the age of 17, due to political turmoil and instability in Nicaragua, she fled her home country and immigrated to the United States. After a few years (when Nicaragua was more politically stable), she returned to be close to her family. At the age of 25, Ada established a prominent food business there called Gabe’s Burgers. This was accomplished while she was studying marine biology and veterinary sciences at Mobile University in Carazo, Nicaragua. Once she became a mother, she prioritized her children’s safety and she returned to the U.S. Leaving behind her studies, family, and everything Ada knew in Nicaragua, she now had the opportunity to pursue a different career path. She then earned a B.S. in Accounting with a minor in Management Information Systems from Florida International University.

Ada managed to finish her studies while raising five children. One of Ada’s children is autistic, so he required more attention and nurturing than she had experience with, but just as she studied for her career, she studied for what would be best for her son and is always his biggest supporter.

After graduating, Ada established her second business, MAS Tax and Accounting. This business started about 20 years ago in her garage with her family and has continued to steadily expand. Clients rave about how long they’ve known Ada and her family and how they’ve always remained reliable, dependable, and caring. Once her accounting firm took off, Ada then received her real estate license and opened Miami Ocean Investment Properties to help the people of Miami find a place to live that they could love. She enjoys making the home-buying process a bit easier for others.

What do you do to escape and recharge, even for a few hours?

I love to spend time with my sister. We are very close and she’s either at my home or I’m at hers. Family time is very important for me so that is who I mainly spend time with when I have extra time.

What advice has helped you get to the next level?

Never give up no matter how hard things may seem. Always keep pushing forward. Be willing to try new things and see what you like. Plans change and you have to be able to adapt.

What advice would you give to your younger self?

Keep going no matter what because you will make it. Don’t let anything stop you because you are so much closer than you can imagine.

Additionally, Ada has always been a very creative and artistic woman. This led her to create her swimsuit line called Sun Bar collection, which depicts different endangered animals in a unique and public way. The Sun Bar collection is meant to raise awareness on endangered animals and make you think about how often you truly see them anymore.

Ada has been featured on television shows including “News Café” and “Despierta America” for her unique Sun Bar design. These shows not only showcased Ada and her collection, but also praised her for shedding light on the endangered animals in such a bold way. Ada enjoys interior decorating and her large family including her dogs.
