Movie Showing: “The Passion of the Christ”

In this version of Christ’s crucifixion, based on the New Testament, Judas expedites the downfall of Jesus by handing him over to the Roman Empire’s officials. He is tortured as he drags a crucifix to nearby Calvary, where he is nailed to the cross. He dies, but not before a last act of grace. Due to the nature of this film, it is rated R, with a run time of 2 hours.

Ever since people began to gather in small communities, they have found ways to fill their idle time with both athletic and mental competition. Board games existed in ancient cultures, and many are still played today. This class examines 12 games from around the world, including Chess, Senet, Go, Checkers and more. The Islamic Golden Age lasted from about 750 until about 1250 AD. Advances inside the Islamic civilization during this time are comparable to those of Ancient Greece and the European Renaissance. It was a time where a mixture of cultures worked together to produce advances in many areas. Part 1 focused on the creation of the House of Wisdom and early scholars. In part 2, we will learn about achievements in medicine, architecture, poetry, calligraphy and carpets. The course is not focused on the Islamic religion, but is about the history of a civilization that had Islam as the state religion. Join us for a series of DVD lectures on this topic. Bavarian Barons German Band Concert

Founded over 30 years ago in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Country, the Bavarian Barons German Band’s extensive repertoire features German polkas, waltzes, marches and folk tunes. Brothers In Grace has ministered throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, delighting audiences with their unique Southern Gospel style music and tight harmony. The members of the quartet feel blessed that the Lord has enabled them to serve Him in a manner they love the best and which provides a message of encouragement and hope to the listener. Brothers In Grace has performed with some of gospel music's best-known artists and prominent speakers. Since their inception in 1994, they have recorded seven projects and produced three concert videos. This drama, religious and action film is the epic biblical story of the resurrection, as told through the eyes of a non-believer. Clavius (Joseph Fiennes) and Lucius (Tom Felton) are tasked with solving the mystery of what happened to Jesus (Cliff Curtis) in the weeks following the crucifixion in order to disprove the rumors of a risen Messiah and prevent an uprising in Jerusalem. North American Indians

Scholars estimate that when Columbus landed in 1492, there were two million North American Indians. In the 2020 census, four million Americans identified themselves as Indian. Who are these Americans? Where do they live? What languages do they speak?
