Located in the Star Points Building, the Barley Wellness Center offers state-of-the-art equipment, fitness classes and an indoor pool and spa. Trained staff will help you develop a personalized fitness program.

Fit for Life focuses on balance, strength and flexibility to help increase your strength and stability for a better quality of life.

Senior Yoga

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 11:30 a.m. - Noon Assembly Room

Our instructor, Claudia, will guide you through a gentle half-hour yoga session of seated and standing poses focused on strength, relaxation, balance and flexibility.

Tuesday & Thursday 9 - 9:45 a.m. Designed to work your entire body, this class will benefit individuals who are looking for an active cardiovascular workout with intervals of strength, flexibility and range-of-motion exercises.

Walking Group

Tuesday & Thursday 11 - 11:30 a.m. Assembly Room

Our wellness staff will warm you up and cool you down with various exercises before and after a short walk. Join neighbors and friends for good music and conversation, all while contributing to a healthy, active lifestyle.

Stretching

Our instructor, Nikki, will guide you through gentle stretches to improve flexibility and balance and increase range of motion, making it easier to perform everyday tasks.

The Masonic Village Workshop is a non-profit club giving residents the opportunity to use a space for woodworking, crafting and minor repairs. There is a wide variety of hand and power tools available, as well as a separate “finishing room” for painting and varnishing. There are enough workstations in the shop for several people to work at the same time. All are welcome, and we hope to see you there.

Todd DePastino and Jim Kehl – “When Civilians Manned the Ships: Life in the Amphibious Fleet During WWII” Tuesday, March 22 7 p.m. Assembly Room

Resident Jim Kehl got an up-front and personal view of the Pacific War as an ensign aboard a landing ship medium (LSM), a small flat-bottomed vessel that could slide on and retract from sand, mud and coral. He wrote about his experiences in a masterful memoir, “When Civilians Manned the Ships: Life in the Amphibious Fleet During World War II”. It’s a rollicking tale of adventure and courage, along with a lot of humor. Todd will engage Jim and have him share stories of World War II with us!

Phil Fawley has taught us of stalagmites and stalactites, but now we go into a cave of crystals in Mexico, which can have individual crystals 35 feet long. North Allegheny Senior High School Presents: “The Drowsy Chaperone, A Musical Within a Comedy” Tuesday, March 1 2:15 p.m. Complimentary

“The Drowsy Chaperone” is a musical with a book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar and music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison. It is a parody of American musical comedies of the 1920s.
